to an appropriate outlet socket installed in
accordance with local codes and regulations
i.e. AS / NZS 3000.
Disconnect the main power supply before
any maintenance, repairs, or cleaning is
undertaken.
* It is recommended that these appliances are
connected to a separate 240VAC supply,
protected by an appropriate circuit breaker and
Residual Current Device. Check the nameplate
on the icemaker for the supply requirements.
* The main control box fuse is rated at 12A and
should only be replaced by a qualified service
engineer.
* The service of a licensed electrician may
be required to ensure the installation is in
accordance with the local codes and regulations.
* The non-rewirable plug must never be used
withoutafusecoverbeingtted.
* The correct replacement for the detachable fuse
cover is identifiable from the manufacturer’s
reference number stamped on the plug.
* Supply of replacement fuse covers can be
obtained from Hoshizaki Parts/Service Centres.
* The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Green & Yellow = Earth

Brown = Live
5. WATER SUPPLY AND DRAIN
CONNECTIONS
WARNING
Connect to potable cold water supply only.
* The service of a licensed plumber may
be required to ensure the installation is in
accordance with the local codes and regulations.
[Connection to the water supply]
* The connections to the mains water supply must
be made in accordance with the Plumbing Code
of Australia and in accordance with AS / NZS
3. An electrical link/connection between the
icemaker and compressor system is NOT
necessary. Where a multi compressor rack
system is used, the icemaker’s internal controls
will close the electrically operated solenoid
valves to stop ice production. Where a single
remote compressor is used, this must be tted
with a low pressure safety switch to stop the
compressor at approx. 0.5 bar suction pressure
as the solenoid valve’s closing will result in the
compressor pumping down.
2) After completing all the refrigeration tubing
connections, the pipe work should be leak
tested, evacuated and vapour charged with
R404A. The design pressure of R404A is 31.4
bar (3.08 MPa) at discharge side and 16.7 bar
(1.64 MPa) at suction side.
3) The refrigeration connections are now complete.
Proceed to sections 4 and 5 to continue with
other service connection requirements before
completing section 6, the start-up procedure.
4) Refit the side and top panels in their correct
positions.
4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
WARNING
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
