after the unit automatically shut itself off.
Lime lter
The removable lime lter prevents lime scale
being poured out.
Dry running and overheating protection
This unit is equipped with a dry running and
overheating protection system. If you ever op-
erate the unit without any water or with too
little water, the unit shuts itself off. Wait a mo-
ment until the unit has cooled off. Fill the unit
with water and continue as usual.
Lift-off shut-off
If you happen to lift the unit off the base sta-

is the so-called lift-off shut-off.

and let the unit cool off.
Clean the exterior of the unit with a soft,
moist cloth. If heavily soiled, you can use a

Decalcifying
Depending on the hardness degree of the wa-
ter, lime scale can build up over time on the
bottom and on the interior wall of the stainless
steel tank. The harder the water, the faster the
lime scale builds up. That is harmless but it can
impair the performance of the unit.
For that reason, we recommend regularly de-
calcifying the unit as follows
• Fill the unit three-quarters full with water.
• Boil it.
• After the unit has shut itself off, ll the unit
additionally with distilled white vinegar up to
the MAX mark.
Important
Never boil this mixture!
• Let the mixture stand overnight.
• Empty the unit and rinse it out several times
with clear water.
Important
You can use other suitable descalers. To do
that, follow the manufacturer‘s instructions.
Customer service department
If your Graef unit has a defect, please contact
your dealer or the Graef customer service de-
partment.

At the end of its service life, this product
must not be disposed through normal domes-
tic waste; rather it must be disposed at a col-
lection point for recycling electronic domes-
tic refuse. The symbol on the product and in
the operating instructions points this out. The

their markings. By recycling, making use of the

protecting our environment. Please ask your
municipal administration about the responsible
