FEATURES
The GIMA big dial analogue scale is a device for measuring the weight of the human body.
The wide measurement range makes it ideal for any kind of use.

PRESCRIPTIONS
Do not use the equipment in case it is damaged. Apply to your retailer.
Avoid precarious repairs. Repairs shall be carried out with original spare parts only,
which shall be installed according to the intended use.

Since the product is made of corrosion-proof materials suitable for the enviromental conditions
foreseen for its normal use, does not require special care, however it is necessary to store it in
a closed place making sure that is protected from dust and dirt to assure its hygenic conditions.
Moreover, it is recommended to store the product in a place which can be reached easily by the
personnel in case of necessity.
UNPACKING
Always remember that packing elements (paper, cellophane, stitches, adhesive tape,
etc.) can cut and/or hurt if they are not carefully handled. They shall be removed with
adequate means and shall not be left at the mercy of irresponsible persons; the same is
valid for tools used to remove packages (scissors, knives, etc.).
After opening the packages, rst of all it is necessary to check all pieces and parts composing the
product. Check that they are all present and in perfect conditions.
OPERATION
- Position the scale on the oor in a stable position (ex.: not on a rug)
- Verify that the pointer is set to zero
- Put and remove a weight from the scale a few times and verify that the pointer returns to its
position exactly on the zero, if necessary reposition the pointer using the adjustment wheel.
- Step onto the scale and verify that both feet are positioned in a manner that will distribute your
weight evenly over the entire scale platform, read weight.
- Try to stand as still as possible for a precise measurement
- To obtain valid results for statistical purposes, weigh yourself every day possibly at the same
time. It is best to weigh yourself without clothes and in the morning as soon as you wake up.
Caution: the scale can hold a maximum weight of 160 kg, do not overload the scale or
it could get damaged!
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance
- Use the product only for the intended purpose specied on the present manual.
- The unit is suitable for domestic use only. It is not designed for commercial operation.
- The product is a fragile measuring device. Prevent it from crashing or falling.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The device was designed to last a lifetime. The surface of the unit may only be cleaned using
a wet cloth. Do not use any detergents or hard objects as they may damage the units’ surface!
Never clean the unit under running water, do not rinse it, and do not sumbmerge in water!
GIMA WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Congratulations for purchasing a GIMA product. This product meets high qualitative standards both as re-
gards the material and the production. The warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of supply of GIMA.
During the period of validity of the warranty, GIMA will repair and/or replace free of charge all the defected
parts due to production reasons. Labor costs and personnel traveling expenses and packaging not included.
All components subject to wear are not included in the warranty.
The repair or replacement performed during the warranty period shall not extend the warranty. The warranty
is void in the following cases: repairs performed by unauthorized personnel or with non-original spare parts,

defects caused by negligence or incorrect use.
The warranty is void if the above regulations are not observed and if the serial code (if available) has been
removed, cancelled or changed.
The defected products must be returned only to the retailer the product was purchased from. Products sent
to GIMA will be rejected.
