Caring for the Environment
Responsible disposal of the packaging
The packaging of your appliance has been selected from environmentally friendly
materials and can usually be recycled. Please ensure these are disposed of correctly.
Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, please
ensure all packaging materials are out of reach and are safely disposed of. Please
ensure they are offered for recycling rather than throwing these materials away.
Responsible disposal of the appliance
At the end of its working life, do not throw this appliance out with your household
rubbish An environmentally friendly method of disposal will ensure that valuable raw
materials can be recovered and used again. Electrical and electronic appliances
contain materials and substances which, if handled or disposed of incorrectly, could be
potentially hazardous on the environment and human health.
Observe any local regulations regarding the disposal of electrical consumer goods and
dispose of it approptiately for recycling.
The plug must be rendered useless and the cable cur off directly behind the appliance or
the machine to prevent misuse.

Read this manual thoroughly before rst use, even if you are familiar with this type of
product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of re, electric shock
and injury when correctly adhered to. Keep the manual in a safe place for future
reference, along with the warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. If applicable,
pass these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance. Always follow basic safety
precautions and accident prevention measures when using an electrical appliance,
including the following:
Electrical safety and cord handling
• Voltage: Make sure your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the
voltage stated on the appliance rating label.
• Water: To protect against re and electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or the
fan itself in water or other liquid, or expose the electrical connections to water. Ensure
your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance. Do not
use the fan outdoors or on wet surfaces. Protect it from liquid spills.
• Damage: Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its authorised service centres or
appropriately qualied personnel in order to avoid any hazards.
• WARNING! Do not pick up or operate the appliance if the power supply cord,
plug or housing is damaged, or after it malfunctions or has been dropped or
damaged in any manner. In case of damage, contact our after sales support line for
advice.
• Protect the power cord:
• Do not operate the fan with the power cord coiled up; always fully unwind.
• Do not twist or kink the cord or let it touch heated surfaces.
• Do not put any stress on the cord where it connects to the product.
• Never carry the fan by the cord.
• Arrange the cord away from any trafc area so no one will trip over it.
• Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover it with rugs or runners.
• WARNING! No extension cord, no timer: Do not use this fan with an extension
cord, plug adaptor, external timer or separate speed control device.
• Connection: To insert the plug, grasp it rmly and guide it into outlet.
• Disconnection: Unplug the appliance from the power outlet when it is not in use and
before cleaning, servicing, moving or storing the appliance. Grasp the plug and
remove it from the outlet, do not pull the cord when disconnecting.

• RCD: Unless your home is already tted with a residual current device (safety
switch), we recommend installing an RCD with a rated residual operating current
not exceeding 30mA to provide additional safety protection when using electrical
appliances. See your electrician for professional advice.
Usage conditions and restrictions
• Domestic use only: This appliance is intended for indoor household use only. It is not
suitable for commercial, industrial or outdoor use. Do not use it for anything other
than its intended purpose, and only use it as described in this manual. Any other use
may cause re, electric shock or injury.
• Not a dryer: Do not use this fan as a dryer.
• Attachments: The use of accessory attachments not recommended in this manual may
cause hazards.
• Liability: We assume no liability for any damages or personal injury caused by
misuse of the product and/or failure to follow these instructions.
• Usage restriction: This fan is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children: This fan is not a toy. Supervise young children to ensure they do not play
with the fan. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children.
Safe usage
• Location: Place the fan on a dry, at, stable surface to avoid overturning.
• Keep the top clear: Do not place anything on top of fan.
• Assembly: Do not operate the fan until fully assembled with all parts.
• WARNING! DO NOT use the fan in the following areas:
* Near an open ame or near other sources of high heat.
* On a soft surface (such as carpet) or where it may tip over during use.
* Outdoors or in areas of high humidity (such as in a bathroom), without suitable
ventilation.
* In areas where paint, petrol, etc. is stored and there is a risk of explosion or re
from ammable gases.
* In a window.

• CAUTION! Avoid contact with moving parts. Never insert ngers, pencils or any
other objects through the grilles when fan is running. Keep hair and loose clothing
well away from the fan when it is in use.
• Free airow: Make sure nothing is blocking the airow outlet and air intake grilles.

• Connect the fan blade on to the fan
motor, with the rear grille in between.
Fasten the fan blade screw.
• Fix the front grille with the rear grille,
and tighten the xation screws.
• Connect the inner pole on to the fan
motor at the knob.
• Install the outer pole on to the base by
tightening the locking screw.

Operation Instructions
Operation
NOTE: Always choose a safe location for the appliance, keeping in mind the safety
precautions outlined. Ensure all packaging has been removed from the appliance before
use.
WARNING!
• Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front, sides and rear of the appliance.
• Do not cover the appliance.
• Do not leave the appliance operating unattended.
1. Place the fan on a dry, level and study surface.
2. Plug the power cord into the wall power socket.
3. Select your desired speed setting, 1 for low speed, 2 for medium speed and 3 for
high speed.
4. To turn off the Pedestal Fan, turn the speed control to the 0 position.

Care and Maintenance
Care and cleaning
CAUTION! To avoid of electric shock, you MUST ALWAYS switch off and unplug the Fan
before cleaning.
• Turn the speed control to the 0 position and unplug the Metal Pedestal Fan from the
power outlet.
• Use only a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the Fan and dry well.
• Do not immerse the Fan in water and never allow water to enter the motor housing.
• To clean the blades, disassemble the grilles rst. Remove the front grille from the rear
grille by untighten the screws.
• To remove the blades, pull from the motor spindle after remove the screws on the fan
and motor shaft.
• Do not use harsh chemicals to clean the fan.
• Do not use this appliance with a programmer, timer, separate remote control system
or any other device that switches the appliance on automatically.
• When you have nished using the fan at the end of the season, wipe off any dust to
maintain it in good working order for the next season. Disassemble the front grille
and remove the fan blade. Clean and store the fan in its original box in a safe, dry
location, protected from dust.
• The appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user-serviceable parts
inside. Do not attempt to take it apart, repair or modify it. Do not operate the fan
if its power cord or plug is damaged, or when it is working abnormally. In case
of damage or malfunction, or if the cord is damaged, have the unit repaired by
trained personnel only, or contact the after sales support line for advice on repair or
replacement.
Proof of purchase
To receive warranty retain receipt as proof of purchase.
