Charging Battery Pack(s)
1. Select Models Only: The main battery pack
of K120 requires installation of a guide plate.
Insert the guide plate to the right side of the
battery slot at an angle (as shown by and
below) and then push it toward the right
to engage it (as shown by below).
2. Align the battery pack’s connector with the
battery bay’s connector and insert the battery
pack into the bay. (No particular order is re-
quired.)
CAUTION: When inserting or removing the battery
pack, be sure to do it in a straight up or down
manner. Never insert or remove the battery pack
in a slanted way because this can damage the
connector pins.
3. Plug the DC cord of the AC adapter to the
power connector (). Plug the female end
of the AC power cord to the AC adapter and
the male end to an electrical outlet ().
Different MB800 models have
different type battery bays.
Shown here is one of them as
the example.

4. For each battery pack inserted, the correspond-
ing FULL indicator will light up in green to
show the charging progress. Starting from
the bottom bar, one green bar represents
20% charge. When fully charged, only the
highest bar glows.
When multiple battery packs are inserted,
they are charged in parallel.
Troubleshooting
•
If the bottom bar of a FULL indicator flashes
red, it means there is an overheating problem
with the particular battery bay and charging
for this bay is stopped. In this case, check if
any ventilation openings are blocked. Discon-
nect the power cord and wait for the charger
to cool down. If the problem persists, please
contact Getac service center for repair.
•If the bottom bar of a FULL indicator flashes
amber, it means the battery pack in the par-
ticular battery bay has a problem and charging
for this bay is stopped. Check if the battery
pack is abnormal.
Safety Instructions
•
If a ground/earth pin attachment plug on the
AC power cord is provided, always plug the
cord into a grounded/earthed outlet. Do not
disable ground/earth pin of the plug/cord.
•Avoid placing the charger in a location subject
to high humidity, extreme temperatures, me-
chanical vibration, or heavy dust.
•Do not cover or block any ventilation openings
on the charger. For example, do not place the
charger on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar
surface. Otherwise, overheating may occur
that results in damage to the charger.
•Do not place the product on an unsteady sur-
face.
•To avoid hastening the deterioration of the
battery pack thereby prolonging its useful
life, minimize the number of times you charge
it so as not to frequently increase its internal
temperature.
•The charger will stop charging when input
voltage from the AC power line is unstable.
•Avoid touching any connectors.
•Avoid exposing the charger to water or an
electric shock may occur.
•Disconnect the power cord from the charger
when not in use. When the charger is con-
nected with AC power, it is still in standby
mode even if the battery is fully charged.
•The AC adapter is designed for use with your
battery charger. Connecting the AC adapter
to another device can damage the adapter
or device.
