1. General
The LON module is an expansion module for circulator pumps GRUNDFOS
MAGNA Series 2000.
The LON module offers the possibility of connecting the pump to a LonWorks
network. The module is used for data transmission between a network and
pumps of the type GRUNDFOS MAGNA Series 2000.
For further information, see the documentation files on the floppy disk sup-
plied with the LON module.
2. Connection to network
Pumps fitted with a LON module are registered by the LonWorks network in
one of the following ways:
• Activate the “Service PIN” button on the module. Then the module trans-
mits a unique 48 bit ID-code (Neuron ID), which is registered by the net-
work.
• The bar code on the module or the additional label supplied is scanned
and registered by the network. The bar code is in Code 39 format. The ad-
ditional label can be attached to the building installation plan.
Before removing the terminal box module, these fitting instructions
should be studied carefully. The installation and operation should
also be in accordance with local regulations and accepted codes of
good practice.

3. Fitting the module
1. Switch off the electricity supply by means of the external mains switch.
2. Open the terminal box cover and remove the label “MODULE”.

4. Connect the cables.
Cable specifications are stated in section 5. Technical data.
A wiring diagram can be found on page 49.
• Wires connected to
- outputs NC, NO, C,
- inputs Start/stop, A, B and
- supply terminals
must be separated from each other and from the supply by re-
inforced insulation.
• All wires connected to a terminal block must be tied up at the
terminals.

4. Indicator light
The LON module incorporates a yellow indicator light which is a service LED
indicating various conditions of the LON network.

plied with the LON module.

1. Allgemeines
Das LON-Modul ist ein Ausbaumodul für die Pumpen GRUNDFOS MAGNA
Serie 2000.
Das LON-Modul ermöglicht den Anschluß der Pumpe an ein LonWorks-Netz-
werk. Das Modul wird zur Datenübertragung zwischen einem Netzwerk und
Pumpen der Typen GRUNDFOS MAGNA Serie 2000 eingesetzt.
Weitere Informationen entnehmen Sie der mit dem Modul gelieferten Dis-
kette.
2. Anschluß ans Netzwerk
Pumpen mit LON-Modul werden wie folgt von einem LonWorks-Netzwerk re-
gistriert:
• Wenn die Taste “Service PIN” des Moduls gedrückt wird, sendet das Mo-
dul einen bestimmten 48-Bit-ID-Code (Neuron ID), der vom Netzwerk regi-
striert wird.
• Der Strichcode auf dem Modul oder dem zusätzlichen Aufkleber wird ge-
scannt und dadurch vom Netzwerk registriert. Der Strichcode hat das For-
mat Code 39. Der zusätzliche Aufkleber kann z.B. auf den Gebäude-
installationsplan aufgeklebt werden.
Diese Montageanleitung enthält grundlegende Hinweise, die
bei der Auswechselung des Klemmenkastenmoduls zu beach-
ten sind. Sie ist daher unbedingt vor Montage und Inbetrieb-
nahme vom Monteur zu lesen. Weiterhin sind die bestehenden
nationalen Vorschriften zu beachten.

3. Vorgehensweise zur Montage des Moduls
1. Versorgungsspannung mit dem externen Netzschalter abschalten.
2. Klemmenkasten öffnen und den Aufkleber “MODULE” entfernen.

4. Kabelverbindungen herstellen.

Ein Schaltbild ist auf Seite 49 gezeigt.
•Die Kabel, die an
- die Ausgänge NC, NO, C,
- die Eingänge EIN/AUS, A, B und
- die Versorgungsklemmen
angeschlossen werden sollen, sind durch eine verstärkte
Isolierung voneinander und von der Netzspannung galva-
nisch zu trennen.
•Alle zu einer Klemmenleiste gehörenden Leiter müssen an
den Klemmen zusammengebunden werden.
5. Versorgungsspannung einschalten.
