Attention! If your fixture is equipped with a multi-tap ballast and if no voltage was specified on the purchase order,
the ballast has been wired for operation on a 277 volt circuit (347v in Canada). If other than 277 volts is required, i.e.
120v, 208v, 240v, connect incoming voltage lead to selected voltage lead on ballast. Cap off all unused voltage leads.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Make certain electricity is OFF before starting installation.
1. Open fixture by loosening self-retained J-20 screw opposite hinge. Swing lens frame open until stop arm prevents
further movement. Loosen self-retained 10-32 screw and remove splice cover at inside base of fixture.
2. Lay pole horizontally on padded supports to protect finish. Pull field wires through pole and out pole top. Wire leads
need to extend 10” beyond pole top.
3. Feed field wires going inside the spreader retainer springs (if fixture is equipped with a spreader) and up through the
holes into the wire chamber. Keeping light tension on these leads so they won’t be caught or pinched, slide fixture
onto pole top, orient fixture to desired direction according to light pattern label on reflector.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:
Make certain electrical supply is OFF before beginning maintenance procedures.
Fixture Opening: Loosen the self retained J-20 screw located in the lens frame, (opposite hinge area), and open
fixture until the stop arm prevents further movement.
Reflector and Lens Cleaning: A regularly scheduled maintenance program should be followed to retain optimum
light output and reduce heat retention. Dusting with a soft, clean dry cloth is normally sufficient for the reflector. Any
accumulation of dust or dirt should be removed regularly from both sides of the lens during relamping (using ammonia
water). Do not use alkaline or acid on reflector surfaces.

REMOVING REFLECTOR ASSEMPLY:
Vertical Lamp Reflector: Loosen (Do Not Remove) the four 10-32 screws located at the top of the reflector
assembly. Slightly turn reflector bracket to release screws through key-hole slots. Lower reflector assembly and
unplug nylon wire connector.
Horizontal Lamp Reflector: Pull reflector assembly down to release assembly from reflector bracket. Unplug nylon
wire connector and remove reflector. Loosen (Do Not Remove) the four 10-32 screws holding the reflector bracket in
place. Rotate reflector to release screws through key-hole slots.
REMOVING THE BALLAST ASSEMBLY:
In the event that the ballast should require inspection or service, this assembly is located behind the reflector.
Unplug nylon wire connector between the power lead-in and ballast assembly. Loosen (Do Not Remove) the four 10-
32 screws at the outside edges of the ballast assembly. Slightly lift assembly to release screws through key hole
slots.
WARNING:
This H.I.D. / Fluorescent fixture utilizes a lamp that

LAMP INSTALLATION:
Tighten lamp sufficiently to ensure a vibration-safe installation.
After tightening (if necessary), gently center lamp in reflector
for optimum performance.
Spreader Mount:
1. Make sure fixture is square on pole.
2. Using a ratchet wrench and a N” socket, tighten the center bolt to 25 foot-pounds torque.
Tenon Mount:
1. Make sure fixture is square on pole.
2. Using a F" hex wrench, tighten the four set screws provided on the slipfitter. Remove one set screw, drill
recess in tenon for screw point, and replace set screw.
4. Connect field wire to fixture leads observing polarity, i.e., green-to-ground, white-to-common, and black-to-voltage.
Push the connected wire ends into the wire chamber and replace splice cover.
5. Screw proper lamp (as per fixture label) into socket and tighten lamp sufficiently to ensure a vibration-safe

KIM LIGHTING LIMITED WARRANTY
When installed in accordance with Kim Installation Instructions and accepted trade practices, the
following shall apply:
General Product Limited Warranty Coverage
All material and component parts used in the manufacture of Kim Products, are warranted to be free from
defects of material and/or workmanship for a period of 1 year from date of sale, with the following
exceptions:
Auxiliary Equipment
All auxiliary equipment (such as lamps, ballasts, and transformers) provided by and/or included in Kim
Products shall carry the component manufacturer's warranty.
Copper and Bronze Landscape Components
Copper and Bronze Landscape fixture components shall be warranted against defects of material and/or
workmanship, and failure due to corrosion, for a period of 25 years from date of sale.
Composite In-Grade Components
Composite In-Grade fixture components installed below grade, shall be warranted against defects of
material and/or workmanship, and failure due to corrosion, for a period of 7 years from date of sale.
Aluminum Landscape Components
Aluminum Landscape fixture components not in direct contact with soil, shall be warranted against
defects of material and/or workmanship for a period of 3 years from date of sale. Aluminum fixture
components in direct contact with soil shall be warranted from defects of material and failure from
corrosion for a period of 1 year from date of sale.
Limit of Liability and General Conditions
Only products which are installed, used and maintained in accordance with applicable Kim instructions,
specifications and accepted trade practices, are covered by the Kim Warranty. During the warranty
period, with proof of purchase, Kim will repair or replace with the same or similar product, at Kim's
option, without charge. Labor costs are the owner's responsibility and are excluded from this warranty.
This warranty is void if the product is modified, tampered with, misapplied, poorly installed, improperly
maintained, or subjected to abnormal conditions.
Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the purchaser. This
warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness
for a particular application. Kim Lighting shall not be liable to the purchaser for indirect or consequential
damages.
