Fuel Fill Points
All three fuel tanks are filled at this location on the side of unit near the rear.
Fueltankcapacitiesare:
100 US Gal(378L)for eachheater tank
40 US (150 L)Gal.for generator tank
Refer to rating plate in generator compartment for specific details.
Approximate maximum run time for IDF1000 is approx. 32 hours.
CAUTION:Do not attempt to fill tanks too quickly or overfill tanks which can increase the risk of spills or backsplash

Swing Open Side Access Doors
Access to Heater Discharges
Heater discharge doors have safety interlock switches
and each door must be open in order for therespective
heater to operate.
Access to Heater Controls
Heater inlet doors provide access to the heater controls
and should normally remain open during operation.

Rear Compartment Power Distribution and Controls
Control functions for both Kubota & Isuzu engine versions are similar except that the fuel gauges & gauge lights are activated by the
“Generator Lights” pushbutton on KUBOTA powered units and by the key-switch on the LOFA control turned to “Run” for ISUZU powered
units.
Individual Circuit Breakers are provided for each heater and the auxiliary power receptacle.
Main power Circuit Breaker is mounted on the generator for KUBOTA powered units and on the control panel for ISUZU powered units.

Fuel gauge operation & gauge lights are activated by
pressing the “Generator Lights” pushbutton switch.
Control panel for Isuzu powered units.
Fuel gauge operation & gauge lights are activated by
key-switch placed in “RUN” position on LOFA panel.

Momentary pushbuttons to activate time delay compartment

Battery charger and block heater switches are push on - push off
switches with indicator lights.
These are functional whenever the unit is connected to a shore 120VAC
power source.

Compartment Lighting Timers
• Compartment lighting (and fuel gauge operation on Kubota
powered units) is controlled with time-delay controlsactivated
with momentary pushbutton controls on the panel to prevent
battery drain from constant unattended operation.
• The operation and timing functions can be adjusted if needed.
• The timers are located inside the control panel and
can be accessed by opening the front portion of the
panel.
• For normal operation the function setting must be set to “C” in
order for timing modules to provide “Instant On with Delay Off”
light operation.

Gaining Access to Timing Modules and Low Voltage Fuses
KUBOTA UNITS REMOVE THE TOP SIDE BOLTS AND
THE FRONTOFTHE PANEL WILL HINGE DOWN.
ISUZU POWERED UNITS REMOVE THE FRONT
PANEL BOLTS AND LIFT THE FRONT COVER TO
ACCESS THE TIMERS
CAUTION RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
ENSURE POWER IS DISCONNECTED AND/OR GENERATOR IS STOPPED BEFORE ACCESSING THE CONTROLS AND CHANGING TIMER SETTINGS.

using 0 to 10 scale

Startingthe Kubota Engine
Turn key-switch to “PREHEAT” position and press and hold the
Murphy Switch (safety override) to begin fuel pump.
The red light indicates preheating
Hold the key-switch in “PREHEAT” position long enough to
compensate for the ambient temperatures (colder = longer).
15-30 seconds is typical.
Turn key-switch to “START” position while continuing to hold the
Murphy Switch in until the engine starts and release key-switch
back to “RUN” position.
The Murphy switch can also be released when engine starts and
will continue to remain in until the engine is stopped.
Engine is stopped by turning key-switch to the “STOP” position
IMPORTANT: DO NOT STOP THE GENERATOR UNTIL BOTH HEATERS HAVE BEEN SHUT DOWN FIRST AND
COMPLETED THE COOL-DOWN PERIOD AND ALL FANS/MOTORS HAVE STOPPED.

Startingthe Isuzu Engine
Turn key-switch on LOFA control from
“OFF” to “RUN” position.
LOFA control with key-switch placed in “RUN” position isalso
used to activate fuel gauges &gauge lights. The electric fuel
pump will also operate for a short period.
Preheating will be shown by
illuminated “PREHEAT”
indicator light.
IMPORTANT:DO NOT STOP THE ENGINE/GENERATOR UNTIL BOTH HEATERS HAVE BEEN SHUT DOWN FIRST AND HAVE
COMPLETED THEIR COOL DOWN AND THE FANS HAVE STOPPED.
