Intended use
This product is intended for use in private households for personal balance
and muscle training and improving coordination and reactions. This product
is not intended for utilisation in medicinal, therapeutic or commercial applications.
Area of utilisation: H = Home areas
Dimensions: 405 x 50 mm (Board); 300 x 300 x 3 mm (Mat)
Weight : approx. 630 g (Board); approx. 40 g (Mat)
Load capacity : 100 kg max.
Safety instructions
To avoid the risks of accidents and personal injuries:
• To avoid the risk of falls due to a board slipping away, use it only on
horizontal, level and slip-free surfaces. For increased safety, lay the supplied
mat underneath the board. Do not train in an environment offering a potentially
increased risk of falls (e.g. close to stairs).
• To avoid injuries in the event of a fall, remove all hard, angular and sharp
objects within a perimeter of two meters from the board.
• Wear only slip-resistent sport shoes when training, do not train either barefoot
or in socks. With sport shoes you considerably reduce the risk of slipping
and also of trapping your toes, should you unintentionally slip underneath
the board.
• Only train when you are in a good physical condition and your sense of
balance is not being negatively influenced. Do not train with ligament injuries
or with known ligament weaknesses, also not if you are tired or if anything
is causing you pain. Excessive or incorrect training can cause damage to
your health. If necessary, consult your doctor to find out if training with this
device is suitable for you.
• Do not support yourself with your hands on the board and do not grasp
the edges of it. Also, do not sit on the board. There is an acute risk of
crush injuries should your hands or fingers unintentionally slip under the
board.
• Always check to ensure that the device is in a serviceable condition before
taking it into use. If there is recognisable damage to the device it may no
longer be used. Arrange for the device to be checked by Customer Services.
• This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children)
with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences
in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how
the appliance is to be used. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the device.
To avoid damages:
• If you need to protect carpets, parquet floors or other floor coverings, place
the supplied mat under the device.
• Do not carry out any turning movements (so-called “Twisting”). Due to the
selective loading the supplied mat and soft floor coverings will be damaged
by the turning movements.
• Do not train with shoes that have studs or spikes (e.g. particular running
shoes). These would damage the board.
Training
• Locate the board qso that, if necessary, you can grasp and support
yourself on a wall, a door or a soft sofa-arm. Lay the mat wunderneath
so as to avoid having the board slip away.
• Step onto the board q, first with the one foot and then with the other. If
necessary, you can also support yourself, as described above. Then
attempt to balance yourself upright, with both feet on the board. When
you feel safe, you can also attempt the balancing with closed eyes.
• A good exercise is the slow tipping to all four sides, as shown in the picture
series. This is achieved through the careful shifting of bodyweight to the
front e, left r, right tand to the rear y.

• Also attempt balancing on only one foot. For this, place the left or right
foot in the middle of the board and raise the other i. Place your hands
on your hips u to balance with just your legs.
• An effective exercise is balancing in a slight squat with the arms close
against the body s. Thereby, curve your shoulders a to the front and
direct your view o to a fixed point in the room.
• A good coordination exercise is swivelling, with your folded arms held
behind your head. For this, place your feet well apart h so that you are
securely balanced. Now fold your arms behind your head dand push
your elbows to the rear. When you are once again well balanced, you
can attempt the turn your arms, together with your head and shoulders,
lightly from left to right f. Thereby, do not move the hips or legs g, or
you can attempt to lightly turn these in the opposite direction.
• Further training possibilities occur with, for example, a second person.
When standing on the board have someone throw a soft ball to you, and
attempt to catch it without losing balance.
Cleaning, Maintenance and Disposal
• Clean the board and the mat using only a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do
not use any form of detergent or solvents, these would damage the plastic
surfaces.
• The board is maintenance-free. It does not contain any parts subject to
wear.
• At regular intervals check the mat for indications of wear.
Dispose of the product and all packaging materials in an environmentally
friendly manner. Retain these instruction in a safe place for future reference
and, if someone else acquires the device, pass them on to the new owner.
