ceduresper Section 3 of the Operator’s Manual.

1-4. ERROR CODES Intheeventofacontrolsystem failure, thedigitaldisplayshowsan
errormessage. Thesemessages arecoded: “E04”, “E05”,“E06”,
“E32”,“E41” and“E71”. Aconstanttone is heard when an error
codeis displayed,and tosilence this tone, press any of the product
buttons.

variousparts of thefryer. Before replacingany parts,refer to the
Troubleshootingsectiontoaidyouinfindingthecauseofthe
malfunction.
2-2. MAINTENANCE HINTS 1. Amultimeterwillhelpyoutochecktheelectriccomponents.
2. When themanualreferstothe circuit beingclosed,the
multimetershouldreadzerounlessotherwisenoted.
3. When themanualreferstothe circuitbeingopen,the
multimetershouldreadinfinity.
Donot move thefryerwith hot shorteninginthe frypot or
filterpan. Severe burns can resultfromsplashing hot
shortening.
4. Remove weightsfromtheframe to easilyaccessrearof fryer.
2-3. PREVENTIVE Toensurealonglifeofthefryersand their components,regular
MAINTENANCE maintenanceshouldbe performed. Refertothe chartbelow.

2-4. HIGHTEMPERATURE
LIMIT CONTROL Thishightemperaturecontrolisasafety,manualresetcontrol,
whichsensesthetemperatureoftheshortening. Ifthe shortening
temperatureexceeds 425°F(218°C), thisswitch opens
andshuts off the heat tothe frypot. Whenthe temperatureof
theshorteningdropstoasafeoperation limit, manuallyresetby
pressingthe redreset button. The red reset button is locatedunder
thecontrol panel, inthe frontof thefryer. Once reset,the frypot
startsheating.
Beforereplacingahightemperaturelimitcontrol, check tosee
thatitscircuitisclosed.
Checkout Theshorteningtemperaturemust bebelow380°F
(193°C)to accurately performthis check.
1. Remove electricalpowersuppliedtothe fryer.
Toavoidelectricalshockorpropertydamage, move the
PowerswitchtoOFFanddisconnectmaincircuit
breaker,orunplug cordatwall receptacle.
2. Remove thecontrolpanel.
3. Removethetwonutssecuringthehighlimitbrackettotheunit,
andpullthebracketfrom the unit.
4. Remove thetwoscrewssecuringthe high limittothebracket,
andremovethehighlimitfromthebracket.
5. Removethetwoelectricalwiresfromthehightemperature
limitcontrol.
6. Manuallyresetthecontrol,thencheckforcontinuity
betweenthetwoterminals after resettingthecontrol. If
thecircuitisopen,replacethe control, thencontinuewith
thisprocedure.(Ifthecircuitisclosed,thehighlimitis
notdefective. Reconnectthe two electricalwires.)

Replacement To avoid electrical shock orpropertydamage, move the
POWERswitchtoOFFanddisconnectmaincircuit
breaker,orunplug cordatwall receptacle.
1. If thetube isbroken orcracked, thecontrol willopen,
shuttingoffelectricalpower. The control cannotbereset.
2. Drainshorteningfromthe frypot anddiscard. Asubstance
inthetubecouldcontaminatetheshortening.
3. Removecontrolpanel.
4. Loosensmallinsidescrewnutoncapillarytube.
5. Removecapillarybulbfrombulbholderinsidethefrypot.
6. Straightenthecapillarytube.
7. Remove largeroutsidenutthat threadsintopotwall, and remove
defectivecontrolfromcontrolpanelarea.
8. Insert newcontrol and replace screws.
9. Uncoilcapillaryline,startingatcapillarytube,andinsert
throughfrypotwall.
Toavoidelectrical shockorotherinjury,runthe capillary
lineunderandaway fromall electricalpower wiresand
terminals. Thetube must never beinsuchaposition where
itcould accidentallytouch theelectricalpower terminals.
10. Carefullybendthe capillarytubeasshown inphotoandplace
intobulbbrackets.
