To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect power to the 120V
electrical outlet before installing or removing the unit. When removing the
electrical wall plate, it may fall across plug pins or become displaced.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this product has a grounding type plug
that has a third (grounding) pin. This plug will only fit into a grounding
type power outlet. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, contact a
qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in
any way.

Operation and Specifications
6-ft temperature probe works from +32°F to +212°F (0°C to 100°C).
Temperature setpoint between 55°F and 95°F / 13°C to 35°C.
Low temperature limit 10°F below setpoint
The 120V output is variable. Max 750 Watts, 6.2 Amps.
User may select the minimum fan speed (Idle Speed) between 25% and
60% of full power.
2 seconds «KickStart» at startup. (100% power to improve or ensure fan
startup).

INSTALLATION
Note: Designed for single phase 12 VAC induction motor fans up to 75
Watts.
Plug into 120 VAC outlet (see security notice on page 1).
Place the sensor at desired location.
Connect the fan into the front panel outlet (MAX 75 W, 6.2A).
Note: For multiple fan application, use a power bar.
Installation is now complete

1 – Before you start

***IMPORTANT: READ AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE
STARTING THE TEST.
• D N T C NNECT THE UNIT BEF RE STEP 1 F THE TEST.
• C NNECT A FAN IN THE FR NT UNIT UTPUT.
• LIGHTING C NDITI N: perform this test in a room with enough light for
the controller to detect a DAY condition.
• TEMPERATURE: perform this test in a room where ambient
temperature is between 65°F and 85°F (18°C and 30°C).
• Definitions : CW : Clockwise.
CCW : Counter clockwise.

• Plug the unit into the power outlet.
• Turn UPPER and L WER knob fully
CCW (55°F).
The fan will turn N.
2 • Turn L WER knob to 95°F. The fan stays N.
3 • Turn UPPER knob fully CW (95°F). The fan will turn FF.

• Turn L WER knob fully CCW
(55°F).
• Cover the Light Sensor completely
with hand palm or black electrical
tape (a single finger will N T cover
the sensor appropriately).
The fan will turn N
after 6-8 seconds.

• Maintain the light sensor covered
while turning the L WER knob
fully CW (95°F).
The fan will turn FF.

• Uncover the light sensor and wait
for 6-8 seconds. Then, rotate the
UPPER knob very slowly CCW until
the fan turns N.
The fan will turn N
when the knob pointer
(line) indicates a
temperature level
similar to the ambient
room temperature (e.g.
if the knob line indicates
75° when the fan turns
N, the ambient
temperature should be
around 77°F).

• Warm up temp probe in your
hands.
The fan will speed up to
full power.

• Turn UPPER knob fully CW (Set Idle
Speed)
• In the blue section, turn L WER
knob from top to bottom.
The fan speed will slow
down.

• Turn L WER knob fully CCW
(55°F). The fan will turn FF.

• Slowly turn the lower knob CW
towards the blue zone until the fan
turns on.
The fan will turn N at
full speed for 3 seconds
(kickstart) then the fan
speed will slow down.

indicated in the user guide, what should I do?
• Please refer to the troubleshooting steps. Follow these instructions
carefully, step by step. The controller should work as described in the
“Expected results” column of the Complete Troubleshooting Guide.

2. I’ve been through the troubleshooting steps. What do I do if I meet a
problem at any of these steps? Is my product covered by the
WARRANTY?
• Grozone controllers are covered by a 3-year warranty (*). We will
replace any DAMAGED PR DUCT WITH A BRAND NEW PR DUCT.
• Covered or not covered? We do not authorize the replacement of fully
working products nor altered (tampered) products. The
Troubleshooting steps will help you identify a damaged product. Do
not hesitate to contact us or contact your retailer to make sure the
controller is not fully working or damaged before returning it to the
store.
• My product is not fully working or damaged, I want a replacement
unit: in order to get a replacement product, you MUST return all
modules and applicable accessories to the retailer. To avoid being
charged for the accessories, be sure to include all pieces. Thanks for
your cooperation.
• Any Grozone Control product that is returned with obvious signs of
user neglect will not be covered by the warranty. Grozone Control
exercises the right to make final decisions in these matters.
(*)The warranty period begins from the date of purchase at the retail
level. The retailer/consumer must keep their proof of sale/purchase.

Pour réduire le risque de chocs électriques, coupez le courant de la prise
de courant avant d'installer ou d'enlever l'unité. En enlevant la vis
retenant le couvercle de la prise 120V, celui-ci peut tomber sur les fiches
et les court-circuiter, ou encore la prise pourrait se déplacer.
Pour réduire le risque de chocs électriques, ce produit possède une fiche
dont la troisième broche sert à la mise à la terre. Cette fiche ne se
connecte uniquement que dans les prises possédant une mise à la terre. Si
votre prise ne possède pas cette mise à la terre, contactez un électricien
qualifié pour l'installation d'une prise appropriée. Ne modifiez pas la fiche
du produit.

Fonctionnement et caractéristiques
Sonde de température de 6-ft pouvant travailler de 0°C à +100°C (+32°F à
212°F)
Consigne de température entre 55°F et 95°F / 13°C à 35°C.
Limite de basse température 10°F inférieur à la consigne.
La sortie 120V est variable. Max 750 Watts, 6.2A.
L’usager peut déterminer la vitesse minimum du ventilateur (Idle Speed)
entre 25% et 60% de la puissance maximale.
«KickStart» au démarrage pendant 2 sec. (100% de la puissance pour
favoriser le démarrage de la rotation du ventilateur).

INSTALLATION
Note: Conçu pour ventilateurs à moteur à induction monophasé 12 VAC
de 75 Watts maximum.
Détecteur de luminosité
(photocellule)
Branchez dans une prise 120VAC (voir la notice de sécurité à la page 1).
Placez la sonde de température à l’endroit désiré.
Branchez votre ventilateur dans la prise du contrôleur (MAX 75 W, 6.2A).
Note : Utilisez une barre multiprise si vous devez brancher plus d’un
ventilateur.

Tournez le bouton du haut
dans la zone «Set Idle».
Ajustez la vitesse
minimale ( entre 25%
et 60% de la puissance
maximale).
Ajustement de la TEMPÉRATURE
Ajustez la température de jour
( Ne pas laisser le bouton dans
la zone «Set Idle»).
Ajustez la température de
nuit.

1 – La préparation avant test
***IMPORTANT : LIRE ET APPLIQUER LES ÉTAPES DE PRÉPARATION
SUIVANTES AVANT DE COMMENCER LE TEST.
• NE PAS BRANCHER LE C NTRÔLEUR AVANT L’ÉTAPE 1 DU TEST.
• BRANCHER UN VENTILATEUR DANS LA PRISE DU C NTRÔLEUR.
• ÉCLAIRAGE : vous devez effectuer ce test dans un endroit suffisamment
éclairé, correspondant à une période de J UR.
• TEMPÉRATURE : vous devez effectuer ce test dans un endroit où la
température se situe entre 18°C et 28°C (65°F à 8 °F).
• Définitions : S.A.M., sens des aiguilles d’une montre.
S.C.A.M., sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre.
2 – Test

• Branchez le module dans une prise
de courant.
• Tournez les boutons du haut et du
bas complètement dans le S.C.A.M
(55°F).
Le ventilateur
s’allume.
2 • Tournez le bouton du bas à 95°F. Le ventilateur reste
allumé.

• Tournez le bouton du haut dans le
S.A.M (95°F). Le ventilateur ferme.

• Tournez le bouton du bas dans
le S.C.A.M (55°F).
• Masquez le détecteur jour/nuit
(Light Sensor) complètement,
avec la paume de votre main ou
du tape électrique noir (utiliser
un doigt uniquement ne pourra
couvrir la surface suffisamment).
Le ventilateur s’allume
après 6 à 8 secondes.

• Tout en maintenant le détecteur
jour/nuit (Light Sensor) masqué,
tournez le bouton du bas
complètement dans le S.A.M
(95°F).
Le ventilateur s’éteint.

• Démasquez le détecteur Jour/
nuit et attendez 6 à 8 secondes.
En suite, tournez lentement le
bouton du haut dans le S.A.M
jusqu’à ce que le ventilateur
s’allume.
Le ventilateur s’allume
lorsque le bouton indique
une température se
rapprochant de la
température ambiante
(ex. si le bouton indique
75°F au moment où le
ventilateur s’allume, alors
il fait approximativement
77°F dans la pièce.

• Réchauffez la sonde de
température dans vos mains.
Le ventilateur accélère et
tourne à pleine puissance.
