Security instructions
Kumpan 1950 Urban.
When using the kickboard 1950 Urban, the following docu-
ments and ID’s have to be carried along:
• Identity card
• Driving license
• Insurance papers
• License Plate
The vehicle is exclusively designed for road trac (license
plate required), and can be driven with the following driver’s
license categories:
• (Free of taxes and registration)
• From 15 years of age with a moped – test certificate
The kickboard is exclusively designed for the operation by one
person only.
ATTENTION: Riding with a passenger is not permitted!
Not following these instructions can make the warranty void.
Caution:
Modification of any part or characteristic with the intent
Important information:
of increasing its power or performance is prohibited.
Modifications of this type are illegal. There is also the risk of seri-
ously damaging the scooter, and worse, such modifications can make
it unsafe, leading to possible falls or accidents, with serious or even
fatal injuries. In addition, this type of modification results in the imme-
diate and total voiding of the warranty.
Please contact your Kumpan dealer to determine which accessories
can be installed without impacting the performance and the warranty.
Do not attempt to modify your license plate holder, the lamps, the
bell and the rearview mirrors. This will lead to a loss of warranty and
impact the insurance coverage, as well. The change of the vehicle
identification number is considered a criminal act and will be pursued
accordingly; the owner will be held legally responsible for this action.
Kumpan 1950 Urban/ Pure:
• Always follow state regulations and trac rules regarding
the operation of your electric scooter.
•Always wear a safety helmet and suitable clothing, pads,
and shoes, and maintain full control of the scooter at all times
while riding.
•Observe the battery’s charging requirements to avoid dama-
ging the scooter and to significantly extend its service life.

7
No additional documents are required to be carried along, when using
the kickboard 1950 Urban/Pure. The usage of this model is restricted
by provincial or municipal law. Consult your state’s transportation
authorities for the latest regulations before operating the scooter
on Urbans. The scooter can only be used on private property UNLESS
it is Urban legal in the state in which you intend to operate it. (While
federal and many state laws approve its legal use in bike lanes, some
states consider a motorized scooter not Urban legal.)
The vehicle identification numbers of the scooter are:
- Vehicle Identification Number (see page 40)
- Engine number (see page 32/33)
Before every ride, the scooter should be checked on its road
safety. This test includes:
- Functionality of the brakes
- Correct tire pressure
- Functionality of all signal and lighting equipment
- Functional general condition
Take extra care during bad weather conditions (wet roads,
fog, snow and ice). Always drive with caution appropriate to
the weather conditions and road conditions.
After a prolonged ride in the rain, as well as after cleaning the
scooter, the braking system response can be delayed due to hu-
midity. Therefore, please use the brake system gently during
rides in rainy conditions. After the kickboard cleaning, the brake
system should be operated on a trac free and safe area, until
they dry up. This way you will ensure a flawless braking eect.
ACHTUNG:
In freezing temperatures, please test all functions of your
brake system prior to usage of your vehicle.

Safety instructions
Always follow the national and local
trac regulations. Avoid sudden-
changes of direction with your vehicle
or any actions that could endanger
your own safety or the safety of other
road users. (i.e. driving on one wheel
or drive over the speed limit, etc.).
This scooter has been designed and
produced for use on even and paved
roads or surfaces only.
When consuming specific medicine,
alcohol, or anesthetics, the risk of
accidents is increasingly higher. Don’t
use the vehicle if your physical and
mental condition is disturbed. This
also applies to tiredness and agitati-
on.
Basic safety rules:
Most accidents are caused by the in-
experience of the driver. Therefore,
NEVER lend your vehicle to a novice.
Always make sure that the driver
possesses the necessary abilities to
drive in trac.

9
Always avoid to drive against obstac-
les that might damage the vehicle or
destabilize it
Do not drive too close behind prece-
ding vehicles and respect the appro-
priate distance to allow safe braking.
Always keep both hands on the hand-
lebar and ensure a correct driving pos-
ture. Remain focused and controlled
at all times, when driving your vehicle.
Don’t distract yourself during driving
(no smoking, no eating, no drinking,
etc.).
In case of an accident, fall or impact
to the vehicle, make sure that all con-
trols, the braking system and all main
parts are fully functional.
If any component was aected, bring
the vehicle to a Kumpan electric ser-
vice station for repair and check-up.
Please inform the Kumpan electric
service station about the circumstan-
ces, which led to the damage to help
identify any fault. Do not continue to
drive, if you recognize a fault on your
vehicle.

Safety instructions
Please do not change the position,
the angle/inclination or the color of
the following parts, under any circum-
stances: license plates, lightning sys-
tem and the bell. Any of these chan-
ges void the warranty, the insurance
coverage and the driving allowance on
Urbans.
Any changes that are performed on
the vehicle, including the removal of
original parts, can aect the perfor-
mance of the vehicle and also com-
promise the safety or make it illegal.
Always respect all local and national
regulations regarding the vehicle
equipment. Avoid changes that incre-
ase the vehicle performance or change
the original characteristics of the ve-
hicle. Avoid o-road driving.
Basic safety rules:
PROCECTIVE CLOTHING
Always, you should were special
clothing for your protection in case of
falling or accidents.
We recommend, you wear hand, el-
bow and knee protectors. As well as
a helmet for safety reasons. Closed,
sturdy and flat footwear is considered
as obligatory.
Bright-colored and reflective clothing
can help to make you more noticeable
in trac. Be sure to avoid loose clo-
thes that could get caught on any part
of your kickboard.
During the ride, always avoid to car-
ry objects with you, which in case of
falling may result in injuries, such as
keys, pen, glass container, etc.

11
ACCESSOIRES
The vehicle owner is personally liable
for the selection and installation of
accessories. When installing accesso-
ries, be extra careful that they do not
aect the functionality of the vehicle.
The same rules apply for the stee-
ring angle of the front wheel (this
shouldn’t be restricted in any way), as
well as the functionality of the opera-
ting elements (ground clearance and
the vehicle inclination angel in curves
shouldn’t be disturbed or reduced).
It is important not to use any acces-
sories
that may aect the controls, since
this may extend your reaction time in
an emergency.
Make sure that the equipment is well
fastened to the vehicle, in order to
prevent
dangerous situations while driving.
Never use electrical devices that may
influence the Power output of your
vehicle. There is a risk that the vehicle
suddenly stops or that there is a power
outage and the horn, turn signals
and lights cannot operate properly.
Kumpan electric recommends to use
only original accessories.
LOADING:
Always load the vehicle very carefully and re-
spect the total allowed weight. Make sure to
store the luggage as close as possible to the
center of gravity of the vehicle and keep an
even weight distribution. Check that the load
is firmly secured. All load has to be constantly
observed, especially during long trips
The maximum loading capacity is 100 Kg
andshouldnot beexceeded!

Safety instructions
Loading:
Never place bulky, heavy or dangerous
objects on the handlebars, the fenders
or the fork. Otherwise, there is a risk
that the responsiveness of the vehicle
is aected, especially in curves. Addi-
tionally, the overall stability could be
impaired. Do not fix large load onto the
sides of the vehicle, in order to avoid
hitting people or obstacles.
Make sure to only transport packages,
which can be safely fixed onto the ve-
hicle.
Avoid to transport any goods, which
exceed the dimensions of the carrier or
cover the light or the bell.
A Transportation of children or animals

First step before putting in usage
Your Kumpan 1950 leaves our factory preassembled
and set up.
The scope of supply contains:
• the folded kickboard
• handlebars (brake lever & brake cables as
well as the cabling are already prepared and connected)
• front wheel with fully assembled brake disk
• quick-release lever inclusive counter wing and locking nut
• a charger
• three rubber bumpers for protection of the painted parts
All it takes are only a few finishing touches to finalize
your Kumpan. Just follow the further instructions.
In addition to the above mentioned, the 1950
Urban contains:
A rearview mirror, a bell, front and rear light
(preassembled), frame extension with carrier
and bench, two orange side reflectors, licen-
se plate support (assembled) a throttle and a
speedometer.
Scope of supply:
The illustration shows the scope of supply from the model 1950 Pure

17
Assemble the handlebar preferably
with the kickboard in folded mode.
Remove all four M4 Allen screws and
detach the preinstalled cover from the
handlebar stem.
Set the handlebar (see illustration) in
the pan stem. Here, make sure that
the handlebar is centered in the hand-
lebar stem. The brake cable has to be
on the top side of the handlebar.
Now, recline the previously removed
stem cover and screw it back in using
the four M4 Allen screws. Screw these
in crosswise, thus an ulterior ergono-
mic adjustment of the handlebar is
possible.
Make sure that the handlebar stem
and the stem cover are parallel to
each other, when the Allen screws
are tightened.

Handlebar assembly (for 1950 Pure & 1950 Urban):

First step before putting in usage
!
In order to adapt your handlebar to your er-
gonomics, you should follow the additional
assembly steps:
Loosen all four previously fastened Allen
screws from the stem, when the kickboard
is in driving mode.
Only then, you can move the handlebar
to the front and back until you found the
desired position. Ongoing, you can fas-
ten the Allen screws again, to properly
mount the handlebar in this position.
Tighten them with a 4-6 Nm.
If the handlebar should not be fixed
correctly, as seen in the above illust-
ration, proceed with the adjustments
as described in the following steps:
Remove the rubber cover of the fixing
screw.
Release both 5mm Allen key screws
of the back of the porch in a counter
clockwise direction.
