INSTALLATION
LOCATEthe receiverinthe roomwheredirectlightdoesnotstrikethe screen.Totaldarkness
orareflection on the picturescreen can causeeyestrain.Soft and indirectlighting is
recommended forcomfortableviewing.
ALLOWenough spacebetween the receiverand the wall topermitproperventilation.
AVOIDexcessivewarmlocationstopreventpossibledamage tothe cabinetorcomponent
failure.
CONNECTION
ThisTV/DVDPlayershouldonlybe connected toan AC230V~50Hzmainselectricalsupply.
AUTOMATICDEGAUSSING
All colortelevision receiversaresensitivetomagneticinfluences,usuallycaused byeither
moving the receiverfromone placetoanotherorusing certainelectricalappliancesnearthe
receiver.Thisresidualmagnetismasitiscalled,sometimescausesdistortion whichgivesrise
to"blotchy"areasofcolorinthe picture.Toavoidtheseeffectsthe receiverincorporatesan
automaticdegaussing circuitwhichoperatesforashortwhileimmediatelyeachtimethe
receiverisswitched on using the mainsswitch.Thiscircuitremovesanyresidualmagnetism
inthe metalpartsofthe picturetube and thereforeensuresthateachtimethe receiveris
switched lifelike.If the setismoved orfaced inadifferentdirection,the mainsswitchmustbe
switched off atleast10 minutesinorderthatthe automaticdegaussing circuitoperatesproperly.

Notes:
•If ghost/noisy stationshavebeen stored when using the AUTOSEARCH method these
stationscan be removed fromthe channellistbyentering the SKIPMode showninthe TUNE
menu.Press the “V+/V-”button and change the OFF statetoON.Press the MENU button to
returntonormalviewing.The unwanted station will be removed fromthe channellistwhen
you change TVchannelsand cannotbe viewed.

BasicOperation
1.Switchthe unitoutofstandbybypressing the STANDBY button then press the “TV/AV/
DVD”button on the unitorpress the DVDMODEdirectkeyon the remotehandsettoturnDVD
mode to"ON".
2.Press “OPEN/CLOSE (EJECT)”button toopen the disk tray.Placeadisk,faceup,on the tray.
3.Press “OPEN/CLOSE”button toclosethe tray.
•Holdthe disc withouttouching eitherofitssurfaces,position itwiththe printed titleside
facing up.
Playing Disks
1.Press the OPEN/CLOSE Button on the frontpaneland load the Disc on the tray.
The labelside shouldbe facing upwards.ForaDouble-sided DVDDisc,putthe disc withlabel
A/1up.
2.Press the OPEN/CLOSE button againtoclosethe trayand the disc will be loaded.
3.The Disc will be played automatically.
•If itisaDVDdisc,itwill showthe Menu/TitlePage on the screen.
•If itisaCD,itwill playthe firsttrack directly.
4.Press the STOPButton ifyou wanttostop the Disc playback You can resumeplayback by
pressing the PLAY button and itwill startatthe location whereyou havepressed stopped
(ResumePlay).
5.Press the STOPButton twicetocompletelystop the DVD.

Thisfunction isavailableforDVDand CD audioonly.
•ForDVD,the picturewill freeze.
•ForCD audio,itwill mutethe sound.
