The HP StorageWorks MSL2024 Tape Library
combines native capacity of up to 9.6 TB and tape
library features in a compact 2U form factor. Ideal for
replicated systems, web-based management allows
centralised management of many sites. The MSL2024
Tape Library offers configuration choices with either
one HP StorageWorks Ultrium 960 SCSI or FC Tape
Drive, or up to two HP StorageWorks Ultrium 448 Tape

Drive units. If only one Ultrium 448 Tape Drive is
selected, a second Ultrium 448 Tape Drive can be
installed later if backup needs grow. The library also
offers two 12-slot removable magazines, one mail slot
and a bar code reader for efficient media management.
All MSL2024 Tape Library systems and associated kits
are RoHS compliant.
The HP StorageWorks MSL2024 Tape Library is
the highest density tape library in a 2U form factor
designed for medium- to large-sized businesses which
deploy multiple replicated systems. An integrated
web-based remote manageability feature is standard
allowing for simple management capability from any
remote or on-site location.

provides faster inventory times and facilitates tracking

dedicated import/export of media cartridges, each
library includes one user-enabled mail slot. The library
includes two removable 12-slot magazines for bulk
loading of media and also provides a convenient
bulk storage unit for moving media off-site.
•Investment protection for performance and capacity
needs – Choose library capacity with one Ultrium 960
Tape Drive or up to two Ultrium 448 Tape Drives.
Upgrade the performance of the tape library from one
to two Ultrium 448 Tape Drives through the addition of
a second Ultrium 448 Tape Drive.
•Flexible interface – SCSI and FC interfaces provide
options for installing the tape library into a SCSI or
SAN environment.
•RoHS compliant – Meets lead-free initiatives required
for EU compliance.
•Customer serviceable and replaceable components –
Easy-to-manage modular design of tape library allows
for quick service or repair of unit to reduce downtime
and maximise efficiency.
