PRECAUTIONS
Operating
• Befo e using, check powe supply and video output connection.
• Powe supplied without voltage stabilization o the voltage maintained at 24V±10VAC o
12V±10VDC may cause damage.
• If any abno mal condition o malfunction is obse ved while ope ating the came a, stop using it
immediately and call you local deale .
Handling
• Do not disassemble the came a and neve touch pa ts inside the came a.
• To avoid possible damage, do not d op the came a o subject it to shocks o vib ations.
• When attaching o emoving the lens, handle with ca e so that moistu e and dust do not ente
the came a.
• Do not shoot any sou ce of b ight light. If the object contains ve y b ight a eas, b ight ve tical
o ho izontal lines may appea on the sc een. This is called “smea ,” a phenomenon which
often occu s with solid-state pickups and is not a malfunction.
Cleaning
• Tu n the powe off and wipe off the di t with a d y soft cloth. If the came a is ext emely di ty,
use fu nitu e cleaning tissue.
• Do not use alcohols, pet oleum distillates, liquid cleane s o sp ays.

Installation and storage
• Do not point the came a at the sun. This could damage the came a whethe it is ope ating o
not.
• Do not install the came a whe e the tempe atu e could exceed the allowable ange.
• Ambient tempe atu e should be less than 40°C fo long-te m continuous ope ation.
• Avoid installing in humid o dusty places.
• Avoid installing in places whe e the e is adiation. This could damage the CCD and othe
components and cause malfunction.
• Avoid installing in places whe e the e a e st ong magnetic fields o elect ical signals.
• Avoid installing in places whe e the came a would be subject to st ong vib ations.
• Neve expose the came a to ain o wate .
Daily Check
• Make daily checks fo p ope ope ation fo su veillance use. In o de to maintain no mal
ope ation, the output of the came a should be checked daily to ensu e a clea and focused
pictu e.
Field Installation
• This installation should be made by a qualified se vice pe son and should confo m to all local
codes.

Used when installing the lens. A C-mount lens can be used when C-mount adapte is attached.
CS-mount lens can be used when adapte is emoved.

Used to switch between DC and Video lenses.
2. Lens connector
When using an auto-i is lens, connect the
lens cable to this connecto .
3. Video output connector
BNC connecto that outputs a composite
video signal.
4. Power indicator

5. Setup buttons
Used when setting up and adjusting the
came a with the on-sc een menu.
6. Power input terminal
Use only 24VAC o 12VDC UL listed class 2
signal.
Power Connection
The powe connection will accept powe f om eithe
a 12 volt DC sou ce o a 24 volt AC sou ce.
The 12 volt DC connection is pola ity sensitive.
If connected inco ectly, the came a will not wo k.
The left te minal is fo the positive connection and
the cente te minal is the negative connection.
When using a 24 volt AC sou ce, the fi st and second
te minals a e used. Pola ity selection is not equi ed.
The thi d, o ight, te minal is fo a g ound connection.
This te minal is seldom used in typical installations.
It may be equi ed when the came a is installed in an
oxygen- ich envi onment o othe explosive
envi onments. These envi onments may be found in
medical o indust ial applications. Check local codes
if this issue is in question.

MENU OPERATION
• The menu system can activate all of the fea-
tu es and options of the came a.
• The menus a e supe imposed on the image
displayed on the sc een. The commands can
open othe menus, toggle options, o change
va iable pa amete s.
• The came a settings and adjustments can be
changed to accommodate usage conditions.
• When connected to a monito , convenient on-
sc een menus facilitate checking and changing
the settings and adjustments.
• A b ief help line is often p esented on the sc een
below the list of commands.
• The complete set of cu ent pa amete s is
saved and will be loaded each time the came a
is tu ned on until the next change in setup.

MAIN MENU
MAIN MENU
1. P ess the SET button to display the MAIN MENU on the
monito sc een.
2. Check the p esent settings at the MAIN MENU.
3. If no changes a e needed, move the cu so to the End
position and p ess the SET button to etu n the no mal
video sc een.
4. When a setting is changed, the new setting is sto ed
in the inte nal memo y when the cu so is at End and
SET is p essed. When powe is tu ned off then on again,
ope ation continues at the most ecent settings.
Note: In absence of button ope ation, the menu display is extinguished automatically
in about 60 seconds.

AGC
1. P ess the SET button to display the MAIN MENU.
2. Position the cu so at AGC and p ess the left o ight button
to setting the AGC max level.
3.AGC max level has 8 stages f om OFF to 32dB.
Right button (ascending sequence);
OFF → 6dB → 12dB → 16dB → 20dB → 24dB → 28dB → 32dB
Left button (descending sequence);
32dB → 28dB → 24dB → 20dB → 16dB → 12dB → 6dB → OFF
At the AGC level setting, came a’s sensitivity is automatically inc eased to a setting level when the level
of ambient light d ops.
In the gene al application, AGC max level is set to 32dB.

Electronic Shutter Control
1. P ess SET to display the MAIN MENU.
2. Position the cu so at Shutte , and p ess the left o ight button
to set the manual shutte .
AUTO Mode
When using the manual i is, the b ightness of the pictu e image will be fixed by setting the auto mode,
so the shutte speed is automatically va ied acco ding to the incident light.
Note: Outdoo illumination levels may exceed 150,000 lux, which is outside
the ange that can be cont olled by the elect onic shutte . Fo p ope
ope ation of elect onic shutte , if illumination levels exceed 10,000 lux,
use an auto-i is lens.

White Balance Control
1. P ess SET to display the MAIN MENU on the monito
sc een.
2. Position the cu so at WHITE BALANCE and p ess the left
o ight button to toggle th ough the white balance cont ol
mode. Th ee white balance cont ol modes can be selected
acco ding to conditions: ATW, AWC, and Manual.
ATW (Auto-Tracking White Balance)
The white balance mode is set to auto-t acking white balance (ATW). This mode accepts diffe ent
types of lighting using an automatic t acking system and automatically cont ols in the colo tempe a-
tu e ange of 2400K to 10000K.
Note : The ATW mode may not function p ope ly unde the following
conditions:
• When shooting with non-standa d lighting o lighting with a colo
tempe atu e that exceeds the ange of the came a.
• When a la ge pa t of the scene is occupied with a single colo o a
completely ed o blue backg ound.
In these situations, set White Balance to the MANUAL mode.

AWC (PRESET WHITE BALANCE)
With a white object p esent in the scene, p ess SET then position the cu so at White Balance and
set to AWC.
Setting the p eset white balance takes seve al seconds and the selection is complete when the
message "White Balance Completed" displays on the sc een. If the selection is not completed in
app oximately 5 seconds, p ess the SET button again.
MANUAL (Manual white balance)
1. P ess SET to set Manual White Balance when the cu so is
positioned at White Balance and the mode is MANUAL.
2. P ess the left, ight, up, o down di ection buttons to cont ol
the Red/Blue gain.
3. Afte setting, p ess SET to etu n to the MAIN MENU.
Note : To avoid failu e of the AWC mode setting, do not move
the came a o object until the “white balance completed”
message appea s.
Gain level is f om 0 to 20.
