Pairing Your NEXEO | HDX All-in-One Headset to the NEXEO Base Station
The NEXEO | HDX™Platform changes the way you interact with your crew, the headset, and your customers.
More than just a headset, the NEXEO | HDX™Platform enables group conversation, provides an interactive
Base Station display, and delivers the latest generation of HDX audio. A new NEXEO headset must rst be paired
with the NEXEO Base Station.
1. Insert a new fully charged battery in your headset before starting the pairing process.
2. Turn on your headset by pressing the blue button.
3. Locate the Pairing Area on your All-in-One headset between the volume up and down buttons in the
center of the touch panel.
4. The Pairing Ring on your Base Station is located in the bottom right corner.
Note: When idle, the sensor ring illuminates with a solid blue ring.

5. Bring the headset Pairing Area to the Pairing Ring. The NEXEO Base Station uses near eld technology to sense your
headset’s presence. The NEXEO Base Station uses near eld technology to sense your headset’s presence.
6. The solid blue ring turns into a swirling green ring, indicating that pairing is in process.
7. Pairing is completed and successful when the swirling green ring turns solid blue.

Note: If the headset battery is below 5%, the headset will not pair. The Base Station
will alert you if the headset battery is running low.

9. If pairing fails, the ring will ash red.
10. Try again by holding the headset Pairing Area steadily, centered, and ush against the Pairing Ring.
Note: Headset movement and distance may cause pairing errors.
8. Once the headset is paired, ensure you hold the headset by the outer edge to avoid unintentionally tapping the interface.

Selecting Your Name on the NEXEO Base Station
Once your headset is paired, the Select Your Name to Pair screen will display. Employees are listed alphabetically by rst name.
1. Tap the rst letter of your name on the index or scroll until you nd your name.
2. Tap your name from the list. Your name will be highlighted in blue.
Note: If you can’t nd your name on the list, tap the Continue as guest button in the top left corner.

3. Once you select your name, a Pop-Up conrming your rst and last name will display.
4. Tap Yes, continue or No, go back.
5. If no employees are enrolled, tap No, Skip to continue.
6. To add a new user, tap Yes, Add New Crew Prole.
7. A PIN is required to create a new prole. Only Managers or assigned Users may enroll new team members.

1. Once your headset is paired, the Select Your Position screen displays.
2. Select the position your manager has assigned to you.
a. DRIVE-THRU 1 allows you to hear Drive-Thru communication for Lane 1.
b. DRIVE-THRU 2 allows you to hear Drive-Thru communication for Lane 2, if applicable.
c. CREW allows communication with everyone in the Crew Group and team members in the Drive-Thru Groups.
Selecting Your Position
Note: By default, Drive-Thru 1, and Crew positions display.
If your store has two lanes, Drive-Thru 2 will also display.
Note: Additional Positions can be added from a list of ten pre-selected options in the Additional Positions
settings, or by clicking the SYSTEM icon, then the SETTINGS and Additional Positions buttons.
A Manager’s 4 digit access code is required.
d. CREW allows communication with everyone in the Crew Group and team members in the Drive-Thru Groups.
Note: Additional Positions can be added from a list of ten pre-selected options in the Additional Positions
settings, or by clicking the SYSTEM icon, then the SETTINGS and Additional Positions buttons.
A Manager’s 4 digit access code is required.

4. The Success Pairing conrmation will display.
Note: If you select the Crew positions, the Success conrmation will
immediately display, and your headset will be ready to use.

3. After selecting your position tap the Next button.

1. Tap the checkbox to enable AUTO HANDS-FREE mode.
Auto Hands-Free Mode
If your restaurant uses the Auto Hands-Free mode, tap the checkbox to enable it. Auto Hands-Free mode eliminates
the need to press the lane button on the headset when a car arrives at the menu.
2. When a car arrives at the menu, the headset automatically activates the lane button, allowing the order taker
to keep their hands free to perform other activities.
3. Once the customer completes their order and drives away from the Menu, the headset automatically disconnects the lane
button until the next car arrives.
Note: Only one headset per lane and a maximum of two headsets per store can operate in Auto Hands-Free
mode, one headset for Lane 1 and another headset for Lane 2.

Telephone Interface
1. If a telephone interface is installed, tap Allow this headset to receive phone calls to answer calls using your
NEXEO headset.
Note: Only one crew member at a time can be assigned to receive phone calls.
3. Tap the Next button.

1. In the bottom left corner, the Paired Headset icon and the remaining battery percentage displays.
2. The Version of the headset and Serial Number also display.

4. The Success Pairing conrmation will display. Your headset is now ready to go!
