OPERATION
• Before us ng your appl ance for the f rst t me, check f t s clean
(see “Ma ntenance and clean ng”) as t comes nto d rect
contact w th bread. Check f any object has fallen nto the slots.
• Place the bread sl ces n the slots (for the French bread, cut a loaf
shorter than the slots, then cut t n two p eces along ts length.).
Your appl ance s prov ded to rece ve French bread, but also
p eces of toast or other bread sl ces f the r th ckness and the r
length are shorter than the one of the slots.
• Press down the bread carr age handle unt l t stops ( n the same
t me, the gr d ns de the slots w ll t ghten around the bread n
order to keep t away from the heat ng w res). Then release the
pressure and the handle w ll stay n the lower pos t on, wh ch
means that the heat ng process has begun. If the handle comes
up mmed ately, check f the appl ance s plugged n, as the
bread carr age cannot be locked f the toaster s not plugged- n.
• You can adjust the brown ng ntens ty to obta n a more or less
toasted bread by pos t on ng the brown ng control selector to
one of the degrees marked from 1 to 6. Therefore you only have
to turn clockw se to ncrease the ntens ty, and ant clockw se to
decrease t. The h gher the number s, the more toasted the
bread w ll be.
• Dur ng operat on, f you th nk that the bread s toasted enough or
for another reason, you can stop the heat ng process, s mply by
press ng the cancel button.
• The reheat button allows you to reheat already toasted bread or
to toast bread wh ch s not toasted enough dur ng a short t me,
w thout mod fy ng the brown ng degree.
• The defrost button allows you to toast the bread that has been
frozen beforehand.
• If you want to reheat bagels, push the "BAGEL" button. Only one
s de n the toaster slot w ll then be heat ng.
• Always unplug the appl ance after use and let t cool down
before handl ng or stor ng t.
• A cord w nder cons st ng of 4 hooks s foreseen on the bottom of
the appl ance. When you store your appl ance, w nd the cord
around the hooks.
