High Water Alarm
Overview:
The High Water Sensor is designed to monitor the water level in your bilge.
When water is detected it will send out a voice callout 24/7. Typically the
switch is mounted 6 to 8 inches from the bilge bottom. The best reference to
mount it is about a half inch below the level of the boat manufacturers
existing high water switch. This gives the owner an alert prior to the factory
High Water alarms sounding a local siren. The IP rated enclosure should be
mounted at a higher point and accessible for programming.
Batteries: Place the three “AAA” batteries into the wireless transmitter and
program according to the instructions below.
Installation:
1.) Mount the switch in the bilge area of the boat you wish to protect.
Assure that the IP67 rated transmitter enclosure is above the float
switch and that the float switch itself is slightly below the existing
factory High Water Alarm.
2.) Once the equipment is mounted in the bilge, open up the IP
enclosure cover and assure the batteries are placed in properly.
Lights will start flashing on the board when they are.
3.) Go into the programming menu of the Marine Magellan as seen in
the web below. Once you get to the “Press tamper learn button”,
make sure that you press the tamper switch twice quickly within
one second. Program the type to “24 Hour Buzzer”
