 INTRODUCTION 

 INTRODUCTION 
Developed in collaboration with HAY, Stefan Diez’s
New Order Media Unit is part of a modular shelving
and table system designed to fit the ever-changing
boundaries of contemporary workspace and living
environments. The simple open-grid construction
serves as a flexible and functional framework, enabling
the user to create customized open or closed storage
solutions.

CAUTION
With a little care you can prolong the life
of your furniture. Follow the instructions for
the materials of your specific product to
make sure that it stays in the best shape
for as long as possible.
The information below is only intended as
a general guideline. For more information
on how to remove specific stains, please
inquire where you bought the furniture.
/Always remove stains quickly before
they can do any permanent damage to
the furniture.
/When you move the media unit, make
sure you lift it rather than pulling or
pushing it to avoid damaging the floor,
legs and mountings.
/Tighten up the screws after one to two
months’ use and whenever required.
/Avoid improper use such as putting
your feet on media unit or standing
on it.
/Always use coasters under damp, hot
or colored objects to avoid permanent
stains.
/Be careful not to scratch or damage
the surface with sharp objects.
POWDER COATED ALUMINUM
/Wipe with a clean cloth wrung in water
or in a solution of water and a neutral
detergent. Remove soap residue
immediately using a clean, dry cloth.
/Avoid using scouring cream or
scouring pads, as they may scratch
the surface.

/Wipe with a clean cloth wrung in water
or in a solution of water and a neutral

/Do not use solvents as they may have
an adverse effect on the coating.
/Never use acetic acid or citric acid.
WARNING
The maximum allowed TV weight to put on
this product is 100 lbs.
Do not install doors over the upper open-
ings.
Install the provided safety bracket before
using the product.

Before starting assembly, use a spirit level to ensure the bottom shelves

C are level.
Adjust the feet if the bottom shelves need levelling by unscrewing the adjustable feet,
either by hand or with the Allen key


Mount the profiles  Eand  F on to the bottom shelves  C .
AVOID GAPS
Make sure that the profiles
are pressed firmly against
the shelf, leaving no gaps.
ALIGNMENT
Make sure that the fixed
screws are aligned with
the channel running
along the shelf.
DOUBLE PROFILES
Mount the Double Profiles
in the middle to connect
the two Bottom Shelves.

Add the middle shelves

B . Then tighten all fixed screws in both ends of the profiles
with the Allen key

G . to secure the construction.
Then add the next layer of profiles.
TIGHTEN ALL FIXED SCREWS
Secure the construction by
tightening all fixed screws in
the first layer of profiles.

Add the top shelves

A . Then tighten all fixed screws in both
the top and bottom of the profiles.
TIGHTEN ALL FIXED SCREWS
Secure the construction by
tightening all fixed screws in the
second layer of profiles.

Make sure all fixed screws are tightened.

Locate the shelves that will require cable routing and the safety brackets.
Place the bracket holder

Ain the channel running along the shelf approximately 3
inches from the profile. Flip it down by following the steps 1, 2 and 3 below.

Screw the bracket

Binto place using the screws

Cand Torx key  D . Do not tight-
en the screws completely. While the brackets are held in place, use a pencil to mark
the center of the holes on the wall. Slide the bracket to the side and drill holes in the
wall. Fasten the bracket with screws, select the proper screws for the wall type.

Undo the screws

C and install the back panels first (page 23 to 28), before tightening
the screws

