terminalslocatedonthebackoftheenclosure.Maintain
consistentpolaritywhenconnectingtheloudspeaker
systems.
CAUTIONTheamplifierpowermustbedisconnected
whenmakingorbreakingaudioconnectionstothe
system.
Makingorbreakingconnectionswhilethe
amplifierisoperatingcould'seriouslydamagethe
loudspeakerandvoidthewarranty.
AdjustingtheSystem
Acontinuouslyvariablehighfrequencylevelcontroladjusts
theoutputofthehighfrequencyloudspeakertocompensate
forroomacoustics.Thecontrolscaleismarkedwith0
representinguniformresponseina reverberation-free
environment:specialsettingscanbeloggedandeasilyreset
whenneeded.
Maintenance
Thegrilleissecuredtotheenclosurebydowelpinslocated
nearthecornersoftheenclosure.Toremovethegrille,grasp
itbythetopandbottomcornersoftheenclosureandpull
gently.Toreplaceit,repositionitonthedowelpinsand
presslightly.
Thegrilleclothisa double-knitpolyesterfabricselectedfor
acoustictransparency,beauty,strength,colorfastnessand
soilresistance.Itcanbecleanedbygentlydustingitwitha
vacuumcleaner.Stainsmayberemovedbyusingaerosol
cleanerssuchasTexizeK2r.Goddard'sDRYCLEAN,or
PenChampQUICKN EASY,accordingtothemanu-
facturer'sdirections.
CAUTIONTheuseofcleaningfluidsorothersolvents
willresultinpermanentdiscolorationofthegrillefabric.
Occasionaldustingwitha clean,softclothwillmaintainthe
finishoftheenclosure.Becausetheoiledwalnutsurfaceis
moistureresistant,a dampclothwillremovemoststains.
Conventionalfurniturewaxesorpolishesshouldnotbe
used,
buttheenclosuremaybetreatedwitha waxspecially
formulatedforsuchsurfaces.
Thewalnutfinishmayappeartodryoutastheoil
penetratesdeeperintotheveneer.Manyownerstherefore
re-oiltheenclosurefromtimetotime.Witheachapplication
ofoilthebeautyofthefinishwillbeenhancedanda
rich,
warmpatinawilleventuallyappear.
Tore-oiltheenclosure,useanyofseveralclearoil
finishingpreparationsavailableatfurnitureorhardware
stores.Applya liberalamountoftheoilovertheentire
surfaceoftheveneer.After15minutes,wipethesurface
witha clean,soft,drycloth.
Smallsurfacescratchescanusuallyberemovedbygently
rubbingthemoutwitha #4/0steelwoolandapplyingoil
tothewholepanel.Whenusingsteelwool,pressverylightly
andrubonlyinthedirectionofthegrain.Deepscratches
orseriousdamageshouldberepairedonlybya qualified
furniturerefinisher.
