Wood displays differentgrainpatternsdependingonwhichwaytheyarecut-forexample,the'medullary ray'
whichcanappearonoakfurnitureisamarkofgood qualitytimber-thesearejustcharacteristicsofthe natural
beauty ofthe wood.
Somefurnitureisalsodeliberatelyagedandrustic.
Woodveneersalso allowdistinctivepatternsto becreatedonsomesurfaces,suchastabletopsanddrawer
frontsbythewayslivers arearranged.
All timberand veneersurfaceswillchangecolourandmellowovertime.Newfurniturewillinitiallyvary inshade
fromitemsthathavebeenpreviouslypurchased.
Howtocare for yourwoodfurniture
Dustwithaclean,damp,lintfreecloth.Frequentdustingwillremoveabrasivebuildup,whichcandamagethe
finishovertime.
Donotuseaverywetclothorallowanyliquid tocontactwiththeveneersforalongperiod oftimeasthiscan
permanentlydamagethesurface.Wipeupspillsimmediately.
Donotuseanyabrasivecleanerorharshdetergentasthiscandamagethe surface ofthe furniture.
Spraypolishesarebestavoided astheycontainsiliconeswhichmayspoilthefurniture'ssurface bybuilding up
overtime.
Makesureallsurfacesareprotectedfromheatandliquidsbymatsandcoasters.
Ensurethatamatorpad isplaced underpaperwhenyouarewritingonthefurnituresurface.
Donotplacerubberorplasticmaterialsonthewoodfinishaschemicalswithinmayreactwiththe finishifleftin
contactforanextended periodoftime.
Ourfurniturewillenduremosttemperaturesinthehomebutitisbestto avoid placingfurniturenexttoheat
sourcessuchasradiatorsorfires.Beparticularlycarefulwithsolid woodasthelackofhumidity causedbyhome
heatingcancausedamagesuchaswarping,cracking orsplitting.
Excessiveexposureto sunlightcancausefadingofyourfurniture.
SafetyInstructions:
Neverdragfurniturewhenmoving it.Alwaysliftit.
Periodicallycheckallfixingsto ensurenonehavecomeloose.Re-tighten whennecessary.
Pleasetakecarewhenhandlingormovingthefurnitureascarelesshandlingmaycausedamageorinjury.
Furniturecanbedangerousifincorrectlyinstalled.Assemblyshouldbecarried outbyacompetentperson.
