BEFORE ASSEMBLING FAN TO MOUNTING
BRACKET MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE
BRACKET SUPPORT WALL CAN SUPPORT
FAN.
CAUTION
CAUTION: Read and follow all instructions before operating
fan.Do not use fan if any part is damaged or missing.
WARNING:
- To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not expose
to water or rain.
- To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not use this
fan with any solid state speed control device.
- Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug.
Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for
examination and/or repair.
- Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with
throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route
cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away
from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
- The appliance does not apply to be used in locations
where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of
a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas).
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
- To reduce the risk of injury to persons, install fan at least
2.1m(7 feet) above the floor.
VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:
Always follow these instructions to avoid bodily injury.
DANGER: Do not submerge motor or allow motor to be
exposed to water. Personal injury and/or death could result.
WARNING: Risk of electrical shock------This fan is supplied
with a grounding conductor and GFCI type plug. To reduce
the risk of electrical shock, be certain that it is connected
only to a PROPERLY grounded receptacle.
WARNING: Electric shock hazards------may cause severe
personal injury or death. For your safety, turn off the
electrical power supply at the service entrance before
installing, moving, or servicing your fan to avoid any
possible electrical shock hazards. Never make adjustments
to the fan when in power is on. When plugging in fan,
adjusting head and changing speeds------NEVER stand in
water. This practice can result in a dangerous or even fatal
electric shock.
DANGER: Never handle the fan or motor with wet hands
or when standing on wet or damp surface or in water.
Fatal electrical shock could occur.
WARNING: Electric shock hazards------may cause severe
personal injury or death.
Do not under any circumstances remove the power supply
cord ground prong or ground fault unit.
For your personal safety, the fan must be grounded.
The fan is equipped with a power supply with ground fault
circuit interrupting device. Removal or tampering of power
cord will void warranty.
CAUTION: Read and follow all instructions before operating
fan. Do not use fan if any part is damaged.
Never use an extension cord to connect the fan to an outlet.
All installations must be made into a grounded outlet.
UNPLUG THE FAN WHEN NOT IN USE
RULE FOR SAFE OPERATION
Never insert fingers or any other objects through the grill
guard when fan is in operation.
Disconnect the fan when moving from one location to
another.
Disconnect the fan when removing guards for cleaning.

Be sure fan is on a stable, flat surface when in operation.
DO NOT use fan in windows. Rain may create electrical
hazard.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or
injury to persons, observe the following.
a) Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by
qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable
codes and standards, Including fire-rated construction.
b) Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and
exhausting of gases through the flue(chimney) of fuel
burning equipment to prevent back drafting. Follow the
heating equipment manufacturer's guideline and safety
standards such as those published by the National Fire
Protection Association (NFPA), and the American Society
for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers
(ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.
c) When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage
electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The wall fan must be mounted on concrete wall or on wood
studs / joists. Use wall bracket of wall mount assembly for
locating the
holes to be drilled on mounting surface.
After determining the hole locations, use an appropriately
sized drill bit and, drill holes through mounting surface.
Reference acceptable mounting surfaces and appropriate
drill bit sizes for application.
Attach wall mount assembly to mounting surface using
hardware not provided. It is recommended that a minimum
of grade 5 fasteners be used. The following are acceptable
surfaces for mounting wall mount assembly.
STEEL SURFACE -
When mounting to a steel surface of sufficient strength,
such as a vertical l-beam, drill through holes at pre-marked
locations, using a 9/32" drill bit. Attach wall mount assembly
to mounting surface using 1/4"-20 hex screws of appropriate
length, in combination with 1/4" flat washers, 1/4" lock
washers, and 1/4"-20 hex nuts.
MASONRY SURFACE -
When mounting to a masonry surface use a 1/4" expansion
type bolt or 1/4" masonry lag with shield. Drill holes at pre-
marked locations using appropriate sized drill bit as
recommended for fastener.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SPEED CONTROL:
Select air speed by setting switch to either HIGH, MEDIUM,
LOW or OFF.
CLEANING
WARNING: Unplug from electrical supply source before
cleaning.
1. Use soft damp cloth to clean, then wipe with dry cloth.
2. Do not use a cleaning solution that is harmful to paints or
plastics.
3. Do not bend the blades.
