To obtain optimum protection and comfort, please select the
right size and ensure that the vest is fitted correctly to your
body. Close all the closures and other straps for maximum
comfort. If necessary, refer to the following table to select the
appropriate size for your body shape:
WARNING (E)
Any modification or improper use may negatively impact the
system performance. Do not, under any circumstances, modify
your airbag system, the In&box or its components in any way.
Any modification of any kind may compromise its functionality
and protection capabilities in a fall or accident. Never add
decorations, ribbons, self-adhesive patches, or other parts to
the airbag system. Never connect an electronic device or an
external battery to the system. The vest components must
never be modified.
WARNING (F)
This personal protective equipment (PPE) is intended to protect
against mechanical impacts. In certain cases, it helps reduce
the severity of the injuries to riders and passengers following a
fall to the ground, a collision with a vehicle or an impact against
an obstacle.
There is no product that can offer total protection against
injuries, death, bodily harm, or damage in case of a fall, accident,
collision, impact, loss of control or any other event. Only the
parts of the body covered by the protection may be protected
against impact. The In&motion airbag system can never be

OPERATING A MOTORCYCLE AND RACING ARE INHERENTLY
DANGEROUS ACTIVITIES THAT CAN RESULT IN DEATH, BRAIN
DAMAGE, PARALYSIS OR SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY. YOU
ASSUME THE RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH WHENEVER YOU ARE
OPERATING A MOTORCYCLE. The In&box and associated airbag
system are designed to reduce certain of those risks in defined
conditions, but they cannot eliminate all risks or insure against
injury or death even in situations where the system performs as
intended.
Further, excessive speed or other violation of traffic laws or
user error can result in accident situations beyond the capacity
of the system to minimize or eliminate the risks of injury.
WARNINGS AND USE LIMITATIONS
NO PROTECTIVE GARMENTS CAN OFFER COMPLETE
PROTECTION AGAINST ALL INJURIES!
Always use your motorcycling garments in combination with
other PPE, including helmets, and other corresponding or
complementary PPE garments such as jackets, trousers, impact
protectors, boots, eye protection and gloves.
• Motorcycling is an INHERENTLY DANGEROUS ACTIVITY:
wearing protective equipment should not be an excuse for
increasing readiness to take risks
• Do not use the protective vest for other uses: improper
handling may seriously reduce the protection provided.
There is no product (neither PPE nor PPE combinations) that can
offer total protection against injuries or death.
WARNING: do not use YOUR GARMENT without its PROTECTORS
inserted!
IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND OR APPRECIATE THE DANGER
OF THESE ACTIVITIES, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM ALL
MOTORSPORTS ACTIVITY AND FURTHER USE OF IN&MOTION
AIRBAG SYSTEM.
TEMPERATURE LIMITATIONS (G)
The system must be used exclusively at temperatures between
-10°C and 45°C (14°F and 113°F). Prolonged exposure of the

ENGLISH 5
system to temperatures exceeding this range may compromise
its functionality.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS (H)
Do not wet the back protector or the back of your item. The
inflator connector, the inflator, the In&box must not encounter
water. Clean the exterior and interior of your item with soapy
water using a small soft brush and by gently scrubbing in a
circular motion. Then rinse with a soft wet sponge to remove
the excess soap and any dirt that you may have loosened in the
previous step. Dry your item first by using a soft cotton cloth;
then leave to completely air dry in a dry and ventilated area for a
minimum of 12 hours.
• Do not bleach
• Do not iron
• Do not machine wash
• Do not dry clean
• Do not tumble dry
• Do not use a hair dryer
• Do not use detergent
• Dry away from sources of heat and away from sunlight
WARNING (I)
The airbag vest is designed to offer optimal protection only if
the airbag system is inflated.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION (J)
Keep the vest and the In&box in a clean and ventilated area,
away from humidity and light, and away from impacts and
pressure. Do not store the vest and the In&box near combustible
surfaces or objects. Do not leave the vest exposed to direct
sunlight, under a windscreen, store in a car, or in a top case.
Do not fold, crease, bend, twist, or ball up the vest. Hang it on
a hanger or in a completely flat position to avoid any rupture or
breakage.
Transport the vest in clean packaging protecting it from
humidity and direct sunlight.
Make sure to turn your In&box off when using any other
transportation (car, bus, airplane, train or using a motorcycle but
not wearing the airbag system) and keep this user manual for as
long as you have the vest and transfer the user manual to any
subsequent owner of the vest. Furthermore, keep this user

ENGLISH6
manual with the product when travelling, notably by airplane. If
it is used incorrectly, the vest may cause an unsuitable inflation,
which could damage your belongings or even create a safety
risk for other people. On the In&motion site www.inemotion.com
you will find the necessary documents to facilitate the transport
of your product. In&motion cannot be held liable in the event an
airline refuses to transport the product by airplane.
PRODUCT INSPECTION (K)
After an impact, the back protector, the airbag system and in
particular the airbag cushion, may be partially damaged by
having absorbed the energy from the impact to reduce its force.
Time can also partially damage your product. Systematically
before every use check visually your protection equipment to
confirm that it is in good useable condition and not damaged:
• No fabric deterioration (excessive bubbling, snags, fraying
seams, broken seams, over-stitching)
• No deterioration of the plastic parts (fissures, cracking,
whitening).
“This product should only be serviced/repaired by KLIM to
guarantee the full functionality of this product. Under no
circumstances should the vest be modified or disassembled.”
“Follow local regulations for recycling/discarding the vest and
back protector.”
The vest life cycle is variable. It depends on the frequency and
conditions of use. Used and maintained correctly, the vest is
guaranteed 2 years starting from the date of purchase.
It has been designed to withstand 3 inflations without
mandatory return to the manufacturer [www.KLIM.com]
for inspection, provided that the post- inflation inspection
procedure is always respected. After having endured 3
inflations, the airbag vest may function improperly.

4. Wear and adjust your airbag vest
The vest must be worn under your coat or jacket (fitted and
fully closed) designed for two-wheeled motor vehicle. Under
no circumstances should the vest be worn alone, without a
protective coat or jacket over it because the vest textile is not
resistant to abrasion.
JACKET COMPATIBILITY (Q)
The vest is not compatible with a backpack or child harness.
The vest is not compatible with jackets or coats having a
support in the crotch. Never wear a neckbrace while wearing the
airbag system. The vest is not compatible with a neckbrace.
Do not zip your vest to your trousers. The vest is not compatible
with full one-piece suit (for instance textile, leather, rain suit)
except “In&motion Compatible Airbag system” suits which have
been tested and are compatible with a proper inflation of the
airbag, provided that the size of the garment is appropriate to
your body dimensions.
The following KLIM one-piece suit has been
tested and are “In&motion Compatible
Airbag system”:
• Hardanger 3737-000
To select the proper size of your garment,
please refer to the sizing guide of the
garment.

ENGLISH16
The use of the vest with non-compatible suit may cause the
airbag to function improperly and can cause injury.
USE RECOMMENDATION (R)
Warning! Excessive exposure to water will cause the vest to
function improperly. It is recommended for use only under a
waterproof protection garment designed for two-wheeled motor
vehicle users.
The vest textile is not abrasion resistant. Therefore, it is
imperative that your jacket or coat designed for use with two-
wheeled motor vehicles completely covers the vest.
To verify that your jacket on your body is compatible with the
airbag vest, measurements must be taken. You can check the
compatibility of your jacket or vest yourself by following the
protocol below:
1) Measurements of the user without vest
Take the following measurements without
wearing the vest:
A) Measure around your chest in cm | in
inches (e.g. 100 cm | 39 inches)
B) Measure around your waist, at navel
height, in cm | in inches (e.g. 90 cm | 35
inches)
C) Add these 2 measurements, then divide by 2
(e.g. 100+90=190 and 190/2=95 cm | 39+35=74 and 74/2=37
inches)
2) Measurements of your jacket or coat
The following measurements are taken while stretching the
jacket. All the elastic fabrics and elasticated parts in the
direction of measurement taking must be fully stretched. Place
your closed jacket on a flat surface.
A) While stretching the jacket until the elasticated parts and
fabrics are taut, measure the width of the jacket under the
armpits in cm
(e.g. 58cm | 22 inches)
B) In the same way, while stretching the jacket fully, measure the
width of the jacket at navel level in cm (e.g. 52cm | 20 inches)
C) Add these 2 measurements (e.g. 58+52=110 cm | 22+20=42
inches)

ENGLISH 17
Your jacket is compatible with the vest if the difference between
the first (95cm | 37 inches) and the second result obtained in C
(110cm | 42 inches) is greater than or equal to 13cm | 5.2 inches.
If you are not sure, ask your local reseller for advice.
Example: 110-95=15cm | 42-37=5 inches... your jacket is
compatible.
If your jacket is not compatible, do not use the airbag vest with
your jacket. Wearing the airbag vest in such a case may cause
the airbag to function improperly and can cause injury.
If you need help figuring out sizing, contact KLIM customer
service.

RISK ANALYSIS [Y]
Over the last 15 years, data stemming from accident and trauma
studies of two-wheeled motor vehicle users shows that during
serious accidents, injuries are statistically concentrated at the
thorax, abdomen, and spinal column. Among users injured on
two-wheeled motor vehicles, 17% are considered very serious
injuries, of which 75% affect the thorax (Source: ONISR –
January 2015). The airbag vest is not designed to protect your
lower limbs, upper limbs, head.
DETECTION CONDITIONS [Z]
User safety is In&motion’s primary concern.
As part of our obligation of means, we strive to implement all the
technological solutions that we have available so that the In&box
detection system can offer the best degree of protection and
comfort.
However, the user of this protection system is responsible for
his/her protection, and this system is developed by In&motion
to provide optimal protection only during responsible and
respectful behavior on the road. In&motion does not guarantee
the absence of damage. The In&motion airbag system cannot
make up for behaviour that is dangerous, or in conflict with road
safety regulations.
Details regarding detection and deployment of the airbag can be
found in the In&box user manual.
For the airbag to function properly, the user must check the
following items before each use:
The inflator present in the airbag system is filled and connected
properly; the LEDS on the In&box held check the inflator status,
see the In&box User Manual (“LEDS meaning”)
The inflator present in the airbag system is always usable; the
inflator expiration date is indicated on the label on the inflator;
If the airbag vest has already been inflated, the user has
correctly followed the procedure in this user manual (“After an
inflation”).
WARNING:
The vest must not be used by people wearing a pacemaker or
any other implanted medical devise, or who have a history of
cardiac problems.

ENGLISH 19
Use of the vest is not recommended for persons who have back
or neck problems.
The vest must not be used by persons who have breast
protheses.
The vest must not be used by pregnant women.
Any piercing present in the area covered by the vest must be
removed.
Do not carry any sharp objects (such as key, knife, screwdriver)
in your jacket that may damage the airbag cushion.
The degree of risk or hazard that a motorcyclist will face
is closely linked to the type of riding and the nature of
the accident. Riders are cautioned to carefully choose
motorcyclists’ protective garments that match their riding
activity and risks. Other garments or garment combinations
certified according to the FprEN 17092 series of standards may
provide more appropriate protection than this garment but there
may be weight or ergonomic (e.g. range of motion restrictions)
or heat stress penalties associated with their use, that may be
less appropriate for some riders.
This PPE garment is designed to provide impact protection for
the areas covered by the impact protector(s). It does not offer
abrasion protection.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If you have a problem concerning the vest, the airbag system
or you do not know where the problem is coming from, contact
your local reseller.
If you have a problem concerning the In&box, contact In&motion
customer service by email customer@inemotion.com or by
phone (find the phone number of your country on In&motion
website www.inemotion.com).

protection against injuries or damages to an individual or an
asset in the event of fall, collision, impact, loss of control, or
other. Likewise, this back protector may not totally prevent
injuries to the spinal column. The back protector does not offer
protection against the risks of perforation, cut or penetration
of an object. Use of this product must not encourage exceeding
any limits or taking additional risks.
2 SIZING SELECTION
Refer to the table below to choose your size:
