ELECTROSTATIC SPRAY GUNS
MANUAL - AUTOMATIC
ADVANTAGE OF USE
STAR 3001 is the new range of guns for the liquid electrostatic coating,
operating under low pressure, mistless or airless conditions able to
grant the best and even finishing on the workpiece, avoiding any leakage
or excessive thickness.
The advantages are clear:
• Reduced waste of product;
• Reduced time and labor costs;
• Improved quality of the finished product.
STAR 3001 manual or automatic guns are powered by a generator with
a low voltage cable and controlled by a pneumatic unit.
The voltage multiplier is activated by the trigger and it is placed insi-
de the gun granting the possibility of an easy replacement in case of
failure.
To perform the painting on parts subjected to the “Faraday cage” effect,
it is possible to modify the electrostatic charge adjusting the settings
directly on the handgrip.
Each type of gun is available for the use with highly-conductive
waterborne paints and for low pressure and mistless versions three
different adjustments are available:
• air atomization adjustment;
• spraying jet adjustment;
• product flow adjustment.

• Application method
• Max operating voltage 90 Kv
• Max operating pressure 200 bar (airless models)
• Max weight of the manual guns 750 g
• IP 56 protection for gun - control box system
• Voltage management directly from the gun through pre-set values
• New electronic-pneumatic control boxes thanks to new technology components
• Easy touch screen interface in the electronic box
• Higher performance for nozzles for an easy assembly and maintenance
• The gun is equipped with a probe to verify the resistivity of the paint, in order to ensure an optimal electrostatic winding.
• The gun is extremely easy handling due to low weight and ergonomics of the handle that can be adapted to the shape of the
operator’s hand thanks to the fully adjustable finger rest.
• The gun is built with a special technical result of extensive research to provide the best available on the market.
• The seals inside the gun are entirely composed of materials of last generation, chemically inert to solvents, oils and paints. This
ensures the best resistance offered until now by a producer to ensure maximum reliability, efficiency and durability of the life
cycle of the gun.
• The gun has an adjustable display directly on the gun for choosing the parameters of the working voltage, previously set by the
operator on the electric generator. It’s also possible register up to three different levels of working conditions for the same type of paint.
• In the low pressure painting, where it requires the adjustment of the stroke of the trigger, the function can be exerted directly on
the gun, simply by acting with the other hand on the same adjustment.
• The maintenance, assembly and disassembly of the gun are really simple thanks to the gun body made up of two units and the
handle and removable front. All without the need to use tools because each component is instantaneously visible and verifiable.
• The gun allows you to paint both water-based and solvent-based removing and replacing only the front.
• Insulating box to change from solvent-based paint to water-based paint is not required. Our gun is equipped with two lateral
outlets, in highly resistant material, which bring externally the charge to water-based paint, thus preventing the “rebound” effect
of this highly conductive paint. This means lower costs related to the preparation of high insulating box, reducing the size of the
work area and increasing operator safety.

GROUNDING
J
The optimal condition to achieve perfect coating and complete safety
for the personnel is the proper grounding of all system components.
In particular, make sure that:
• All system components are duly grounded.
• The hook holding the piece to be coated is perfectly clean.
• The earth resistance of the target object to be coated is below
1 MegaOhm.
• Tubes and grounding cables are not damaged. Should they be
worn, provide for their replacement.
An improper grounding may produce thick mists
of paint that may represent a risk of intoxication
for the personnel and an inadequate coating
(pattern will not shape, deformed pattern, wrap
back effect, etc..).
To avoid these inconveniences, make sure that
all system components are properly grounded.
Never use non-conductive tools and/or tanks made
of plastic or wood.
J.c - GROUNDING OF OPERATOR’S GLOVE
