Options 19T/021 –Operation
General Description
Both of 19T and 021 options provide AC Breaker Shunt Trip capabilities. However, depending on which
options are included in the charger, the options will function differently. Refer to the cover page of the manual
received with charger for unit specific optionslist or contact La Marche. See below for functional descriptions
dependent on the options included:
Option 19T:
The 19T option provides shunt trip capability of the AC Breaker among detection of a High DC Voltage
Shutdown alarm condition. No external connections are necessary. The High DC Voltage Shutdown alarm
threshold and delay can be adjusted by going into the charger’s settings menu. Refer to charger manual for
further instructions.
Option 021:
The 021 option is a feature which allows the AC breaker to be tripped when an external voltage signal is
applied to the designated terminal. This voltage can be either AC or DC depending on customer specifications.
The customer supplied voltage will drive the AC breaker shunt trip coil. Refer to the specific charger schematic
for external trip voltage specifications and connections.
Options 021 & 19T:
The 021/19T options combination will allow the AC breaker to be tripped by either the High DC Voltage
Shutdown alarm being activated or by applying an external voltage to the designated customer terminal. The
High DC Voltage Shutdown alarm threshold and delay can be adjusted by going into the settings menu. Refer
to the charger manual for further instructions and refer to the charger schematic for external trip voltage
signal specifications and connections.
