Mounting
1.
Pulloutthelockingpinandrotateby90degreesto
disengagefromthebedendonbothsides.
2.
Aligntheslotsinthebedendwiththetabsonthe
Sannebracketandplacethebedendontothetabs.
3.Pushdownrmlyandensurethatthebedendisfully
seatedinthetabs.
4.
Rotatethelockingpinandallowittoengagewiththe
bedendonbothsides.
Dismounting
1.Pulloutthelockingpinandrotateby90degreesto
disengagefromthebedendonbothsides.
2.Holdthebedendrmlyoneachsideandpullup
verticallyonbothsidesatthesametime.
3.2.2BedendsforQuick-bracket
Mounting
1.
Aligntheslotsonthebedendwiththetabson
theQuickbracketandlowerthebedendontothe
brackets.
2.
Pressdownrmlyandensurethebedendisfully
seatedonthebrackets.
Dismounting
1.Holdthebedendrmlyoneachsideandpullup
verticallyonbothsidesatthesametime.

Dependingonthebedendtobemounted,itmightbe
requiredtopre-mountorchangethebedendbrackets.
Mounting
1.Insertthebedendbracketsintothesidetubesofthe
mattresssupportplatform.
2.Fixthebedendbracketsonthesidetubeswiththe
screwsfrombelowandtightenrmly.
Dismounting
1.Removethescrewsandpullthebedendbracketsout
ofthesidetubes.
3.3Mattresssupportextension
Forpatients,tallerthan185-190cmitisrecommended
toextendthemattresssupportofthebed.

Riskofinjury
Theusercangettrappedorsuffocated.
–Alwaysextendthemattresswhenextending
bed.
–Theremustbeadistanceofmorethan2,5
cm,betweenthebedendandthemattress
bow,toavoidentrapmentofngers.
–Alwaysmakesuretotightenthescrewsfor
themattresssupportextension.
Thebedcanbeextended5or10cminbothendsofthe
bed–toamaximumextensionof20cm.
1.Ifapplicable,dismountthesiderails,bedendsand
liftingpole.
2.Toextendthebedinthefootend:
a.LoosenthescrewsAunderneaththesidetubes.
b.PulloutthebedendbracketsBby5or10cm,
andre-tightenbothscrewsA.
c.LoosenthescrewsConthemattressbowDand
pullitouttomatchtheextension.
d.Makesurethereisatleast2,5cmbetweenthe
mattressbowDandthebedendandre-tighten
bothscrewsC
3.Toextendthebedintheheadend:
a.LoosenthescrewsAunderneaththesidetubes.
b.PulloutthecrosstubeBby5or10cm,and
re-tightenbothscrewsA.
c.LoosenthescrewsConthemattressbowDand
pullitouttomatchtheextension.
d.Makesurethereisatleast2,5cmbetween
themattressbowDandthecrosstubeBand
re-tightenbothscrewsC
4.Replacethemattressorputinattingmattresspiece.
5.Ifapplicable,mountthesiderails,bedendsandlifting
pole.
Loosemattresspiecesshouldalwaysbettedin
theheadendofthebed.

4.1.2InstallingtheFreya/Emblasiderail

bedifthesiderailisnotcorrectlymountedor
damaged.
–Makesurethatallglidingshoesarecorrectly
guidedintothebedendguideways.
–Makesurethatallsiderailbarsareabove
thelockingpinandproperlylocked.
–Makesurethatthestrapsbetweenthebars
arenotdamagedorloose.
Mounting
1.Lifttheupperbarinoneendofthesiderail.The
releasebuttonsCmustfaceup/outwards.
2.PressinthelockingpinAintheendofthesiderail.
3.GuidethethreeglidingshoesB(intheendofthe
siderailbars)upintothebedendguideways,until
theyhaveallpassedthelockingpinD.
4.Repeatsteps2and3tomounttheothersideofthe
siderail.
Dismounting
1.Lowerthesiderail.
2.Liftthelowerbar,inoneend,tomakethelocking
pinDvisibleandpressitinwithapointedobject
(e.g.apencil).
3.Lowerallthreebars,untiltheyareoutofthe
guideways.
4.Repeatsteps2to3todismounttheotherendofthe
siderail.

Mounting
1.
Placethemountingclampsofthesiderailoverthe
squaretubeA,withthereleasesystemBatthe
headendofthebed.
2.
TightenthengerscrewsCtoattachthesiderailon
thesquaretubeAandmakesureitissteadyand
fastened.

1.LoosenthengerscrewsCandremovethesiderail.

andthedistancebetweenthebedendand
thesiderailstopbarismorethat3cmand
lessthan6cm.
Twosiderailspersideofbed
–Alwaysmakesurethatonesiderailis
mountedclosetotheheadendandtheother
closetothefootendofthebed.
–Alwaysmakesurethatthedistancebetween
thebedendsandthesiderailstopbaris
morethat3cmandlessthan6cm.
–Forlongsiderails,additionallymakesure
thatthemiddlegapbetweenthetwoside
railstopbarsislessthan6cm.
Mounting
Dependingontheindividualneedoftheend-useronly
oneortwosiderailsofthesamelengthcanbemounted
oneachsideofthebed.
Theinstallationofthelongandtheshortversion
oftheTorillsiderailissimilar.
1.Raisethesiderailtoitshighpositionandremovethe
twoboltsandwashersonthebrackets.
2.
Placebothbracketsofthesiderailonthesidetube
ofthemattresssupportplatform.
3.Positionthesiderailwithadistanceof3–6cm
betweenthetopbarandthebedend.
4.
InserttheboltBwithwasherCunderneaththe
sidetubeofthemattresssupportplatformandrmly
tightenwitha6mmAllenkeyonbothbracketsof
thesiderail.
5.Repeattheprocedureattheheadendontheother
sideofthebedoratthefootendonthesameside
ofthebed,dependingonthesiderailversionused,
desiredcongurationandavailabilityofadditionalside
rails.
Dismount
1.Untightentheboltsandremoveonbothsiderail
brackets.
2.Liftthesiderailofthesidetube.
4.2Backupbattery
Thebedcanbeequippedwithabackupbattery.The
backupensuresthatthebedcanbeadjustedduringa
powerfailureortransport.

2.Fixthebackupbatterybytighteningthetwonger
screws.

counter-clockwisetoopenthelidandremoveit.
4.Connectthecablefromthebackupbatterytothe
controlunitinthesocketlabeledwiththebattery
symbol.
5.Putthelidbackonthecontrolunitandcloseitby
turningthelock90degreesclockwise.
Chargingthebatteries
WARNING!

Oldorfaultybatteriesmaygeneratean
explosivegasmixtureduringcharging.
–Thebatteryboxisprovidedwithventsto
ensureadequateventilationofthebox.Do
notblockorcoverthevents,asthismay
resultinpressurebuilt-upandtheriskof
explosion.
1.Connectthecontrolunittothemains.
•Thecontrolunitmustbeconnectedtothe
mainsfor24hourspriortorstuse.
•Batteriesmustbecharged,atleast,every6
monthsformaintenancepurposes.
Preventivemaintenance
Frequent,suddendischargesreducethelifetime
ofthebattery.
Werecommendthebatteriestobetestedatleastonce
ayear.
Batteriesarenotdamagedbycontinuousconnectionto
themains.
Exchangingthebatteries

Priortoinsertionmakesurethatthebatterysetis

thebatterybox),andthatnoneoftheconnections
areloose.
