Installing the battery
 Whenyouinstallorreplacethebaery,makesuretoturnthe

When the baery begins to run low, the green LED at the
center of the meter () becomes dark. Once the baery
depletes further, the note name indicator LED will ash,
and the LED meter will not function smoothly. Once this
occurs, it’s time to replace the baery as soon as possible.

2. Makingsuretoobservethecorrectpolarity,insertthe
baerysothatthe“+”sideofthebaeryisvisible.

Attaching to the instrument
Aach the Rimpitch-C to the lower side of the sound hole
so that the display is easy to read when you place the guitar
into playing position. The Rimpitch-C detects the pitch and
tunes by picking up the vibrations of the guitar.
 TheRimpitch-Ccanbeaachedtoanyguitarwherethesound
holehasacirclediameterof100mm+/-3mm.
 PleasecarefullyaachtheRimpitch-Ctoyourinstrument.
LeavingtheRimpitch-Caachedforalongperiodoftime
maydamageormarktheinstrument’ssurface.
 Dependingonvariousfactorssuchasage-relatedchangeor
thesurfacenish,thereisapossibilitythatyourinstrument

Tuning
1. Pressthepower/CALIBbuontoturnontheRimpitch-C. 
The current reference pitch will light up for several seconds
in the referrence pitch indicator.
ToturnotheRimpitch-C,holddownthepower/CALIB
buon.
If the power is le on for approximately 3 minutes without
any user input, it will turn o automatically.
2. Playasinglenoteonyourinstrument.Thenotename
indicatorwilllightupclosesttothepitchthat’sdetected.
Tune your instrument to the correct pitch so that the de-
sired note name lights up. To tune a semitone higher, tune
your instrument so that both the note name and the sharp
symbol (#) on the right side lights up.
3. Onceagainplayasinglenoteonyourinstrument,and
adjustthetuningsothatonlythecentersegmentofthe
meter(indicatedby )islitupbrightly.
An indicator on the right on will light up if the pitch is too
high( ), and an indicator on the le side will light up if
the pitch is too low( ).
The pitch is sharp.
The pitch is slightly sharp.
The pitch is slightly flat.
In tune.
The pitch is flat.
 Evenifthepitchiswithintherangeofdetection,itmaynotbe
possibletodetectthepitchofaninstrumentalsoundthatcontains
largenumbersofovertonesorasoundthathasarapiddecay.
 Themetermayrespondtovibrationsitpicksupfromtheenvi-
ronment;however,thiswillnotaecttuningoftheinstrument.
Changing the reference pitch (calibration)
With the Rimpitch-C turned on, press the power/CALIB but-
ton to change the reference pitch in 1 Hz steps.

Seings are remembered even when the Rimpitch-C is turned
o. However, seings will be initialized when you replace the
baery. (Default: 440 Hz)

Installing the battery
 Whenyouinstallorreplacethebaery,makesuretoturnthe
poweroaerdetachingtheRimpitch-Cfromtheguitar.
When the baery begins to run low, the green LED at the
center of the meter () becomes dark. Once the baery
depletes further, the note name indicator LED will ash,
and the LED meter will not function smoothly. Once this
occurs, it’s time to replace the baery as soon as possible.

Attaching to the instrument
Aach the Rimpitch-C to the lower side of the sound hole
so that the display is easy to read when you place the guitar
into playing position. The Rimpitch-C detects the pitch and
tunes by picking up the vibrations of the guitar.

The current reference pitch will light up for several seconds
in the referrence pitch indicator.

If the power is le on for approximately 3 minutes without
any user input, it will turn o automatically.
2. Playasinglenoteonyourinstrument.Thenotename
indicatorwilllightupclosesttothepitchthat’sdetected.
Tune your instrument to the correct pitch so that the de-
sired note name lights up. To tune a semitone higher, tune
your instrument so that both the note name and the sharp
symbol (#) on the right side lights up.
3. Onceagainplayasinglenoteonyourinstrument,and
adjustthetuningsothatonlythecentersegmentofthe
meter(indicatedby )islitupbrightly.
