How the Collar Works
This collar has seven sensitivity levels and uses sound and vibration to deter barking. As your dog
barks, the collar progressively cycles through combinations of sound and vibration until your dog’s
eighth bark, when the collar enters a 1-minute sleep period for your dog’s safety. Make sure you start
at the lowest sensitivity level (1) and work your way up as needed.
DO NOT PUT THE COLLAR ON YOUR DOG WITHOUT TESTING THE COLLAR FIRST.

1. Hold the collar with the probes facing you.

Testing the Collar
Locate the sound hole between the probes. This is where the collar listens for your dog’s barks.
Adjusting the Sensitivity
The collar comes pre-set to the fourth sensitivity level. Adjust it using the + and – buttons
on the side of the collar. Listen for a beep while you adjust the level. If you don’t hear it,
you’re at the highest or lowest level.
If you have a long-haired dog, you should change the probes to the longer probes.
Use the test bulb tool to loosen and tighten the probes. It fits over the probes like a wrench.
For short-hair dogs, use the short probes. For long-hair dogs, use the long probes.

Installing the Battery
1. Remove the blue faceplate from the collar.
2. Pull the collar loose to expose the battery cover.
3. Remove the cover, insert the battery and replace the cover.
4. Pull the collar tight and replace the faceplate. It should click into place.
Once the battery is installed, you should hear a beep, and the
collar will be set to the fourth sensitivity level.

Fitting the Collar
The right fit ensures the collar will work properly. If the collar doesn’t fit correctly, it may not pick up
your dog’s barks or it may activate randomly.
1. With your dog standing, put the collar around their neck.
2. Make sure the probes are directly in front of their throat.
3. Tighten the collar using the slide adjuster until you can fit one finger under the strap.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Q: The collar activates continuously.
A: The sensitivity may be set too high. Lower it by pressing the – button on the side of the collar.
A: The collar may not be tight enough. Tighten it using the slide buckle on the collar.
Q: The collar activates when my dog shakes their head.
A: Your dog may shake their head because they’re not used to the collar yet. It’s important to make
sure your dog is at ease with the collar. Try treats and play to help them relax.
Q: The collar doesn’t activate when my dog barks.
A: Test the collar manually as described in this guide. If it works correctly when you test it, you may
need to increase the sensitivity level or make sure the collar fits your dog properly.
Q: The collar beeps but doesn’t vibrate.
A: The battery doesn’t have enough current to make the collar vibrate. Replace it with a new 6V
4LR44 battery.
Q: The collar activates when my dog hasn’t barked.
A: The collar does sometimes give false alerts due to environmental noise or high sensitivity levels.
However, most dogs will quickly learn when the collar has gone off without a bark.
