Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of personal injury or product damage. Handle
with care. Vitreous china can break or chip if the product is
handled carelessly.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Carefully inspect the new toilet for damage.
If the existing toilet does not have a supply shut-off valve below
the tank, install one before installing the new toilet.

1. Remove the Existing Toilet
Turn off the water supply.
Flush the toilet, then sponge out all remaining water from the
tank.
Disconnect the supply shut-off valve (if present), and remove the
old tank and bowl.
Remove the old wax seal from the floor with a putty knife.
Replace the old T-bolts with the new 5/16″diameter T-bolts.
CAUTION: Risk of hazardous gases. If the new toilet is not
installed immediately, temporarily stuff a rag in the closet flange.

2. Install the New Toilet
Install or relocate the supply and outlet as necessary to conform
to the roughing-in dimensions.
Install a supply shut-off valve.
Record the model number in the Homeowners Guide.
Lay the toilet down onto a padded surface.
From the bottom of the toilet, firmly press a new wax seal around
the toilet outlet.
Remove the temporary rag (if used) from the toilet flange hole.
Align and lower the toilet over the flange and T-bolts.
CAUTION: Risk of external leakage. Do not lift or rock the
bowl after placement. If you break the watertight seal, you must
install a new wax seal.
Apply your full body weight around the toilet to set the seal.
Place the plastic bolt cap bases over the T-bolts in the ″up″
position as marked.
Place the metal washers and nuts on the plastic bolt cap bases
and T-bolts.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Overtightening may cause
breakage or chipping of vitreous china.

Install the New Toilet (cont.)
Carefully tighten the nuts.
NOTE: To achieve optimum performance, be sure the bowl is level.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Protect the vitreous china
from exposure to the saw blade when cutting off excess T-bolt
length.
If the T-bolts extend more than 1/4″(6mm) over the top of the
nuts, cut off the excess.
Attach the bolt caps.

3. Activation Sensor and Chain Assembly
NOTE: The activation sensor must be installed exactly as shown.
Position the activation sensor.
Cut and remove the wire tie.
Position the sensor wire on the center of the toilet tank front rim.
Place the end of the activation sensor 1-5/16” (3.3cm) to the right
of the toilet centerline.
NOTE: It is not necessary to rotate the activation sensor while it is
cradled in the wire basket.
NOTE: The sensor activates the toilet flushing mechanism when the
magnet in the seat is brought within 3” (7.6cm) of the sensor for at
least 20 seconds.
Route the sensor wire to the left, near the float valve, as shown.
This ensures that polarity exists between the sensor and the
magnet in the seat.
NOTE: Make sure the sensor wire does not interfere with the
operation of the float valve.
Place the mounting bracket for the housing assembly on the back
of the toilet tank in an area extending 3-1/8″(7.9cm) to the right
of the toilet centerline.

Install or Replace the Batteries
Insert a screwdriver blade into the seam on top of the housing
assembly.
Carefully pry open the battery compartment latch and disengage
the other side of the latch from the hinges.
Install two D-size batteries into the compartment.
Snap the latch back into place.
Adjust the Chain Assembly
Move the S-hook up or down on the chain link as needed to
achieve the desired chain slack. For a proper flush, ensure that
enough chain slack remains for the cam to rotate and open the
flapper completely.
Make additional adjustments by loosening the screws on the back
of the mounting bracket. Raise or lower the mounting bracket to
adjust the chain slack.
If you adjust the mounting bracket, make sure adequate clearance
exists between the housing assembly, flush valve, tank walls, and
tank cover.

4. Complete the Installation
Connect the supply shut-off valve to the toilet supply shank.
Open the supply shut-off valve slowly to check for leaks. If the
connections have been properly assembled, a slight tightening of
the nuts should stop any leakage.
NOTE: Do not substitute another seat. The seat included contains
elements of the Peacekeeper flush system.
Install the toilet seat according to the packed instructions.
Carefully set the cover onto the tank.
Flush the toilet several times and check all connections for leaks.
Periodically check for leaks for several days following the
installation.

ATTENTION : Risque de blessures ou d’endommagement du
produit. Manipulez avec précaution. La Porcelaine de Chine peut
se casser ou se fendre si le produit est manipulé avec négligence.
Respectez tous les codes locaux de plomberie et de bâtiment.
Examinez soigneusement le nouveau W.C. pour déceler tout
dommage.
Si le W.C. existant ne comporte pas de robinet d’arrêt sur l’arrivée
d’eau située sous le réservoir, installez en un avant d’installer le
nouveau W.C.

1. Retirez le W.C.
Fermez l’arrivée d’eau.
Activez la chasse d’eau du W.C. et épongez le restant d’eau du
réservoir.
Débranchez le robinet d’arrêt (le cas échéant) et retirez le
réservoir et la cuvette.
Délogez du sol l’anneau en cire existant avec un couteau à mastic.
Remplacez le vielle écrou en T avec un neuf de Ø 5/16″.
ATTENTION : Risque de fuites de gaz nocives. Si l’installation
du nouveau W.C. doit être retardée, recouvrir temporairement la
bride du sol avec un chiffon.
