INSTALLATION AND SAFETY _____________________________
In order that you may be entertained by this high-quality satellite receiver for a
long time to come, observe the following points when installing the satellite
receiver.
This satellite receiver is intended for the reception of image and sound signals.
Any other type of use is explicitly forbidden.
If the satellite receiver is exposed to temperature deviations, for example when
transporting from the cold into the warm, connect it to the mains and leave it for
at least two hours.
Do not expose the satellite receiver to any moisture.
The satellite receiver is designated for operation in dry rooms. Should you
nevertheless operate it outside, make absolutely sure that it is protected against
dampness (rain, water sprinklers).
Do not place vessels filled with fluid (vases or similar things) on the satellite
receiver. The vessel can tip over and the fluid can duly affect the electrical safety.
Do not place the satellite TV receiver in the immediate surroundings of the hea-
ting or in the blazing sunshine, as this could cause damage.
Place the satellite receiver on a level and hard surface. Do not place objects (for
example newspapers) on the satellite receiver or place mats under the satellite
receiver.
Minimum clearances (approx. 10 cm) must be kept when operating the satellite
receiver in a wall unit!
Storms represent a danger for every type of electrical device. Even if the satellite
receiver is switched off, it could be damaged by a lightning strike hitting the
mains and/or the aerial lead. Always disconnect the mains plug and aerial plug
when storms are apparent.
Do not open the satellite receiver under any circumstance. The manufacturer will
offer no guarantee for damage resulting from unqualified tampering.
