Keep all safety warnings and instructions so that you can refer to them at
a later date.
The term “tool” in the warnings refers to your electrical tool run off the main
supply (with supply power cord) or your electrical battery-operated tool (without
a supply power cord).
WARNING. Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to
abide by warnings and instructions could lead to an electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Follow the specific instructions for waste elimination in your
country. Electrical appliances should not be thrown in the garbage.
The device, accessories and packaging should be recycled.
Ask your specialist INFACO retailer for the latest information on
eco-compatible waste elimination.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

You MUST wear a helmet, eye protection and hearing protection.

Note: The extensions poles are made of carbon, which conducts electricity. Do not use
the extensions poles near electricity supply points or electrical wires.

The first time the equipment is used, you are strongly recommended to request
the assistance of your retailer, who is fully qualified to supply all the advice you
need in order to use it correctly and achieve a good yield.
Your retailer is also able to direct you towards the best choice of rake and prong,
in line with your needs and the various types of olive trees you have.
FIRST USE
This instruction manual MUST be carefully read BEFORE using the
appliance.
SECURING THE RAKE
1 – Slide the clamp onto the central prong No.1, and make sure that the clamp
locating device is directed downwards, on the long prong side. (Photo 1B)
2 – Position both clamp and rake on the aluminium support, in line with the
locating device. (Photo 2B)
3 – Insert the two clamping screws and tighten using the Allen key provided, on
the long-prong side.
4 – Use the Allen key provided to lock into position on the short-prong side.

Before pluging N°4 to plug N°5 on the machine, connect the power cable N°8 to
the battery. Please follow :
1° Plug red pliers N°2 on the « + » terminal of the battery.
2° Plug black pliers N°3 on the « – » terminal of the battery.
3° Fit the power cable N°8 through support N°9.
4° Check that the switch N°10 on the is on « OFF », then plug N°4 to N°5 on the
machine.
Switch « ON » N°10 to start up the machine. Before pluging in the power cable to
the plug N°5, check that the switch N°10 is on « OFF ».
You should stop work to recharge your battery as soon as a lack of power is thus
indicated.
This appliance needs to be used for around three days before optimal operation
and yield is achieved.

We also recommend keeping the machine’s protective tube, in case it
needs to be returned to the factory for after-sales service.
Whilst the appliance is in use, always keep the hands well away from the
vibration head.
1. 1. Always disconnect the ELECTRO’LIV from plug numbers 4 and 5 for all
operations other than harvesting, and MOST IMPORTANTLY WHEN REPLACING
A BROKEN PRONG AS WELL AS DURING MANUAL HANDLING OF THE
RAKE.
2. Make sure the rake is securely attached to the vibration head every
morning, To do so, disconnect at plug No.4.
Only use batteries of 12V voltage.

LUBRICATION
For this operation, the ELECTRO’LIV MUST be disconnected.
Lubricate the vibration head at least once a day, in the morning before
starting work.
Position the aerosol nozzle towards the ball and socket joint. Hold the aerosol
vertically, then press. Lubricate the vibration head at least once a day (this can be
carried out without any dismantling).

CAREFUL! In order to reduce the risk of electrical discharge, injury and fire during
the use of electrical tools, please observe the following basic safety measures.
Read and follow these instructions before using the tool, and keep these safety
instructions!
For all operations other than harvesting, please disconnect plug (No.4).
Outside of harvesting operations, the ELECTRO’LIV must be stored in its packaging
tube and the battery- vest in its carrying case.
Whilst the appliance is in operation, always remember to keep hands well away
from the vibration head.
Do not use the machine if you are tired or if you are feeling unwell.
Wear non-slip shoes.
Do not leave the appliance within the reach of children or visitors.
- Whilst changing a harvesting prong.
- Whilst lubricating the vibration head.
- During all maintenance or repair operations on the appliance as a whole.
The ELECTRO’LIV MUST imperatively be disconnected at the back socket
No.4 for the following operations :
Do not use the appliance if there is any risk of fire or explosion- for
example in the presence of inflammable liquids or gas. Never carry the
charger by its lead, and so not pull on the lead to unplug it.
Keep the lead away from sources of heat, oil or sharp edges
Never use the appliance at night or in poorly lit conditions without set-
ting up extra lighting.
Whilst using the appliance, make sure you keep both feet on the ground
and stay as well-balanced as you can.
Be careful – the poles and rake are made out of carbon – a conductive
material. Do not use near electrical wires or sources.

The ELECTRO’LIV is guaranteed for a period of two years against all manufacturing faults
and defects.
This guarantee corresponds to normal use of the appliance and excludes :
- damage due to poor maintenance or a lack of maintenance,
- damage due to inappropriate usage,
- damage due to normal wear and tear,
- appliances which have been dismantled by unauthorized repairers,
- external forces (fire, flooding, lightning, etc.),
- impact and consequences,
- appliances whose guarantee card was not returned at the time of purchase,
- appliances used with a battery or charger other than those manufactured by
ELECTRO’LIV & ELECTROCOUP.
The guarantee can under no circumstances, give rise to any payment in case of the
appliance becoming unavailable during repairs.
All interventions made by a person other than an approved ELECTRO’LIV agent will
invalidate the equipment guarantee.
In case of any breakdown, we strongly recommend that users of ELECTRO’LIV equipment
either contact the retailer from whom they purchased the appliance, or our after-sales
service on (+33) 05 63 33 91 49 (France).
To avoid disputes arising, please make yourself familiar with the following procedure :
- for equipment submitted to us within the conditions of the guarantee, you pay to send
it to us and we pay the return postage.
- for equipment submitted to us outside of the conditions of the guarantee, but having
been serviced during the previous between-seasons period, you pay to send it to us and
we pay the return postage.
- for equipment which is neither within its guarantee period nor having been serviced
during the previous between-seasons period, you pay to send it to us and the return will
be made at your cost, cash on delivery.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Keep your work area tidy.
Untidiness in the work area increases the risk of accidents.
Take the work area environment into account.
Don’t expose electrical tools to the rain. Don’t use electrical tools in a humid or wet
environment. Make sure the work area is well lit. Don’t use electrical tools if there
are inflammable liquids or gases in the vicinity.
Protect yourself against electrical discharge.
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces, such as, for example: battery charger,
multiway electrical sockets, etc...
Keep children away !
Don’t allow other people to touch either the tool or the lead. Keep others well away
from your work areal.
Store your tools in a safe place.
Tools not in use should be stored in a dry, closed place, in their original packaging
and out of the reach of children.
Wear suitable working gear.
Do not wear flowing clothes or jewellery. These could get caught up by moving
parts. When working outdoors, you are recommended to wear rubber gloves and
shoes with non-slip soles. Use a hairnet if you have long hair.
Wear protective goggles.
Use a mask as well if the work you are doing produces dust.
Take care of the lead.
Never carry the charger by its lead, and so not pull on the lead to unplug it. Keep
the lead away from sources of heat, oil or sharp edges.
Take good care of your tools.
Regularly check the condition of the lead and plug, and have them changed by an
approved specialist if they show any signs of damage. Keep the Electro’liv dry and
free of oil and grease.
Remove the tool keys.
Remove any adjustment keys before switching on.
Check whether your appliance is damaged.
Before using the tool again, carefully check that the safety features are in perfect
working order and whether any parts have been slightly damaged.
Have your tool repaired by a specialist.
This machine is compliant with the safety regulations in force. All repairs must be
carried out by a specialist and exclusively using original parts. Parts which are not
original may be the cause of serious risk for the safety of the user.
