1 Functions and features
The airflow monitor monitors airflows. It detects whether a preset airflow has been
reached (= green LED lights, output relay energised for NO, de-energised for NC).
If the flow is below the preset value, the red LED lights, the output relay is de-
energised for NO, energised for NC.
• Setting range 1m/s to 10m/s.
2 Installation
Protect the units and the cables efficiently against damage.
►Mount the airflow monitor using the supplied mounting clamp. Diameter of the
mounting hole for the unit: 24 mm.
►Use the supplied seal for a hermetically sealed installation.
►Install the unit so that the sensor head is completely inserted into the airflow.
Position the sensor head in the area of the highest flow velocity. Depth
of immersion: min. 32 mm, max. 120 mm.

►Align the unit in the airflow: the arrow on the cap must point in the direction of
flow.

or such like must be observed.

3 Electrical connection
The unit must be connected by a qualified electrician.
The national and international regulations for the installation of electrical
equipment must be adhered to.
Voltage supply for units up to 60 V to EN 50178, SELV, PELV.
►Disconnect power.
►Connect the unit as indicated on the type label.
4 Adjustment

►Switch on the power supply.
►Let the normal flow circulate in the installation (preset value) and keep it constant.

When the red LED is lit:
►Turn the potentiometer
slowly clockwise until the
red LED goes out and the
green LED comes on.
When the green LED is lit:
►Turn the potentiometer slowly anti-clockwise until
the green LED goes out and the red LED comes
on.
►Turn the potentiometer slowly clockwise again
until the red LED goes out and the green LED
comes on.

If fluctuations which may result during operation shall be compensated for:
►When the green LED has come on, continue to turn the potentiometer clockwise.
