Introduction
ThankyouforchoosingaJUWELAquariumproduct.
Ourproductsrepresentover40yearsexperienceinthemanufacturingofaquariums
andtheiraccessoriesapplyingthemostmodernproductiontechniquesinbringing
togethertheJUWELAquariumsystem,whichisbotheasytouseandsimpleto
maintain.
InstallingtheJUWELAutomaticFeeder
TheJUWELautomaticfeederissuitableforallaquariums.Allthattypicallyrequiresis
simplycuttinganopeningintothecoverlidoftheaquariumthatissuitablefor
retainingtheholdingjacketoftheautomaticfeeder.
Theholdingjacketisdesignedinsuchamannerthatitincludesasmallcoverwhich
closesthefeedopeningwhiletheautomaticfeederisnotbeingused.Accordingly,no
lightentersthroughthecover.
Theopeningispre-cutandclosedwithacoverinsomeJUWELaquariumsduring
manufacturing.
1.StartbyremovingthecoverthatclosestheopeningforyourJUWELautomatic
feederinthelid(ifapplicable)orcutanopeningintothelid.
2.Placetheholdingjacketincludedinthedeliveryintotheopening.
3.Openthecoverofthefeedopening.
4.Properlypositiontheautomaticfeederabovetheopeningintheholdingjacket.

Note.FlapsetsforJuwelautomaticfeeder
IftheflapsetonyourJuwelaquariumdoesnothavethefeedertemplatemarked
onitwerecommendthatyoucontactyoursupplyingretailer.
AnoriginalJuwelflapsetwiththeappropriatefeedertemplatecanbepurchased
asasparepart.

ProgrammingtheJUWELAutomaticFeeder
TheJUWELautomaticfeederenablesyoutoprogramuptotwofeedsperday.
Whensettingupthefeederpleaseconsiderthetimingcarefully,thefirstfeedwill
happenwhenyouturnthefeederonandthensubsequentlyevery24hoursatthatset
time.Ifyouselectasecondfeedthiswillhappenautomatically6hoursafterthefirst
andagainwillrepeatthiscycleevery24hours.Pleaseconsiderthistimingtoavoid
feedingthefishwhenthelightsareout.
StartbyplacingtheAAbatteriesthatareincludedwithyourJuwelAutomaticfeeder
intobatterycompartmentE.
Pushthe"ON/OFF"button.AredLEDwillilluminatetoconfirmthisoperation.
ThefirstfeedisactivatedbyturningonthefeederandisconfirmedbyaGreenLED
whichwillinitiallyflashandthenstayon.Atthispointanactualfeedingwilltake
placeandthetimeissetforsubsequentfeedsat24hourintervalsuntilturnedoff.
Ifyourequireasecondfeeding,pushthe"SET"button.
AyellowLEDstartsflashingandsubsequentlyilluminates.Thisindicatesthatyouhave
settheJUWELautomaticfeedertotwofeedings.Afirstfeedingwillnowtakeplaceat
thesettimeandasecondfeedingwilltakeplace6hoursafterthefirstfeedingonall
followingdays.
(Example:Activationat9a.m.,feedingsat9a.m.and3p.m.)
Ifyouwishtoswitchbacktoonefeeding,pressthe"SET"buttononemoretimeor
switchofftheautomaticfeederpriortoswitchingitbackon.
Controlpanel:
ON/OFF:SwitchestheautomaticfeederON/OFF
SET:Selectingthefeedingtimeandprogrammestart
GreenLED:1releaseoffeedwithin24hours
Thereleaseoffeedtakesplaceatthetimeoftheinitialprogrammeactivationand
thenexactly24hoursonallfollowingdays.
YellowLED:2releasesoffeedwithin24hours
Thefirstreleaseoffeedtakesplaceatthetimeoftheinitialprogrammeactivation,
thesecondfeedingfollowsafter6hours.Thiscycleisrepeatedevery24hours.
PleasesettheprogrammeinsuchamannerthattheJUWELautomaticfeederreleases
thefeedwhileyourlightsareon.
M:Manualfeedrelease
Pushthe"M"buttoninordertoreleaseadditionalfeedortotestthefunctionality.
Batteries
Ifthebatterieshavebeenreplacedorremoved,the
JUWELautomaticfeederwillneedtobere-programmed.
IfnoLEDsareilluminated,pleasecheckthebatteriesforproperinstallationorreplace
them.

1.PullcontainerCtotheoutside
2.RemovecoverAandinsertfeed.Thefeedshouldnotbecompressedinorderto
ensureitsevenrelease.
3.ClosethecontainerwithcoverAandre-insertthecontainerinsuchamannerthat
itaudiblyclicksintoposition.
4.Asdetailedin"Installation",pleaseplacetheautomaticfeederabovetheopening
ofthefeederhole.
ItispossibletoconnecttheJUWELautomaticfeedertoanairpumpinordertokeep
thefooddry.
Adjustingthefeedquantity:
YoumayadjustthequantityoffoodreleasedbymeansofcontrollerB.
ServiceandMaintenanceoftheJUWELAutomaticFeeder
TheJUWELautomaticfeederrequiresverylittlemaintenance.
YoushouldcleanfeedcontainerCandthesurroundingareaatregularintervals.
Whenreplacingthebatteries,checkthecontactsarecleananddry.

Guarantee
WeguaranteetheperformanceoftheJUWEL-Aquariumproductoritsaccessoriestothe
purchaserforaperiodof24monthsfromthedateofpurchaseaccordingtothe
followingconditions:
§1Extentoftheguarantee
(1)ThisguaranteeextendstotheJUWEL-Aquariumproductanditscomponents
excludingitemssubjecttowearandtearsuchaslighttubesandfiltermedia.Itis
limitedtotheproductassuchanddoesnotcoverdamagetootherpropertyand/or
individuals.Inaddition,theprovisionsoftheproductliabilitylawapply.These
provisionsarenotlimitedbytheaforementionedarrangement.
(2)ItistheprerogativeofJUWEL-Aquariumtodecidewhethertheguaranteeis
performedbymeansofrepairorreplacement.Ifneitherrepairnorreplacementcan
ensuretheperformanceoftheJUWEL-Aquariumproductthepurchaserisentitledto
demandareductioninpriceortoreturntheproductagainstrepaymentofthe
purchaseprice.
§2Guaranteeperiodandsettlementprocedure
(1)Theguaranteeperiodbeginsonthedayofthepurchaseoftheproductfromthe
retailer.Claimsunderthisguaranteewillnotbehonoured,if
(a)thedamageiscausedasaresultofimproperuseormaintenanceornon-
observanceoftheinstructionsgiveninthismanual
(b)theproductoritscomponentshavebeenmaintainedbypersonsorcompaniesnot
authorisedbythemanufacturertodoso
(c)theproductoritscomponentshavebeendamagedbymechanicalmeansof
whatsoeverkind,inparticularbrokenglass
(2)Allclaimsunderthisguaranteehavetobenotifiedtotheretailer,fromwhomthe
aquariumhasbeenpurchasedwithoutdelay,however,notlongerthan2weeksfrom
thedayoffirstoccurrenceofdefects.Rightsundertheconsumerprotectionlawswill
remainunaffected.
(3)Guaranteeclaimswillonlybeacceptedifthevalidityoftheclaimissupportedby
evidenceofpurchaseoftheJUWEL-Aquariumproduct.
Thisdeclarationofguaranteeisatranslationonly.Incaseofdoubtstheoriginal
Germanlanguageversionprevails.
