IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: When using pneumatic tools, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS TOOL
This tool was designed for the installation of asphalt roof shingles. We strongly
recommend that this tool not be modied and /or used for any application other than
that for which it was designed. If you have any questions relative to its application,
do not use the tool until you have written us and we have advised you.
1. SAFETY GLASSES To prevent eye injuries, the tool operator and all persons in
the work area must wear approved safety glassesto ANSIZ87.1 specications
with permanently attached, rigid side shields.
2. EAR PROTECTION Wear ear protection to safeguard against possible hearing
loss.
3. DRESS SAFELY. Protective gloves and non-skid footwear or safety shoes are
recommended while working with and operating this tool. Do not wear loose
clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair.
4. USE CLEAN, DRY, REGULATED, COMPRESSED AIR at 85-120 psi / 586 to
827 kPa / 5.9 to 8.3 bar.
5. DO NOT CONNECT TOOL to pressure which potentially exceeds 200 psi /
1379 kPa / 13.8 bar.
6. AIR HOSE Only use hose that is rated for a minimum working pressure of 150
psi or 150% of the maximum system pressure, whichever is greater. Check
that connections are tight..
7. NEVER USE OXYGEN, CARBON DIOXIDE, combustible gases or any other
bottled gas as a power source for this tool. Explosion and serious personal
injury could result.
8. COUPLINGS Connect tool to air supply hose with a 1/4” NPT coupling that
removes all pressure from the tool when the coupling is disconnnected.
9. DISCONNECT TOOL FROM AIR SUPPLY HOSE before doing any disassem-
bly, maintenance, clearing a jammmed fastener, leaving the work area, moving
the tool to another location, or handing the tool to another person.
10. EXTENSION CORDS: Observe warnings that accompany air compressors
concerning the use of the correct gauge and insulation on extension cords used
out of doors.
11. NEVER USE A TOOL that is leaking air, has missing or damaged parts, or
requires repair. Make sure all screws and caps are securely tightened.
12. CHECK FOR DAMAGED PARTS. Never use a tool if safety, trigger, or spring
are inoperable, missing or damaged. Do not alter or remove safety, trigger, or
springs. Make daily inspections for the free movement of trigger and safety
mechanism.
13. REPLACEMENT PARTS. When servicing, use only identical ITC replacement
parts and fasteners recommended by us.
14. CONNECT TOOL TO AIR SUPPLY BEFORE loading fasteners to prevent
fasteners from ring during connection. The fastener driving mechanism may
cycle when the tool is connected to the air supply.
15. ALWAYS ASSUME THE TOOL CONTAINS FASTENERS. Keep it pointed
away from yourself and others at all times. No horseplay. Respect the tool as
a working implement.
16. DO NOT LOAD FASTENERS with the trigger depressed. The tool may unin-
tentionally re a fastener.
17. DO NOT DEPRESS THE TRIGGER when not driving fasteners. Never carry
tool while touching on the trigger mechanism: tool may re an unwanted fas-
tener.
18. DON’T OVERREACH. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not
reach over or across machines which are running.
19. GRIP TOOL FIRMLY to maintain control while allowing the tool to recoil away
from the work surface as the fastener is driven.
20. DO NOT DRIVE NAILS on top of other fasteners, or with the tool at too steep
an angle: the fasteners can ricochet causing personal injury.

21. FIRE FASTENERS INTO WORK SURFACE ONLY. Do not drive nails nor at-
tempt to do so, into hard or brittle materials such as steel, concrete, or tile.
22. DO NOT DRIVE NAILS too close to the edge of the workpiece. The workpiece
is likely to split, allowing the fasteners to y free or ricochet causing personal
injury.
23. STAY ALERT. Keep hands and body away from the path of any potential red
fastener. Watch what you are doing & use common sense. Don’t operate any
tool when you are tired or under the inuence of drugs or alcohol. Check
prescriptions to determine if there could be a problem.
24. GUARD AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK. Prevent body contact with grounded
surfaces: pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerator enclosures. Before driving
fasteners into walls, oors, or wherever “live” electrical wires may be encoun-
tered, try to ascertain whether there is a danger of shock.
25. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAR of obstructions.
26. STORE IDLE EQUIPMENT. When the tool is not being used, it should be
cleaned, and stored in a clean dry place out of the reach of children.
27. EMPLOYERS must enforce compliance with the safety warnings and all other
instructions in this manual. Keep it available for use by everyone assigned to
use this tool.

cover all possible conditions and situations that occur. It must be understood by
the operator that COMMON SENSE AND CAUTION ARE FACTORS that cannot

OPERATING PROCEDURES
SET UP
Your roong coil nailer is fully assembled when you receive it. See the
recommended air system setup below.
Be sure that the couplers are set up so that the air hose is depressurized when
adding or removing components from the system.
AIR SOURCE
The ITC 013125 is designed to operate on clean, dry, compressed air, regulated
at 85-120 psi / 586 to 827 kPa / 5.9 to 8.3 bar. The preferred system would
include a lter, a pressure regulator, and an automatic oiler located as close to
the tool as possible (within 15 feet / 5 meters is ideal).
All compressed air contains moisture and other contaminants that can harm the
internal components of the tool. An air line lter will remove most of these and
signicantly prolong the life of the tool. If an in-line oiler is not available, place 5
or 6 drops of oil into the tool’s air inlet at the beginning of each workday.
The tool can be equipped with a male ‘quick connector.’ To prevent acciden-
tal cycling when disconnected, it must always be connected to the air supply
in such a way that all air pressure in the tool is released when the coupling is
disconnected.
CAUTION:
 All air line components (including hoses, pipe, connectors, lters, & regula-
tors, etc.) must be rated for a minimum working pressure of 150 psi / 1034
kPa / 10.3 bar or 150% of the maximum system pressure, whichever is
greater.
Disconnect the tool from the air supply before performing maintenance, clear-
ing a jammed fastener, leaving the work area, moving the tool to another
location, or handing it to another person.
PREPARING THE TOOL
1. After reading and understanding this entire manual, connect tool to air supply.
2. Turn on the air compressor and adjust the regulator to the proper pressure
for the fastener size you are using. (See Using the Tool, below with regard to
adjusting this.)
CAUTION:
Keep the tool pointed away from yourself and others at all times.
Always connect the tool to air supply before loading fasteners.
Do not load fasteners with safety or trigger depressed.
Always wear approved safety glasses and hearing protection when preparing
or operating this tool.
Never use a tool that leaks air or needs repair.

LOADING FASTENERS
1. Press down latch, open feeder cover and magazine cover
2. Adjust nail support to suit desired nail length. The nail support can be lifted
and rotated to three different positions that provide support for different length
roong nails. The lowest position is for 1-3/4" nails, the center position is for
1-1/4" and 1-1/2" nails, and the upper position for 7/8" and 1" nails.
3. Remove retainer from a coil of nails, uncoil approximately 3 nails, and position
the coil on the nail support with the second nail in the feed ngers.
4. Close the magazine cover. Close and latch the feeder cover.
5. Adjust the directional exhaust deector so that the exhaust air will be directed
away from the operator. Grasp the deector and rotate it to the desired posi-
tion.
6. Adjust the shingle guide by loosening the retaining screw and sliding the shingle
guide to the desired position. Tighten the retaining screw rmly. (The shingle
guide can be used as an aid in positioning the shingle to be nailed at a specic
distance from the front edge of the previous row of shingles.)
USING THE TOOL
Complete all the steps in Preparing the Tool and Loading Fasteners, above,
before using the tool.
This tool can be red two different ways:
1. Position the nose of the tool onto the work surface, push forward on the tool
to depress the safety, and squeeze the trigger to re a nail. This “trigger re”
method provides the most accurate fastener placement.
2. Squeeze and hold the trigger while pushing the nose of the tool against the
work surface. The tool will re a nail every time the safety is depressed. This
“bottom re” method allows very fast, repetitive fastener placement.
CAUTION:
Remove nger from the trigger when not driving fasteners.
Never carry tool with nger on trigger: tool will re a fastener if the safety is
bumped.
Keep tool pointed in a safe direction at all times.
Never attempt to drive nails into materials too hard to penetrate, or at too
steep an angle, or too near the edge of the workpiece. The fastener can rico-
chet causing personal injury.
Disconnect tool from air supply before doing any disassembly, maintenance,
clearing a jammmed fastener, leaving the work area, moving the tool to an-
other location, or handing the tool to another person.
Clean and inspect the tool daily. Carefully check for proper operation of trig-
ger and safety mechanism. Do not use the tool unless both the trigger and
the safety mechanism are functional, or if the tool is leaking air or needs any
other repair.
The depth to which a nail is driven is controlled by the depth adjustment knob,
reachable through the window in the front of the clear plastic guard. The depth
of drive is factory adjusted to maximum.
Test re a nail into a sample of the material you will be working on and check
depth. If a change is desired, rotate the adjustment knob clockwise (upward)
to increase the depth, counterclockwise (downward) to decrease it. Test re
another nail and check depth again. Adjust as necessary.
CLEARING A JAMMED FASTENER
1. CAUTION: Disconnect the tool from the air supply.
2. Open the feeder cover and the magazine cover. Remove any remaining
fasteners from the nailer.
3. Use a slender, soft steel rod to push the drive blade to its uppermost position.

Remove the jammed fastener with needle nose pliers.
4. Follow instructions in Preparing the Tool to reload fasteners.
CLEAN AND INSPECT DAILY
CAUTION: Disconnect tool from air supply before cleaning and inspection.
Correct all problems before putting the tool back in service.
Wipe tool clean and inspect for wear or damage. Use non-amable
cleaning solutions to wipe exterior of tool only if necessary. Do Not Soak
tool with cleaning solutions. Such solutions can damage internal parts.
Inspect trigger and safety mechanism to assure system is complete and
functional: no loose or missing parts, no binding or sticking parts.
Keep all screws tight. Loose screws can cause personal injury or damage
the tool.
If the tool is used without an in-line oiler, place 5 or 6 drops of air tool oil into
the air inlet of the tool at the beginning of each workday.
TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUTION: Disconnect the tool from air supply before performing any service
procedure.

ITC branded power tools, air nailers staplers and compressors are designed for use in DIY (do-it-yourself), light or
intermittent duty, semi-professional applications. They are not intended for use in professional, production, industrial or
continual use applications.
ITC makes every effort to ensure that its products meet high quality and durability standards and are warranted for two
years against manufacturers’ faults and defects for a period of two years from the date of purchase to the original owner.
ITC will REPAIR OR REPLACE (at our discretion) merchandise deemed by the company to be defective, provided that it
is has not been misused, abused, altered, or repaired by anyone other than an authorized repair centre.
Please consult the ITC catalogue or your nearest ITC distributor to determine those products that are covered by our
over-the counter warranty. Any ITC tool that fails during normal use and within the specied warranty period and qualies
for over-the counter warranty must be returned to its point of purchase for replacement or credit. Any item not listed as
over-the-counter warranty must be shipped, prepaid freight, to an authorized repair depot accompanied by a copy of the
invoice specifying the date that the item was purchased. Returned tools that are not accompanied by a proof of purchase
(Copy of Invoice) will not be repaired or replaced under warranty.
This warranty does not extend to normal wear or consumable parts such as brad and staple gun driver blades, grinding
discs, saw blades, driver bits, electric motor brushes, worn chords, etc. It also does not apply to ITC tools used in
professional, production, industrial or continual use applications.

Cet outil a été conçu pour installer le bardeau d’asphalte de toiture. Nous
recommandons fortement que cet outil ne soit pas modié ni utilisé pour une
application autre que celle pour laquelle il a été conçu. Si vous avez une question
relativement à l’application de l’outil, n’utilisez pas l’outil, avant de nous avoir écrit
et d’avoir attendu nos recommandations.
1. LUNETTES DE PROTECTION Pour éviter toutes blessures aux yeux,
l’opérateur et toutes personnes dans l’aire de travail doivent porter des lunettes
de protection avec protecteurs de côté rigides, attachés en permanence.
2. PROTECTION DES OREILLES Porter un serre-tête antibruit pour vous
protéger contre la perte de l’ouïe.
3. UTILISER DE L’AIR COMPRIMÉ PROPRE, SEC ET CALIBRÉ À 70 à 120 psi
/ 488 à 827 kPa / 4.88 à 8.3 bar.
4. NE PAS BRANCHER L’OUTIL si la pression dépasse 200 psi / 1379 kPa / 13.8
bar.
5. TUYAU À AIR Utiliser seulement un tuyau à air calibré pour une pression de
travail minimum de 150 psi ou 150% du maximum du système de pression, le
plus élevé des deux.
6. NE JAMISA UTILISER D’OXYGÈNE, MONOXYDE DE CARBONE, des gaz
combustibles ou tout autre gaz embouteillé comme source d’énergie pour cet
outil. Une explosion pourrait se produire et causer des blessures.
7. RACCORDS Brancher l’outil au tuyau d’air utilisant un raccord qui élimine toute
pression de l’outil lorsque le raccord est débranché.
8. DÉBRANCHER L’OUTIL DU TUYAU D’AIR avant de démonter l’outil,
d’effectuer l’entretien, de retirer un clou coincé, de quitter l’aire de travail, de
déplacer l’outil dans un autre endroit ou de remettre l’outil à une autre
personne.
9. NE PAS UTILISER L’OUTIL s’il y a une fuite d’air; s’il manque des pièces, ou
si celles-ci sont endommagées ou doivent être réparées. Assurez-vous que
toutes les vis et bouchons sont bien xés.

14. NE PAS CHARGER LES CLOUS lorsque la gâchette ou le mécanisme de
sécurité est enfoncé. Un clou pourrait être accidentellement éjecté de l’outil.
15. NE PAS LAISSER VOTRE SUR DOIGT SUR LA GÂCHETTE lorsque vous ne
posez pas de clous Ne jamais transporter l’outil avec le doit sur la gâchette :
un clou pourrait être projeté si le mécanisme de sécurité est déclenché ou si
vous faites pression sur la gâchette.
16. NE PAS VOUS ÉTIREZ. Conservez vos pieds sur le sol et maintenez votre

17. TIRER LES CLOUS DANS LA SURFACE DE TRAVAIL SEULEMENT: jamais
dans un matériau difcile à pénétrer.
18. TENIR L’OUTIL FERMEMENT pour un meilleur contrôle tout en permettant à
l’outil de reculer de la surface de travail lorsqu’un clou est éjecté. Si le mé-
canisme de sécurité entre en contact avec la surface de travail avant que la
gâchette ne soit relâchée, un clou sera inutilement éjecté.
19. NE PAS ENFONCER UN CLOU sur d’autres clous, ou si l’angle de l’outil est
trop prononcé : les clous pourraient ricocher et causer des blessures.
20. NE PAS ENFONCER LES CLOUS trop près du bord de la pièce de travail. La
pièce de travail pourrait fendre, et les clous seront projetés librement et pour-
raient causer des blessures.
21. SOYEZ VIGILANT Tenir vos doigts et vos mains éloignés des clous éjectés.
Surveillez vos mouvements et utilisez le sens commun. N’utilisez pas un outil
quand vous êtes fatigué.
22. PRÉVENIR LES CHOCS ÉLECTRIQUES. Éviter le contact de votre corps
avec les surfaces mises à terre : tuyaux, radiateurs, cuisinières et réfrigéra-
teurs. Lorsque vous posez des clous dans les murs, planchers ou dans les
secteurs où des ls électriques sous tension pourraient être touchés, tentez de
déterminer s’il y a un risque de choc électrique.
