bya qualified gas rangeinstallerorservice technician.
Donot attempt to repairorreplaceany part ofyour
rangeunless it is specificallyrecommendedinthis
manual.
• Yourrange is shipped fromthefactoryset for usewith
naturalgas. It can beconvertedforuse with propane
gas.If required, these adjustmentsmustbemade by a
qualifiedtechnician in accordance withtheinstallation
instructionsand local codes. Theagencyperforming
thiswork assumes responsibility fortheconversion.
• Havethe installer show youthelocationof the range
gasshut-off valve and howtoturnit off ifnecessary.
• Plugyour range into a120-voltgroundedoutlet only.
Donot remove the roundgroundingprongfrom the
plug.If in doubt aboutthegroundingof the home
electricalsystem, it is yourresponsibilityandobligation
tohave an ungrounded outletreplacedwitha properly
grounded,three prong outlet inaccordancewiththe
NationalElectrical Code. Do notuseanextension cord
withthis appliance.
• Beforeperforming any service, unplugtherange
ordisconnect the power supplyatthehousehold
distributionpanel by removing thefuseorswitching off
thecircuit breaker.
• Besure all packing materialsareremovedfrom the
rangebefore operating to preventignitionofthese
materials.
• Avoidscratching or impacting glassdoors,cooktops,or
controlpanels. Doing so mayleadtoglass breakage. Do
notcook on a productwithbrokenglass. Shock, fire,or
cutsmay occur.
• Donot leave children aloneorunattendedin an
areawhere an appliance isinuse.They should never
beallowed to climb, sitorstandon any partofthe
appliance.
• CAUTION
Do notstoreitemsofinterest to
childrenin cabinetsaboveanoven- childrenclimbingon
theoven toreachitemscouldbe seriouslyinjured.
• Neverblock the vents (airopenings)ofthe range. They
providethe air inlets andoutletsthatare necessary for
therange to operate properlywithcorrectcombustion.
Airopenings are located attherearof the cooktop,at
thetop and bottom oftheovendoor, and atthebottom
ofthe range under thewarmingdrawer,lower oven
draweror kick panel.
• Useonly dry pot holders—moistordamppot holders
onhot surfaces may resultinburnsfrom steam. Donot
letpot holders touch surfaceburners,burnergrate, or
ovenheating element. Do notuseatowel or otherbulky
clothin place of potholders.
• Donot touch the heatingelementsorthe interior
surfaceof the oven. Thesesurfacesmaybe hot
enoughto burn even thoughtheyaredark in color.
Duringand after use, donottouch,or let clothingor
otherflammable materials contact anyinteriorareaof
theoven; allow sufficient timeforcoolingfirst. Other
surfacesof the appliance maybecomehotenough
tocause burns. Potentially hotsurfacesincludethe
burners,grates, oven vent opening,surfacesnearthe
opening,and crevices around theovendoor.
• Donot heat unopened foodcontainers.Pressurecould
buildup and the containercouldburst,causing an injury.
• Cookfood thoroughly to helpprotectagainst
foodborneillness. Minimum safe foodtemperature
recommendationscan be foundatIsItDoneYet.govand
fsis.usda.gov.Use a food thermometertotakefood
temperaturesand check several locations.
