Franklin Fueling Systems 600 Series Guide

This kit is for use with Healy Model 600 Series Nozzle only
Follow all federal, state and local
laws governing the installation of this
product and its associated systems.
When no other regulations apply, follow NFPA
codes 30A and 70 from the National Fire Protection
Association. Failure to follow these codes could result
in severe injury, death, serious property damage and/
or environmental contamination.
Always lock out and tag electrical circuit breakers
while installing or servicing this equipment and any
related equipment.
G4 Nozzle
Vaporguard Removal
The vaporguard must be removed prior to beginning the
600 Nozzle spout replacement procedure.
1. Unscrew and loosen the vaporguard clamp. If the
clamp is an Oetiker type, slip a small screwdriver
under the overlap tab on the bottom and pry up
past the locking tab.
2. Rotate the vaporguard back and forth a maximum
of 5º in each direction and pull to separate the
vaporguard from the nozzle.

Spout Replacement
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the #81.
panhead screw (Healy Part No. 6102) holding the
spout in place.
With the screw removed, use a maximum rotation2.
of 15º in each direction to separate the nozzle and
the spout. Three O-rings should come out with
the spout. If not, check to see if the O-rings are
trapped inside the nozzle.
Note: There is an additional o-ring inside the nozzle in a
separate groove. This must be left in place.
Install new (not used) O-rings on the replacement3.
spout and lubricate the O-rings with oil.
Carefully insert the spout into the nozzle, lightly4.
pushing both parts together until the spout aligns
itself and resistance is felt.
Use a maximum twisting motion of 15º and light5.
pressure to slide the two components together,
seating the O-rings and aligning the screw threads
in the spout housing with the hole in the nozzle
casting.
Use the new #8 panhead screw and the new6.
O-ring, provided with the replacement spout, to
secure the spout in place.
Tighten securely to 12 inch-pounds.7.
Vaporguard Replacement
Slide the vaporguard over the spout. Use a1.
pushing / twisting motion of no more than 5º in
either direction to slide the vaporguard onto the
nozzle.
Install a vaporguard clamp and tighten it securely.2.
Verify that the “HEALY” logo on the vaporguard is3.
aligned with the top center of the nozzle.
Testing
Dispense a small amount of product into a1.
container deep enough to cover the small hole
near the tip of the spout.
Immerse the spout until the hole is covered and2.
attempt to dispense product. The nozzle should
shut off. Repeat this step three times to be
assured that the auto shut-off feature is working
properly. There should be no sluggishness to the
shut off: it should be quick and positive. If shut off
does not occur, turn off the dispenser, remove the
spout, and check the O-rings.
Repair or replace the O-rings as necessary.3.

G6 Nozzle
Read and follow safety warnings on page 1.
Vaporguard Removal
