Caring for the Environment
Responsible disposal of the packaging
The packaging of your appliance has been selected from environmentally friendly
materials and can usually be recycled. Please ensure these are disposed of correctly.
Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, please
ensure all packaging materials are out of reach and are safely disposed of. Please
ensure they are offered for recycling rather than throwing these materials away.
Responsible disposal of the appliance
At the end of its working life, do not throw this appliance out with your household
rubbish. An environmentally friendly method of disposal will ensure that valuable
raw materials can be recovered and used again. Electrical and electronic appliances
contain materials and substances which, if handled or disposed of incorrectly, could be
potentially hazardous on the environment and human health.
Observe any local regulations regarding the disposal of electrical consumer goods and
dispose of it appropriately for recycling.
The plug must be rendered useless and the cable cut off directly behind the appliance or
the machine to prevent misuse.

product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of re, electric shock and
injury when correctly adhered to.

purchase receipt and carton. If applicable, pass these instructions on to the next owner of
the appliance.
Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention measures when using an
electrical appliance, including the following:
Electrical safety and cord handling
• Make sure your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the voltage stated
on the appliance rating label and your outlet socket is earthed.
• To protect against re and electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or the
appliance itself in water or other liquid, or expose the electrical connections to water.
Never operate this product with wet hands or spill liquids into the product. Do not
expose it to rain or use it in damp conditions.
• This fan is not designed to run off an extension cord. If you require an additional
power point, please have one installed by a qualied electrician. The use of
extension cords may cause power voltage loss which will result in damage to the
motor. This is not covered under warranty.
• The power supply cord should be run in such a way that there will be no risk of
anyone pulling it inadvertently or tripping over it.
• Do not kink, bend, squash, strain or damage the power cord and protect it from
sharp edges, heat, oil and solvents.
• Never carry the fan by its cord.
• Do not pick up or operate the fan if the power supply cord, plug or housing is
damaged, or after it malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. In such a
case, unplug the appliance and contact the after sales support line for advice on
repair or replacement.
• Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage and if the power cord
becomes damaged, contact the after sales support line for advice on repair or
replacement.
• Unplug the appliance from the power outlet when it is not in use and before cleaning,
servicing, moving or storing the appliance.
• To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position and unplug the cord from the wall
outlet. When unplugging, grip the plug, do not pull the cord.

Usage conditions and restrictions
• This appliance is intended for indoor household use only. It is not suitable for
commercial, industrial or outdoor use.
• Do not use the fan for anything other than its intended purpose, and only use it as
described in this manual.
• Do not attach this fan to the wall or ceiling.
• Place the fan on a at, stable surface when operating to avoid overturning.
• Improper installation may result in the risk of re, electric shock and/or injury to
persons.
• We accept no liability for damage due to improper use or incorrect handling.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by
a person responsible for their safety.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Do not use this fan as a dryer.
• Do not use the fan in damp areas, or in areas high in humidity (such as a bathroom),
without suitable ventilation. Do not place it within 3 metres of a water source.
• Do not use the fan in areas where paint, petrol etc. is stored and there is a risk of
explosion or re from ammable gases.
• Ensure the cooling area is kept clear of combustible materials.
• Never use the fan if any part of it is damaged.
• Always ensure that the fan is kept clean and free from dust.
• The fan has no user-serviceable parts contained within. Do not attempt to repair,
disassemble or modify the fan, power cord or power plug in any way.
• Do not insert foreign objects into the safety grille to avoid damaging the fan or
getting hurt.
• During assembly, secure the fan guard with the screw provided.
• Do not place the fan or any parts near an open ame, cooking or other heating
appliances.

WARNING! When the fan is in operation:
• Do not cover it.
• Do not operate it without the blade cover tted.
• Do not touch any part of the fan.
• Do not put ngers or any object in the safety grille.
• Do not change the tilt direction (switch it off rst).
• Ensure that the power cord is fully extended and not in contact with any part of the
fan.
• Do not leave the fan unattended.
When the fan is not being used, make sure to store it in a secure cabinet or room, out of
reach of children.

Assembly Instructions
• Unpack the appliance but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure
your new fan is undamaged and in good working order. Plastic wrapping can be a
suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so ensure all packaging materials
are out of their reach.
• Unwind the cord to its full length and inspect it for damage. Do not use the appliance
if the appliance or its cord have been damaged or are not working properly. In case
of damage, contact our after sales support line for advice on examination, repair or
return of the damaged product.
• Place the fan body onto the base stand and fasten all screws.
• Fit the rear fan grille onto the motor pane: align the 3 holes on the motor with the 3
holes on the rear grille, then insert the 3 screws through the holes and tighten them
rmly.
• Attach the blade onto the motor spindle and carefully tighten the screws.
• Fit the front grille onto the rear grille. Tighten the locking clips to secure the grilles in
place.

Stand assembly
1 Assemble the 2 base pieces as a cross. Place the standard onto the base and fasten with the
included 4 philips-head screws (screwdriver not included)
2 Remove the highest adjust screw, pull out the extension tube and make sure that it does not fall
back in. Push the protective cap al the way down over the stand so it falls over the 2 base pieces.
Replace the adjust screw.
3 Place the fan on the extension tube and fasten with the screw.
Instructions for grill assembly
1 Place the back side of the ventilation grille on the motor
spindle. Make sure the security bolt and nut are at the
bottom. Fasten it with the fixing nut.
2 Place the propeller as close as possible to the motor
spindle and fasten it with the fixing nut.
3 Place the front of the grille on the rear. Check that both
grilles properly placed before you close the clamps.
4 Secure the grill by fastening the security bolt and nut.

Foot assembly
1 Place fan on the foot and make sure the electrical cord is lead properly from the article.
2 Hold the article up side down and fasten the 7/8 philips screws
Instructions for assembly
1 Place the back side of the ventilation grille on the motor spindle. Make sure the security bolt and
nut are at the bottom. Fasten it with the fixing nut.
2 Place the propeller as close as possible to the motor spindle and fasten it with the fixing nut.
3 Place the front of the grille on the rear. Check that both grilles properly placed before you close
the clamps.
4 Secure the grill by fastening the security bolt and nut.

Operation Instructions
Operating the fan
Place the fan on a stable surface (desk, table, buffet, benchtop, oor).
Plug the power cord into an appropriate 220-240V AC wall socket and switch on power
outlet.
Speed selection
The fan has 3 speed settings:
• 0 - OFF
• 1 - Low speed
• 2 - Medium speed
• 3 - High speed

Care and Maintenance
Care and cleaning
• Before cleaning the fan, make sure it is switched off and unplugged from the power
supply. Do not attempt to take the unit apart. It is not designed to be dismantled
without special tools.
• Press the 0 button and unplug the Desk Fan from the power outlet.
• To remove dust, wipe the fan over with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth or duster.
• If you want to clean the fan blade, disassemble the fan and use a mild dishwashing
solution on a clean, damp cloth and gently wipe clean the blade.
• Do not immerse the Fan in water and never allow water to enter the motor housing.
• Do not use harsh chemicals to clean the fan.
• Do not use this appliance with a programmer, separate remote control system or any
other device that switches the appliance on automatically.
• When you have nished using the fan at the end of the season, wipe off any dust to
maintain it in good working order for the next season. Clean and store the fan in its
original box in a safe, dry location, protected from dust.
• The fan requires little maintenance and contains no user-serviceable parts inside. Do
not attempt to take it apart, repair or modify it. Do not operate the fan if its power
cord or plug is damaged, or when it is working abnormally. In case of damage or
malfunction, or if the cord is damaged, have the unit repaired by trained personnel
only, or contact the after sales support line for advice on repair or replacement.
Proof of purchase
To receive warranty retain receipt as proof of purchase.
