INSTALLING AND USING THE
“SPECIAL RENOVATION” INTERCOM
GENERAL POINTS
The “special renovation” video intercom (ref. 02-0126) is the size of a keypad, and
can easily replace the latter as part of a renovation.
It is equipped with a removable terminal block for fast, clean installation.
We have optimised sound quality with a “full duplex” system: Anti-feedback and external
noise reduction.
It must be connected with a 3G module on the following “real-time” central units:
2 to 4 doors (ref. 03-0101 HCEN12)
1 door (ref. 03-0102 EEN-CIC12)
Product description:
The Video intercom with name scrolling is composed of:
A 12-key keypad and backlit / braille LCD screen (ø 16 mm).
Two scroll keys and one call key
A proximity reader
A miniature camera for use when making video calls
Built-in speech synthesis: “Call in progress”; “Door open”, etc.
The intercom is available in flush-fit only and with 3 finishes:
Anthracite / Silver –Stainless steel zamak
Champagne / Silver –Aluminium zamak
Gilt / Gold –Aluminium zamak

B) CONNECTION OF THE ELECTRIC LOCK /MAGNET LOCK AND THE PUSH BUTTON
- Twisted pairs –Diameter: 0.8 –Max distance 100 metres
- Video will only work if the intercom is fitted with a 3G module.
- Maximum allowable voltage on the relay of the intercom / central unit:
42V AC or 60V DC
- Relay protection varistor supplied and calibrated for 12V.

EQUIPMENT CONFIGURATION
A) GENERAL POINTS
INTRATONE intercoms are mainly configured via the website www.intratone.info.
Nonetheless, some settings can only be changed on the spot:
- Push button configuration.
- Door opening time configuration.
- Intercom volume.
B) CONFIGURATION WITH A RESIDENTIAL CENTRAL UNIT 03-0101
(See central unit guide V233-5001-XX)
For push button and time-delayed opening see the central unit “Door settings” menu.
For the volume level, two choices are available to you in the “Intercom volume” menu:
- “Direct volume input”:
Enter a value between 1 and 4 corresponding to the volume level.
- “Intercom adjustment”:
This menu triggers a 15-minute counter. Throughout this time you can go to the intercoms
connected to this central unit to adjust the volume level.
Step 1:
Enter the

which runs in a loop.

Confirm
the selected level
by pressing the
call button
on the intercom
This procedure is valid during the 15 minutes of the counter. To exit this procedure, wait until
the end of the counter or quit the “Intercom adjustment” menu.

- How to enter settings mode
oCheck that the welcome message is scrolling on the LCD screen
oPress the key until the “Enter password” menu appears.
oEnter the serial no. of the central unit (7xxxxxx3).
oConfirm with the button. “You are in menu settings mode”
- Exit settings mode:
oPress the arrow several times until you return to the scrolling message.

POST-INSTALLATION CHECK
Before quitting the installation, the following points must be checked:
A) ON THE INTERCOM
- Display correctly shows the welcome message
- Check that the keypad keys (0,1, 2 9, * and #) are working.
Procedure:
oPress #. the display shows “Call number”
oThe numerical keys should be correctly displayed
oEnd with the * key. The display should return to the welcome message.
- Check that the keypad keys are backlit.
B) CONNECTION TO THE DOOR
- Check door opening with the push button
- Check door opening with a badge
(See Test procedure in the central unit guide)
C) CALLS
- Check visitor to resident sound quality:
oAudio call
oVideo call
- Check that during the call the resident can open their door by pressing the * key on
their telephone

D) 3G MODULE RECEPTION LEVEL
With your intercom, it is possible to see the reception level for this block by simultaneously
pressing the 2 scrolling arrows on the display.
You will either have:
“RES 3G Niv 17 3” or “RES GSM Niv 17 3”
- RES: indicates which network has been found by the block (3G or GSM)
- Niv : indicates the level out of 30 (here 17 / 30) and the corresponding ratio out of
5 (here 3/ 5)
Press one of the arrows to quit this menu.

EU standards:
The intercom is compliant with R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC: electrical safety standard
applied EN 60950(2001), EMC standard applied EN 301 489-3(2002), radio standard
applied EN 300 330-2(2001)
The intercom is compliant with telephone network standards TS-103 021 and TR-
103 000.
Cabling:
The cables connected to the central unit must not be close to other power sources
(mains power supply, for example).
Operating guarantees:
The intercom is guaranteed within a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C and a level of
relative humidity not exceeding 70%.
End-of-life recycling of the product:
The intercom and its accessories must not be discarded with unsorted municipal
waste, but must be disposed of via the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment) collection and recycling system
