BindP300punchesupto 15sheetsof20 Ib./80gram
paperatonce.PunchonlyTWOclearcoversatatimeto
preventjamsandexcessivewear.
5. If punchjams,depresstheRESET~button (03).Then
pressthePUNCH~button (02) againandremovepaper
orcoversfrom punchthroat(it maybenecessaryto punch
severaltimesin orderto removethepaper).Repeatsteps1
to 4 withslightlylesspaperto avoidpunchjamsonaddi-
tionallifts.

1.Firmlypushthefemaleendofthepowercordintothe
powercordreceptacle(A)locatedonthebackofthe
machine(seefigure1).
h CAUTION:Makesurethis stepis completeprior to
~ pluggingthe maleendot thepowercordinto a power
receptacle.
2 Plugthemaleendofthepowercordintoanappropriate
powerreceptacle.
B.DETERMINESHEETWIDTH
1.SetEdgeGuide(8)to papersizeyouwishto bind(11",
8-1/2"lettersize,11-1/4"oversizedcover,A4ring,AS,
JapanA4)(seefigure1).Whenusingoversizedcovers,set
theEdgeGuideonCovers,punchallofthecoversfor your
jobandsetaside.MovetheEdgeGuidebackto the11"
settingto punchyourcontentsthenbind.
C.DETERMINEPLASTICCDMBSIZE
1 SlidetheBinderSizeropen(C)(seefigure1).
2.PlacedocumentincludingcoversbehindBinderSizer.
3. ReleasetheBinderSizerandselectthecombbinding
elementthatcorrespondswiththe sizeshownbyguide.
Onlycombsizesupto 1" (25mm)areshown.Your
DocuBindcanbinddocumentsupto 425sheets,or 2"
(50mm)combsize.Forbestresults,alwaysuseGBC
brandcoverswith GBCcolor-coordinatedbindingcombs.
E.BINDING
1. PlaceaPlasticCombBindingElementbehindtheVertical
Comb(E)withtheopenportionof elementfacingyou(see
figure3).
2. RotatetheBindLeverup(E1)towardyouuntiltheComb
BindingElement(E2)openssufficientlyto insertyour
document(seefigure4).
3.Threadfrontcoverfinished.sidefacingdown(seefigure5),
ontoopenBindingElementFingers(E3).Threadpages,
frontfacingdown,ontoelement.Repeatfor largedocu-
mentsasrequired.Placethebackcover,finishedside
facingupwardonopenBindingElementFingerslast.
4. PushtheBindLeverawayfromyoubackto itsoriginal
positionto closethebindingelement.
5. Removebookbyliftingupward.Yourpresentationis
nowcomplete!
6. OnceyoubecomefamiliarwithyourDocuBindP300,
youwill findthatyoucanbindasyoupunch,increasing
yourproductivity.
F.EMPTYCHIPDRAWER
1. EmptyChipDrawer(F)afterrepeateduse.Pulldrawer
gentlytowardyouto open.Whenputtingbackin,the
drawerwill snapintoplace(seefigure6).
D.PUNCHINGPAPER(seefigure2)
1 LifttheWirePaperSuppor1(D) intoplace(optional).
2.Alignsheetsorcoversandinser1edgeto beboundinto
punchthroat(D1).
3.Jogthesheetsuntiltheyareflushagainsttheedgeguide
andthebottomofthepunchthroat.Allowthepaperto rest
againsttheWirePaperSUppOr1.or,youmay
preferto holdthesheetsinplacewith onehand.
