IMP RTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTI NS
2. Check that your mains voltage corres onds to that stated on the

a liance or its control anel in water or other liquid.
5. Close su ervision is necessary when the a liance is used by or
near children.
6. Do not o erate any a liance with a damaged cord or lug or
after the a liance malfunctions or has been damaged in any
manner. Return a liance to the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, re air, or adjustment.
7. Do not lace any items on to or next to this a liance at any
time. To revent a fire, kee this a liance clear of contact with
any flammable materials including curtains, dra eries, walls,
lastic materials, etc., at all times.
8. Un lug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before utting on or taking off arts, and before cleaning
the a liance.
9. Do not lace any flammable materials in or close to the Dee
Fryer, such as a er, cardboard, lastic or flammable
substances.
10. Oversized foods must not be inserted into the Dee Fryer as they
may create a fire.
11. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
a liance manufacturer may cause injuries.
12. Do not use outdoors.
13. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot
surfaces.
14. Do not use with an extension cord.



15. Do not lace on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
16. Extreme caution must be used when moving an a liance
containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
17. It is forbidden to place the lid on the deep fat fryer when it is in
use, as this could cause fire or oil overflow. For this kind of fryer
the lid should only be used for storing and moving (as soon as the
dee fat fryer has cooled down).
18. Always attach lug to a liance first, then lug cord in the wall
outlet. To disconnect, remove lug from wall outlet.
19. Do not use a liance for other than intended use.
20. Be sure the handle is ro erly assembled to basket and locked in
lace. See detailed assembly instructions
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTI NS
P LARIZED PLUG INSTRUCTI NS
This a liance has a olarized lug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this lug will fit into the
olarized outlet only one way. If the lug does not ro erly fit into
the outlet at first, reverse it. If it still does not fit, contact a com etent
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

A short ower su ly cord is rovided to reduce the hazards resulting
from becoming entangled in, or tri ing over a longer cord. Do not
use the a liance with an extension cord.

BEF RE USE
• Remove all ackaging from the unit.
• Remove the lid, basket, handle and any accessory form the
a liance.
• Before you use the dee fat fryer for the first time, we
recommend that you clean the lid, bowl, basket, handle and
housing of the dee fat fryer with warm soa y water with a soft
cloth.
DISASSEMBLING THE DEEP FAT FRYER
• Remove the control anel from the a liance. To do this, gently
ull the control anel u wards until it is released.
• Take the interior bowl with your two hands and ull it u gently.
ASSEMBLING THE DEEP FAT FRYER
• Stand the a liance on a dry horizontal surface.
• Place the bowl back in the housing and ush it downwards.
• Re lace the control anel and the accessories. To re lace the
control anel, firmly slide the control anel downward into the
location grooves on the back of the housing until it is locked.
• NOTE: The a liance will only o erate when the control anel is
correctly fitted to the outer jacket.
• Unfold the handle of the basket until it is locked to allow rising the
basket easily.
• Put the remaining ower cord length in the cord storage in the
back of the a liance.
FIRST USE
• When using the a liance for the first time, our the required
amount of oil in the bowl, making sure that the level is between
the MIN and MAX marks indicated inside the bowl.
• We recommend that you use a liquid oil that is suitable for dee
fat frying. Check the label on the bottle. If you wish to use a solid
fat, cut the fat in small ieces. Plug in the a liance, ut the
thermostat on the minimum osition and add the fat ieces
slowly. When the fat has melted, set the thermostat to the desired



tem erature. Warning: failure to observe this will damage your
dee fat fryer.
USE
• Plug in the a liance and set the thermostat to the desired
tem erature. The ower light (3) and the ilot light (4) will
illuminate. As soon as the desired tem erature is reached, the
ilot light (4) will go out. When the tem erature falls, the
thermostat will be activated again, and the ilot light will
illuminate. It will go out again as soon as the tem erature is
reached.
• Do not ut the lid of the dee fat fryer during use. Only ut it
once the a liance has com letely cooled down to avoid dust
getting into the oil.
• When the fryer has reached the desired tem erature, raise the
basket using the handle.
• Place the food into the basket slowly to avoid s lashes and lower
the basket fully into the oil or fat.
• When the food is ready, raise the basket by lifting the handle and
let the food drain.
• If necessary you can take the basket out of the a liance.
• Ensure the food is thoroughly cooked inside and out.
• Your dee fat fryer does not have a se arate ON/OFF switch.
After use, turn the thermostat to its off osition and un lug the
a liance. Never move the a liance as long as the oil or fat is
still hot.
F R BEST RESULTS
• Always dry food well before frying. Very ‘wet’ food can cause the
oil to ‘foam’ and may overflow.
• Food for frying should be roughly of the same size to ensure the
food cooks evenly and thoroughly.
• Many ty es of food may need to be coated before frying -
ty ical coatings are batter or breadcrumbs.
• Always wait until the fryer has reached the desired tem erature
and the ilot light has gone out, before adding the food.
• Do not overfill the basket.



CAUTI N: This fryer has a built-in safety cut off switch that triggers if
the unit accidentally overheats (e.g. tem erature control fails to
function.) Should this ha en, firstly ut the thermostat knob on
minimum osition and un lug the dee fat fryer. Wait until the
element cools down (about 15 minutes). Then ress the restart button
situated in the back of the control anel, above the cord storage
using a tooth ick. This will reset the dee fat fryer. Your dee fat fryer
is now ready to use. To make sure this does not ha en again,
lease read the instruction manual thoroughly.
RECIPES
Fresh Chips
• Fresh chi s are best fried in two stages.
• Use ‘old’ otatoes (not ‘new’ otatoes). Cut the otatoes into
equal sizes. Rinse the chi ed otatoes under running water to
reduce the starch level. Dry thoroughly and se arate the ieces.
• Do not exceed the recommended weight. When the
tem erature has reached 355°F, lace the chi s in the basket
and slowly lower the basket into the oil
• For 500g of chi s, fry for 8 minutes on 355°F then raise the basket.
• Wait until the tem erature light goes out again, lower the basket
and fry for a further 2 minutes.
• Raise the basket and let the chi s drain.
• For best results, before serving gently dab the chi s with
absorbent a er to remove excess oil.
• Frying times may vary slightly on the ty e of otatoes used and
the thickness of the chi s.
nion Rings
• Frying tem erature - 350°F C for 4 to 5 minutes
• 2. Peel the onions and slice. Se arate the slices into rings
• Di the rings into a bowl of seasoned milk
• Then dust the rings in lain flour
• Place the rings se arately in the frying basket and fry a few at a
time.



Breaded Mushrooms
• Frying tem erature - 350°F for 4 to 5 minutes
• Beat 1 egg and di the mushrooms into the egg
• Then coat the mushrooms with breadcrumbs
• Place se arately into the frying basket and fry a few at a time.
Sole sticks
• Frying tem erature – 320°F for 3-4 minutes
• Cut the sole fillet into thin slices. Coat the slices in some seasoned
lain flour
• Then di the slices into beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs.
• Place se arately into the frying basket and fry a few at a time.

CLEANING
• Caution: never immerse the appliance in water or any other
liquid.
• Un lug the dee fat fryer.
• Wait until the unit is com letely cool before cleaning. Be careful
when touching the heating element as it might stay hot for quite
some time after you have un lugged the a liance. NEVER
IMMERSE THE CONTROL PANEL IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID
FOR ANY REASEON WHATSOEVER.
• Follow the section ‘ Disassembling the dee fat fryer’.
• Do not use strong detergents or abrasive cloths/liquid, as this will
damage the dee fat fryer.
• Clean the fryer with warm soa y water. It may hel to soak the
arts for a short time.
• Thoroughly dry all arts of the a liance.
• Change the oil regularly.
• To assemble, follow the section ‘Assembling the dee fat fryer’.
ST RING
• Wait until the dee fat fryer is com letely cool before storing.
• The unit can be stored with the oil inside. Ensure the lid is tightly
closed to avoid dust getting into the oil.


