INSTALLATION
To placetheshredderontoyour basket,slidethe
adjustablearmto theappropriatewidth sothat both
armsfit snuggly. Theshredderwill fit basketsfrom 13'
to 16' (330mmto 406mm)wide. Plugthe unit into a
standardACoutlet.
MATERIALSYOUCANSHRED
Yourshredderwill handlemostanytypeof office paper
documents.Youcansafelyshreddocumentscontaining
staples,however,other metalitemsmaydamagethe
shredder.
ON/AUTO
Simplyinsertpaperinto thecenterof thethroat. Once
your documenthasactivatedthetrigger switch,the unit
will turn onandoff automatically.
FORWARDANDREVERSE
Movingthe switchto eitherof thesepositionswill cause
the unitto run inthecorrespondingdirection.
CLEARINGJAMS
If a paperjam occurs,switchthe unitto the reverse
position untilthe paperis out of thethroat. In some
cases,it maybenecessaryto alternatebetween
FORWARDandREVERSEpositionsseveraltimes to help
clearexcesspaperfrom the cutting area.
THERMALCUT-OFFFEATURE
Thisshredderisdesignedfor lowvolumeshredding,
andis notintendedfor continuousoperation.Thisunit
featuresathermalcut-off devicethat automaticallyshuts
off the shredderif run for anextendedperiodof time. If
this occurs,simply allowtheshredderto coolfor 25
minutesbeforeresumingoperation.
