The IBM
6611
Network Processor is manufactured
to the International Safety Standard IEC950 and as
such is approved in the United Kingdom under the
General Approval number
NS/G/1234/J/100003.
The network adapter interfaces, housed within the
6611, are approved separately. Each one has its
own independent approval number.
These interface adapters, supplied by IBM, do not
contain excessive voltages. An excessive voltage is
one which exceeds 70.7v peak a.c
or
120v d.c.
They interface with the IBM
6611
using Safe Extra
Low Voltages only. In order to maintain the
independent approval of the IBM adapters,
it
is
essential that other optional cards, not supplied by
