mended forcomfortableviewing.

ThisTVreceivercan be connected to230-240V~50/60Hz,NEVERconnecttoDC supplyorany
otherpower.
AUTOMATICDEGAUSSING
All colourtelevision receiversaresensitivetomagneticinfluences,usuallycaused byeither
moving the receiverfromone placetoanotherorusing certainelectricalappliancesnearthe
receiver.Thisresidualmagnetismasitiscalled,sometimescausesdistortion whichgivesrise
to"blotchy"areasofcolourinthe picture.Toavoidtheseeffectsthe receiverincorporatesan
automaticdegaussing circuitwhichoperatesforashortwhileimmediatelyeachtimethe

inthe metalpartsofthe picturetube and thereforeensuresthateachtimethe receiveris
switched "ON"using the Mainsswitch,the purityofthe coloursdisplayed on the screen remain
true and lifelike.If the setismoved orfaced inadifferentdirection ,the mainsswitchmustbe
switched off atleast10 minutesinorderthatthe automaticdegaussing circuitoperatesproperly.
CAUTION
Nevertamperwithanycomponentsinside yourset, oranyotheradjustmentcontrolsnot
mentioned inthismanual.All television receiversarehigh voltage instruments.YourPICTURE
TUBE ishighlyevacuated.If broken,glass fragmentswill be violentlyexpelled.Scratching,
shipping orundue pressureisdangerousand shouldbe avoided.When you dustorwipe the
PICTURETUBE FACEorCABINET,the powercordshouldbe pulled outfromthe wall then wipe
the receiverwithadrysoft cloth.All "inside work"on yourreceivershouldbe performed only
byProfessionalServicePersonnel.

ConnectyourTVaerialtothe aerialinputsocketlocated on the back ofthe TV.
Pushthe MainPowerSwitch,PowerIndicatorwill be illuminated.Press the CH./buttons
once,the TVscreen will lightup and will shownoiseon the screen.The TVwill requiretuning
intothe availableTVstationsinyourarea.
Pre-setting the TVstationsintothe Memory
(Note:Presettuning canonlybecarriedoutinTVMode)
1)Press and holdthe SEARCH button on the remotecontroltoselectthe desireband.As
the desired band appearson the screen,then releasethe SEARCH button.
*Press the SEARCH Button oncetosearchorskipforthe
otherbands.
*Onceastation istuned,the searchingwill stop automatically.
*VHF-1,VHF-3and UHFwill displayon screen alter-
natelywhilesearching.
Foryourinformation,The wording "SYS-1"will be displayed inanyone ofthe following
operations,however,itwill neitherhaveanyinfluencenorlead toanyadverseeffecton the TV
operation.
i.When using SEARCH button toperformtuning during TVreception.
ii.When RECALL button ( ) on the controlpanelispressed.
Inanyone ofthe abovecases,the displayed wording "SYS-1"will automaticallydisappear
afterthree seconds.

However,inareasofpoorreception ofconstantinterference,aslightadjustmentofthe tuning
mayimprovethe pictureand sound quality.
Press and holdeitherthe FINE"-"or"+"button until the pictureand sound arecorrect.
During fine tuning,the displaywill show
"TUNE"inred colour,and tuning bar
ingreen.

SLEEP button ispressed,the screen displaywill show""inred colourand the settimein
yellowcolour.Keep pressing the button till the desired settimeappears.
•Anytimeyou brieflypress the SLEEP TIMERbutton,the displaywill showthe residualtime.
Tocancelthe setting ofsleep time,press the SLEEP TIMERbutton until displayshow"SLEEP
OFF".
