WARNING - To guard against injury, basic safety precautions should be
observed, including the following:

DANGER - To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken in
the use of aquarium equipment. For each of the following situations, do not
attemptrepairsyourself;returnthe appliancetoan authorizedservicefacility
for service or discard the appliance.
1. A) If the appliance falls into the water, DON’T reach for it!
First unplug it and then retrieve it. If electrical components
of the appliance get wet, unplug the appliance immediately.
B) Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should
not be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to be wet
C) Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug,
or if it is malfunctioning or if it is dropped or damaged in any
manner. Inspect power cord insulation to be sure there are no
cuts or exposed wire. If so, discard and order a new replacement.
D) To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet,
position aquarium stand and tank to one side of a wall mounted
receptacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle
or plug. A “drip loop”, shown in the Figure at right,should be arranged
by the user for each cord connecting an aquarium applliance to a
receptacle.The “drip loop” is that part of the cord below the level of
the receptacle or the connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent
watertravelingalongthe cordandcoming incontact withthe receptacle.
If the plug or receptacle does get wet, DON’T unplug the cord. Disconnect the
fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the appliance.Then unplug and
examine for presence of water in the receptacle.Close supervision is necessa-
ry when any appliance is used by or near children.
2. Closesupervisionisnecessarywhen anyapplianceisused byornearchildren.
3. To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts such as heaters, re-
ectors, lamp bulbs and the like.
4. Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in use, before putting
on or taking o parts, and before cleaning. Never yank cord to pull plug from
outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
5. Do not use an appliance for other than intended use.The use of attachments
not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an un-
safe condition.
6. Do not install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to the weather
or to temperatures below freezing.

read the instructions carefully, you will then appreciate the lters unique features
and characteristics and you will be able to use PRIME at its best.

Installation
Attention: always disconnect all electrical equipment from the electricity supply, installed
both inside and outside your aquarium, before putting your hands in the water and be sure
that the voltage of the mains corresponds to the voltage shown on the label of the unit.
Whilst priming the lter, PRIME must be located below the aquarium level -Fig. 2-. If you
wish to place the unit at the side of the aquarium, you must do so only after priming it.
Preparing the lter
• Choose the most suitable location for the inlet and outlet systems and install them with the
locking nuts on the outside of the tank. It is suggested that the intake and outlet units should be
mounted close to the rear corners, at opposite ends -Fig. 3-.
• It is possible to adjust the height of the intake unit by inserting the extension tube between
the ow indicator and the strainer, if necessary by cutting it to the correct length. Should your
aquarium not require the extension, simply connect the strainer to the ow indicator.
• Adjust themaximum heightof the outletunit as indicated by“MAX.WATER LEVEL”and cut oany
excess tubing -Fig. 4-. Both the connector tubes must be xed to the walls of the tank by means
of the suction cups provided.
• Cut the exible tubes to the most convenient length, the cut must be at 90° to the tube wall
and as neat as possible. Connect the tubes to the inlet and outlet systems, as straight as possible
without kinks or twists, xing them with the locking nuts following the procedure as shown in
g. 5.
• For the rst 24 hours of operation it is advisable to check the closure of the connections and of
the nuts.
Fitting the valve taps
Attention:toavoidtheinconvenientsiphoning eect which canempty theaquarium whilst
it is being maintained, PRIME is equipped with special valve taps to ensure a perfect shut-o
of the connecting tubes.Their unique design allows their release only in the OFF position.
Screw the valves tightly on to the sloping rotatable ttings protruding from the pump
assembly -Fig. 6-. Connect the exible tubes to the valves following the same procedure
used to connect them to the collectors tubes.
Attention: connect the outlet tube with the lter exit marked“OUT”and the intake tube to
the lter inlet marked“IN”-Fig. 7-.
If the temperature is too high, after the heater has been working for 24 hours or more,
proceed as follows.

Placement of the lter media
• Rotate the clips unlocking the pump assembly and open the lter by levering on the special slots
using your ngers -Fig. 8-.
• Remove the lter media container and open it by unscrewing the cover in an anticlockwise
direction-Fig.9-.Iftheproductissuppliedwithltermedia, itwill belocatedinside thecontainer.
• Remove the media from their plastic bags, rinse under water, and pour them in the net bags. If
the product is supplied without lter media,ll the container with the choosen materials. Rinse
the lter media before using them.
• Close the container very carefully screwing the cover in a clockwise direction and replace it in
the lter.
• Reassemble the pump assembly, paying attention to the correct position of the reference marks
-Fig. 10-, ensure the clips are in open position since forcing the unit in with these closed will split
the canister. Make sure the pump assembly is properly seated in the lter unit and close the clips
until they click into position. Check that the inlet and outlet systems, the valves and nuts are all
locked tightly. Open the valve taps by rotating the levers.
Starting the lter
PRIME is a self-priming lter: it is simply necessary to ll up the priming chamber with water
and to plug into the mains supply, as follows:
Bypressing theredbutton inthedirection of the“arrow”engravedon it,unscrew the priming
tap and remove it -Fig. 11-.
Fill up the priming chamber -Fig. 12-.
Replace the tap and carefully twist it clockwise, until the red button relocates into position.
ConnectPRIME to mains supply,itwillstart automatically andalltheair inside the lter body
andthe tubes will be dischargedthroughtheimpeller chamber.It is normal acertain amount
of noise due to the presence of air in the ducts until all the air is discharged. It may take a
short time for the lter to fully prime. Once the lter is running, the noise will disappear and
PRIME will work quietly and at its best.
Setting up the ow indicator
PRIME’s intake tube is equipped with an indicator system which allows you to monitor the
need for cleaning.
• With the PRIME running, check the level reached by the water in the indicator tube -Fig. 13a-.
• Disconnect the electricity supply and any other electrical equipment and place the red coloured
mark in the mid point between the level ascertained above and that of the aquarium water -Fig.
13b-.
• As the lter becomesclogged, thelevelof the waterin the indicator tubewill get closerand closer
to the red mark -Fig. 13c-. It is recommended that the lter is cleaned as soon as the water level
reaches or goes past the red mark.
Maintenance
Attention: always disconnect all electrical equipment from the electricity supply, installed
both inside and outside your aquarium, before putting your hands in the water.
• Shuto both valves,unscrewthemandremovethem fromthe lterby pulling themo the lter.
Attention: the valve taps must remain attached to the exible tubes.
• It is normal for a very small amount of water inside the valves to be discharged, this does not
indicate faulty functioning of the valve taps. Place the lter body in a bowl to allow you to open
up the unit without fear of spillage.
• Open the clips until they click out of the locking position and take apart the pump assembly from
the lter by levering on the special slots -Fig. 8-.
• Pull out the lter media container by its handle and open by unscrewing the cover -Fig. 9-.
• To avoid destroying the colonies of bacteria in the substrate of the lter,it is recommended to
wash or to replace only one part of the lter media at one time.
• Close the container very carefully screwing the cover in a clockwise direcion and replace it in the
lter. Everytime the lter media is cleaned it is recommended that the rotor impeller assembly is
cleaned together with its chamber, priming chamber and all the water ducts.
• Remove the priming chamber from the pump by unscrewing it -Fig. 14-.
• By pressing the red button in the direction of the“arrow”engraved on it, unscrew the priming
tap -Fig. 11-.
• Removethe pump chamberpulling it from itstop -Fig. 15-. Removethe impeller from itsseating.
Use a sti brush clean carefully to remove all deposits and wash well under running water.
Attention: do not use solvents or detergents of any kind.
• Reassemble the whole unit in reverse order.

For the models PRIME 20 and PRIME 30 ensure the “O” ring is in place. If necessary clean
all the deposits from the collectors,intake and outlet system and exible tubes. For this
operation it is suggested that you use the special brushes available at your dealers.
ReplacePRIME as described under“INSTALLATION”,connect the valvetaps, open the leversby
rotating them into the in-line position. Check the tightness of all nuts and connections and
re-prime the lter as described under“STARTING THE FILTER”.
Cautions
• This appliance is intended for indoor use only and for use in uids up to 35° C.
• Be sure that the voltage of the mains supply corresponds to the voltage shown on the label of
the unit.
• Before connecting to mains supply be sure that the cord and the unit are undamaged.
• The cord of this unit cannot be replaced or repaired; in case of damage it will be necessary to
change the whole unit.
Guarantee
This device is guaranteed for a period of 24 months from the day of purchase, against
defects in material or manufacturing defects. Our guarantee does not apply to claims the
cause of which is due to installation and operation faults, lack of maintenance, misuse of the
appliance, eects of frost, furringand lime deposits or amateur attempts at repair work.The
consumable materials and the parts subjected to wear and tear, that must be periodically
replaced for normal maintenance of the device, are not included in our guarantee.
The certicate of guarantee must be completed by the retailer and is to be sent with the
appliance in case of return, together with the purchase receipt recording the day of purchase.

Внимание: перед погружением рук в аквариум отключите все электрические
устройства вашего аквариума (установленные как внутри, так и снаружи) от сети
электропитания,атакжеубедитесь,чтонапряжениесетиэлектропитаниясоответствует
значению номинального напряжения, указанному на ярлыке устройства.
Впроцессезаполнения фильтраPRIME водойондолженрасполагатьсяпод аквариумом
-рис. 2-. Если вы хотите поставить фильтр сбоку от аквариума, это можно сделать
только после его заполнения водой.
Подготовка фильтра
•Выберите наиболее подходящее место для впускных и выпускных элементов системы,
после чегозакрепитеихспомощью фиксаторныхгаекна наружной поверхности стенки
аквариума. Предлагаем установить впускные и выпускные элементы ближе к задним
углам на противоположных стенках -рис. 3-.
•Высоту всасывающей трубки можно регулировать с помощью удлинительной трубкой,
вставленной между индикатором потока и сетчатым фильтром. При необходимости
удлинительную трубку можно обрезать до нужной длины. Если для вашего аквариума
удлинительная трубка не требуется, просто присоедините сетчатый фильтр к
индикатору интенсивности потока.
•Установитемаксимальнуювысоту выпускнойтрубки, как показано на рис.4по надписи
“MAX. WATER LEVEL” (максимальный уровень воды). Излишек трубки отрежьте. Обе
соединительныетрубкинадо прикрепить кстенкам аквариумас помощью имеющихся
в комплекте присосок. Обрежьте гибкие трубки до максимально подходящей длины.
Срез должен быть перпендикулярным (под 90° к стенке трубки) и максимально
аккуратным (ровным). Подсоедините трубки к системам впуска и выпуска
максимально ровно (без перегибов или искривлений) и зафиксируйте их с помощью
фиксаторных гаек, соблюдая последовательность действий, показанную на рис. 5.
•В течение первых 24 часов работы рекомендуется проверять герметичность
соединений и гаек.
Подсоединение клапанных кранов
Внимание: во избежание нежелательного эффекта сифонирования, который может
привести к осушению аквариума в процессе технического обслуживания, помпа-
фильтр PRIME оборудована специальными клапанными кранами, обеспечивающими
полное перекрытие соединительных трубок. Их уникальная конструкция позволяет

открывать их только в положении выкл. (OFF). Как следует завинтите клапаны на
изогнутых вращающихся фитингах, торчащих из помпы -рис. 6-. Наденьте на клапаны
гибкие трубки - последовательность действий такая же, как для подсоединения
их к коллекторным трубкам. Внимание: соедините выпускную трубку с выходом
фильтра, промаркированным словом“OUT”, а впускную трубку с впускным клапаном,
промаркированным словом“IN”-рис. 7-.
Размещение фильтрующего материала
•Поверните зажимы для разблокировки помпы и откройте фильтр используя
специальные углубления для пальцев, как показано на рис. 8.
•Извлеките контейнер с фильтрующим материалом и откройте его, открутив крышку в
направлении против часовой стрелки -рис. 9-. Если изделие поставляется в комплекте
с фильтрующим материалом, он будет находиться внутри этого контейнера.
•Извлеките материалы из полиэтиленовых мешочков, промойте водой и поместите
их в сетчатые контейнеры. Если изделие поставляется без фильтрующих материалов,
заполните контейнер выбранными материалами. Перед использованием
фильтрующие материалы необходимо промыть водой.
•Очень осторожно закройте контейнер, закрутив крышку в направлении по часовой
стрелке, а затем снова установите его в фильтр.
•Снова соберите помпу, следя за тем, чтобы положение контейнера соответствовало
маркировке -рис. 10-. Убедитесь, что зажимы находятся в открытом положении,
поскольку в противном случае чрезмерное усилие может расколоть емкость.
Убедитесь, что помпа правильно установлена в фильтрационном блоке, и закройте
зажимы до щелчка. Проверьте, чтобы впускные и выпускные системы, клапаны и
гайки были надежно затянуты. Откройте клапанные краны, повернув рычажки.
Запуск фильтра
PRIME- это фильтр с самозаполняющейся емкостью: надо просто заполнить водой
заливочную камеру и подключить помпу к сети электропитания.
•Выполняется это следующим образом:
•Нажав красную кнопку в указанном стрелкой направлении, открутите заливочную
пробку -рис. 11-.
•Заполните заливочную камеру -рис. 12-.
•Установите на место пробку и осторожно поверните её по часовой стрелке, пока
красная кнопка не выщелкнется в исходное положение.
•Подключите PRIME к сети электропитания. Помпа запустится автоматически и весь
имеющийся внутри корпуса фильтра и трубок воздух будет вытолкнут через камеру
крыльчатки.Пока невыйдетвесь имеющийсявнутривоздух,будетслышеннебольшой
шум - это нормально. Для полного заполнения фильтра водой потребуется некоторое
время. Как только фильтр заработает, шум исчезнет и PRIME будет работать тихо.
Наладка интикатора потока
На впускной трубке помпы-фильтра PRIME имеется система индикации, позволяющая
отслеживать необходимость выполнения очистки.
•В процессе работы PRIME проверьте уровень воды в индикаторной трубке -рис. 13a-.
•Отсоедините устройство от источника электропитания и других электрических
устройств, а затем поместите красную метку посередине между установленном
уровнем воды внутри индикаторной трубки и уровнем воды в аквариуме -рис. 13b-.
•Поскольку фильтр засоряется, то уровень воды внутри индикаторной трубки будет все
ближе и ближе приближаться к красной метке -рис 13 с-. Рекомендуется выполнить
очистку фильтра как только уровень воды достигнет или пройдет красную метку.
Техническое обслуживание
Внимание: перед погружением рук в аквариум отключите все электрические
устройства вашего аквариума (установленные как внутри, так и снаружи) от сети
электропитания.
•Закройте оба клапана, выкрутите их из фильтра и отложите в сторону.
•Внимание: клапанные краны должны оставаться присоединенными к гибким
трубкам.
•Если внутри клапанов находится совсем небольшое количество воды, это нормально
и не свидетельствует о неисправности клапанных кранов. Поместите корпус фильтра в
таз или другую емкость, чтобы при его открытии избежать проливания воды.
•Откройте зажимы до полного их выщелкивания из положений фиксации и откройте

фильтр используя специальные углубления для пальцев, как показано на рис. 8.
•Вытяните за ручку контейнер с фильтрующим материалом и откройте его, открутив
крышку -рис. 9-.
•Во избежание разрушения колоний бактерий в субстрате фильтра, рекомендуется за
один раз промывать или заменять только одну часть фильтрующего материала.
•Очень осторожно закройте контейнер, закрутив крышку в направлении по часовой
стрелке, а затем снова установите его в фильтр.
•Каждый раз при промывке фильтрующего материала рекомендуется выполнять также
очистку крыльчатки ротора вместе с её камерой, а также очистку заливочной камеры
и всех водопроводных трубок.
•Открутите от помпы и снимите заливочную камеру -рис. 14-.
•Нажав красную кнопку в указанном стрелкой направлении, открутите заливочную
пробку -рис. 11-.
•Снимите насосную камеру, потянув за крышку -рис. 15-. Выньте крыльчатку из её
гнезда.
•С помощью жесткой щетки аккуратно очистите все соприкасающиеся с водой
поверхности от известкового налета и промойте их водой.
Внимание: не используйте какие-либо растворители или моющие средства Снова
соберите все устройство в обратном порядке.
Для моделей PRIME 20 и PRIME 30 помпы PRIME убедитесь, что установлена
уплотнительное кольцо. При необходимости очистите от известкового налета все
коллекторы, впускные и выпускные системы, а также гибкие трубки. Используйте для
этих целей специальные щетки, которые можно приобрести у ваших дилеров.
Расположите PRIME как описано в главе“УСТАНОВКА”, подсоедините клапанные краны,
откройте их повернув рычажки в линейное положение (вдоль потока). Проверьте
надежность затяжкивсехгаеки соединений, после чего сновазаполнитефильтрводой,
как описано в главе“ЗАПУСК ФИЛЬТРА”.

помещений при максимальной температуре жидкости 35° C
