Preparing E219
1) RemovetheUMTSsubscriberidentity
module/subscriberidentitymodule
(USIM/SIM)cardslotfromtheE219.
TheninserttheUSIM/SIMcardintothe
cardslot,asshowninthefollowing
figure.MakesurethattheUSIM/SIM
cardisfullyinplace.
2) Insertthecardslot intotheE219,as
showninthefollowingfigure.
InstallationInstructions
TheinstallationproceduresoftheE219
Managervarywithoperating systems(OSs).
Refertotheactual installationinstructions
duringtheinstallationprocess.
1.Connecting theE219with
aComputer
Note:First, poweronacomputer.Then
connecttheE219withthecomputer.
Otherwise,thenormalinstallationofthe
E219 canbeaffected.

1) Plugthemini-universalseriesbus(USB)
connectorintotheE219.
2) PlugtheconnectorsofthemainUSB
datacableand theauxiliaryUSBdata
cableintotheUSBinterfacesofthe
computer.

recognizesthenewhardwareand
displays onthestatusareaofthe
desktop,indicatingthattheE219is
connectedtothecomputersuccessfully.
2.InstallingtheE219
Manager
1) ConnecttheE219 toacomputer.
2) Theinstallationwizardautomatically
starts.Iftheinstallationwizarddoesnot
respond,double-clickthe AutoRun.exe
fileinthedriverpathtomanuallyinstall
theE219Manager.
3) Follow theinstructionstoinstall the
E219 Manager.
Note: Donot disconnecttheE219 during the
installationprocess.
4) Iftheinstallationsucceeds,theshortcut
iconoftheManagerappearsonthe
desktop.
3.Removingthe E219
ToremovetheE219,usethehardwaredeleting
functionofWindows.
1) Double-click onthestatusarea of
thedesktop; the"SafelyRemove
Hardware"prompt isdisplayed.
2) Select "Huawei Mass StorageUSB
Device"tostop.
3) At theprompt, removetheE219.
