LRS saw Quick start.
This Quick Start shows and describes how to unpack and mount an LRS saw on HXF tool
carrier.
Mounting on other tool carrier is often done in the same way –always use user manual from
current tool. Please remember, this Quick Start does not replace the user manual.
Always carefully read the user manual.
The following sections will show step by step images with explanations:

Mounting the safeguards
The mounting of the tool carrier and saw must be carried out safely and wisely.
•Make sure that the tractor and the front loader can carry the tool
carrier and the LRS saw in a safe and stable way, even if the saw
hangs on the side.
•Assembly must only be carried out on a flat and firm surface, with
ample space so that the tractor and the tools can be freely
manoeuvred without risk of getting caught.
Mounting the LRS saw on the HXF Multi carrier.
Gently move the arm to the mounting plate of the saw. You may use a pallet loader to fine-
tune the position of the saw. Mount 4 bolts and 2 nuts and tighten them loosely on the saw.
Before tightening, turn the entire saw anticlockwise so that the top saw blades cut the hedge first; tighten the bolts
with 140 Nm.

Mounting saw blades and branch guides

•Beware of the sharp saw blades. Avoid cuts - always use heavy
leather gloves.
•The tractor or the skid steer loader must be switched off, the hand
brake must be engaged, and the key must not be in the ignition.

Place the saw blade on the hold so that the teeth are pointing downwards on the front of the saw. Place the
mounting disc of the saw blade on the hold and mount 6 pcs. bolts. Tighten the bolts with 81 Nm. Rotate the saw
blade by hand, the blade should run smoothly and effortlessly, without touching anything. Do this at all 4 blades.

Mounting the branch guides under the saw blades and adjusting the black plastic
rejecter
Dismount the 2 bolts and place the branch guide under each saw blade and tighten the bolts by hand.
Adjust the branch guides and the "plastic rejecter" as close to the blade as possible without touching. It is
important that the branch guide is as close as possible to the cutting side of the saw blade (see photo). Tighten all
bolts.
Control: Turn the saw blades by hand; they must be able to rotate 360 degrees freely, without touching anything.
Careful testing 15-minute test operation without sawing
Before starting, ensure that everything is tightened, that the safeguards of the saw blades
are dismantled and that the saw blades can rotate freely 360 degrees, without touching
anything.
There must be no humans or animals in the vicinity of the saw blades,
especially in the longitudinal direction of the rotation of the blades in
front or behind the saw.
•Start the tractor, let it run with low rpm of the engine
•Check the angle cylinder. Move the saw from full horizontal position to the full vertical
position at least 3 times to bleed the tilt cylinder
•Start the hydraulics for the saw and let the saw operate at a relatively low pace.
•Allow the saw to operate for a while to heat up the oil, depending on the ambient
temperature, 5-10 minutes
•When the oil is warm enough for operation, increase the rpm to ensure that the
tractor supplies at least the needed amount of oil per minute to the HXF (25-50 l/min).
Then the saw blades are operating at max rpm (3200-4000 rpm); see the user
manual.
The "plastic
rejecter"

If the rpm is further increased, more oil is sent to the HXF, but the flow
regulator sends the quantity that is above what is required back to the
tractor. Nothing happens to the saw, but the tractor's oil is injected with extra energy, which
uses extra diesel and provides extra heat in the hydraulic oil.
•Let the saw test run for at least 5 minutes. Afterwards, the rpm on the tractor is
lowered and the oil supply is switched off so that the saw comes to a quiet stop.
•After the test run, check everything on the saw
(PLEASE REMEMBER to carry out the same checks after the first day's work):
•Are there oil leaks? Retighten the hoses and fittings.
•Are all bolts tightened? Retighten the bolts.
•Is the Belt for the saw blades still properly aligned? Adjust the Belts
Now the HXF and the LRS saw are ready for use. Always remember to use safeguards on
the blades for transport and storage.
Mounting the safeguards
•For safety reasons, the safeguards of the saw blades MUST always
be mounted during transport and storage, and must only be removed
before starting the work.
First, the rear safeguard must be mounted and secured with 2 ring pins; then the front safeguard can be mounted
and secured with 2 ring pins
Dismounting takes place in reverse order.
