FOR YOUR SAFETY
Read all instructions, warnings and cautions carefully. Follow all safety precautions to avoid personal
injury or property damage during system operation. Jackco cannot be responsible for damage or injury
resulting from unsafe product use, lack of maintenance or incorrect product and/or system operation.
Contact Jackco when in doubt as to the safety precautions and operations.
Failure to comply with the following cautions and warnings could cause equipment damage and
personal injury.
• To avoid personal injury keep hands and feet
away from work piece during operation.
• NEVER set the relief valve to a higher pressure
than the maximum rated pressure of the pump.
Higher settings may result in equipment damage
and/or personal injury. Do no remove relief
valve.
• Keep hydraulic equipment away from flames
and heat. Excessive heat will soften packing and
seals, resulting in uid leaks. Heat also weakens
hose materials and packings. For optimum
performance do not expose equipment to
temperatures of 150°F or higher. Protect hoses
and cylinders from weld spatter.
• Hydraulic equipment must only be serviced by a
qualied hydraulic technician. For repair service,
contact JACKCO Inc. To protect your warranty,
use only JACKCO hydraulic oil.
• This jack is designed for transmission and
installation of automobile and light truck
component parts. The instructions must be
carried out conscientiously in order to operate
the jack safely and properly.
• Stay clear of loads supported by hydraulics.
A cylinder, when used as a load lifting device,
should never be used as a load holding device.
After the load had been raised or lowered,
it must always be blocked mechanically.
• Do not exceed equipment rating never attempt
to lift a load weighing more than the capacity
of the cylinder. Overloading causes equipment
failure and possible personal injury.
• BE SURE SETUP IS STABLE BEFORE
LIFTING LOAD.
• Avoid situations where loads are not
directly centered. Off-center loads produce
considerable strain on cylinders and
plungers. In addition, the load may slip or
fall, causing potentially dangerous results.
• Immediately replace worn or damaged parts
genuine JACKCO parts. Standard grade parts
will break causing personal injury and property
damage. JACKCO parts are designed to fit
properly and withstand high loads.

IMPORTANT : Dirt is the greatest single cause of failure in hydraulic units. Keep
the jack clean and well lubricated to prevent dirt/debris from entering the system.
If the jack has been exposed to rain, snow, sand, or grit, it must be cleaned
before it is used.
1. Store the jack in a well-protected area where it will not be exposed to corrosive
vapors, abrasive dust, or any other harmful elements.
2. Regularly lubricate the moving parts.
3. To check the oil level, place the jack on level ground lower the lift arm
completely. Remove the ll plug. The oil level should be within 3/8” of the ller
plug hole. Do not overll. If necessary, add approved anti-wear hydraulic jack oil,
and install the ller plug again.
IMPORTANT : The use of alcohol, hydraulic brake fluid or detergent motor oil
could damage the seals and result in jack failure.
4. Inspect the jack before each use. Take corrective action of the following
problems are found:
a . Cracked or damaged housing
b . Excessive wear, bending, or other damage
c . Leaking hydraulic uid
d . Scored or damaged piston rod
e . Malfunctioning swivel heads or adjusting screws
f . Loose hardware
g . Modied or altered equipment

delivery vavle. 3. Clean dust or sludge.
4. Defective packing. 4. Replace packing.
Jack lifts only partially
1. Lack of hydraulic oil. 1. Fill hydraulic oil.
2. Excess of hydraulic oil. 2. Drain out excess hydraulic oil.
Jack lifts load, but
doesn’t hold
1. Improper contact of suction
valve, delivery valve & by-pass
valve.
1. Clean and adjust all valves.
2. Worn out piston packing. 2. Replace piston packing.
Jack does not lower 1. Release valve blocked by foreign
