From theviewpointofanapplication,the6400 ComputerisaPCcompatible
computer, withsome exceptions,asdescribedbelow.
HowtheHardwareisDifferent
The6400 Computerisaruggedized,ergonomic,batterypoweredcomputer, with
inputfrom(keyboardorscanner),backlitdisplay,integratedcommunications,
andvariouscombinationsofexternalandinternalperipherals.Itisdesignedfor
amobile environment.
ThesystemhasnoPC Cardsupport,exceptforthededicatedlocalarearadio
usage.Ithasmemorycontrollers,aswell asbusmanagement;andispowered
