Product Description
The Free Range Feeder design was develo ed to satisfy the needs of the hobbyist and
the homesteader. The convertible design allows for several mounting methods. See
the installation sections of the manual to decide which will work best for you.
This feeder was designed to fit 75 lbs of feed. This makes it easy to fill the feeder
without having to consider storage or artial bags. Made of heavy duty steel, this
feeder is made to last.

Assembly
Work on a smooth, non-marring surface to avoid scratching the anels during
assembly. Refer to the arts list for art identity.
1. Lay the left anel (3) on your assembly surface.
2. Slide the back anel (2) and left anel (3) together, as shown.
3. Turn the feeder to where the
back is facing you and use 2
screws to loosely secure the
anels together. Do not
tighten at this time

4. Turn the feeder to where the front is
facing you and lace the front anel (1)
into osition and attach with 3 screws.
5. Place the right side anel (4) on the
assembly with the to edge slightly
below the other anels as shown.
6. Slide the right anel left and under the
back anel’s to fold.

7. Attach the right side anel to the front
anel with 3 screws.
8. Turn the feeder to where the back is
facing you and use 2 screws to
loosely secure the back anel and
the right side together. Do not
tighten at this time.
9. Turn the unit so that the front anel is facing down. Place the lid onto the bin
as shown.

10. Insert the two shoulder bolts through both
sides of the lid, ensuring they are securing
all three layers together (the lid, back and
right anels).
11. Install the nuts onto the shoulder bolts
with your Allen key and wrench. The
shoulder bolts are ro erly tightened if 3
threads are ex osed ast the nut.
12. Secure the lid shut with ta e.
13. With the unit face down, rotate the feeder with the back facing you and install
the 4 bin hangers (7) as shown.
Note the orientation of the notch
in the hanger.

14. Gently tighten each of the rear anel screws. These will be loosened again
during installation.
15. Orient the feeder on its to .
16. Install the tray facing forward or rearward facing de ending on your
installation requirement. Use the air of holes that will rovide the
a ro riate ga for feed to flow into the tray.

Installation – Surface Mount
For a quality installation, mount the feeder onto studs or other solid surface ca able
of bearing the weight of the feeder when it is full.
1. Remove the back anel screws that are not
securing the mount lates.
2. Loosen the mounting late screws, rotate the
lates into osition as shown and re-install and
tighten all 8 back anel screws.

3. Orient the feeder on the surface to
which you wish to mount it. The
height of the bottom of the feed
tray is a roximately 7 inches for
average chickens. Adjust this
height as necessary for your
livestock.
4. Attach the feeder to the surface with a ro riate fasteners using the 8
mounting late holes.

Installation – Through all with Reverse Tray
This installation method ermits the feeder to be installed through the wall of your
coo . This allows the food to be dis ensed inside while the feeder can still be filled
from outside.
1. Create a hole in a 16 inch studded wall. The width will be 14.5 inches and
the height will be 22.5 inches. The to of the hole should be laced at 33.75
inches above the surface from which the chickens will be feeding. This will
ut the tray 7 inches above the surface. Adjust this as necessary for your
livestock.

2. Place the feeder through the
hole from the outside.
3. From the inside, remove the
back anel screws that are not
securing the mount lates.

4. Loosen the mounting late screws, rotate
the lates into osition as shown and re-
install and tighten all 8 back anel screws.
5. Push the feeder to the to of the hole
and secure the mount lates to the wall
with a ro riate fasteners.
