Fitting / replacing the bag
The easiest way to install the bag is to guide it around
the cyclone outlet with both hands where after the lug-
gage strap is unhooked from one eye, passed around
the outlet, and hooked onto the other eye. Repeat with
the other luggage strap.
Wear protective goggles when changing bags with a
running blower, see section "Warning notes".
When the bag is full, do the following
(CUB without material valve):
• Stop the CUB on the start/stop switch
• Loosen the luggage straps and hook it into the
eyelets
• Tie the bag with e.g. a cable tie
• Fit a new bag
• Start the CUB on the start/stop switch
•
When the bag is full, do the following
(CUB with material valve):
• Press down the material valve switch
• Loosen the luggage straps and hook them into the
eyelets
• Untie the bag with e.g. a cable tie
• Install a new bag
• Press up the material valve switch
It is advantageous to use an endless bag, which will
make it quicker to remove the lled bag and thus not
interrupt the material suction any longer than neces-
sary. See section "Accessories".
Both bag and lter should be inspected regularly, de-
pending on the material, and whether anti-static equip-
ment or oil lubrication system is tted.
The bags can be purchased from Kongskilde under the
following item numbers:
Part no. Type
100 203 149 Material bag 900 litre (10 pcs.)
100 203 146 Endless material bag (1 pcs.)
Cleaning and replacing the lters - see section " Ser-
vice and maintenance".
The door handle should be locked and the key re-
moved during normal operation, to prevent unauthor-
ized access to internal components.
Accessories:
Material valve (for interrupting material discharge
when changing bags)
The valve makes it possible to change the bag without
having to switch o the material suction. The valve is
operated by a pneumatic cylinder and is activated by
the material valve switch.
The valve is activated with a switch at the cyclone
(see section "Operation"). The pressure to the cylinder
must not exceed 6 bar, see "Technical data" if neces-
sary. Make sure to keep the valve closed only just long
enough as it takes to change the bag, otherwise there
is risk of material blockage in the CUB's blower, cutter
or cyclone.
Retainer for endless bag
The retainer makes it possible to mount endless bags.
Once a suitable amount of material has lled the bag,
it can be tied o with e.g. 2 cable ties and the bag is
cut between the 2 cable ties.
NB - Do not remove the cable ties from the endless
bag, before it is placed in the bag holder, otherwise
there is a risk that the bag will slip and become dicult
to place in the bag holder.
HEPA lter
The lter is mounted on top of the cyclone and supple-
ments the standard tted pre-lter (F7). The HEPA lter
ensures that the exhaust air from the CUB is cleaned
of material residues and dust, and makes it possible to
exhaust directly into the production room, depending
on local air quality requirements. The lter is held in
place by the 4 included steel rails (the 4 brackets hold-
ing the pre-lter are removed before installation).
Ultrasonic sensor for full bag detection
The sensor is mounted in a pipe inside the cyclone and
will be able to detect when the bag is about to be full.
The signal will switch on an indicator lamp on the top
of the CUB according to the following colour indication:
• Red = Bag is completely full and CUB is
stopped
• Yellow = Bag is 80% full or more
• Green = CUB is running in normal operation
Oil lubrication system
The system consists of an oil reservoir, an injection
nozzle, a pressure regulator and a timer.
The oil system adds a quantity of oil into the pipework
through an adjustable nozzle before the cutter. The oil
is further atomised in the cutter, which lubricates the
blower and cyclone. This prevents sticky/adhesive ma-
terials from blocking the CUB. The system is powered
by compressed air and a 24VDC timer, and contains
an integrated 10 litre container.
It is possible to adjust the amount of oil on the nozzle
and on the timer in the control, depending on the need.
The pressure regulator must be set between 0,5 - 2,5
bar and the timer is delivered set to switch on 50% of
the time.
